  1. He gets an F so far. Just a flat out F. From the on field performance to the debacle on Rock Hill to the organizational revolving door. F.
  2. It worked out one time for us and we went 15-1 and went to the SB. Gettleman's early FA moves were stellar but then he got cocky and thought he could plug every hole with a draft pick or a bargain basement FA. That didn't work out so well.
  3. People get too caught up in star power. You don't necessarily need All-Pros across the board when you have good talent across the board with no glaring weaknesses.
  4. Nope. I'm letting Fitts sink or swim with this roster he has assembled. If he can find some FA pieces or swing some low level trades involving late round picks or non-core players, fine. But I'm not letting him trade anymore valuable assets either in terms of players or future picks trying to band aid up these shotgun wounds. This is either gonna work or we're in the GM market this off-season.
  5. I mean, there's probably folks sitting in boardrooms who could score very well on the S2 test but they lack the physical ability to play QB in the NFL. At some point there are simply physical prerequisites that no amount of mental ability will be able to overcome. I hope Bryce is on the right side of that line.
  6. I just hope he doesn't get ruined behind this OL or can at least show enough that this doesn't become his only shot to make it as a starter. The Bills' pass rush without Von Miller doesn't hold a candle to what teams like Philly and Dallas are gonna bring. The Commanders better get a helluva screen and quick slants game going because they're going to have to scheme to slow down a pass rush with their OL powerless to do it themselves.
  7. Just a piece of information to add to the evaluation. Nothing more, nothing less.
  8. 98 out of 99 on the S2 cognitive test plus this = well, we'll find out Bryce is going to be a test case on whether elite mental tool can make up for subpar physical ability. And yes, I realize the above RAS is only factoring in physical size but let's be real... Bryce dipped out on drills and athleticism testing for a reason.
  9. I didn't see the 4th one but the first three were all under pressure or actually being hit in the act of throwing. All three were balls he should've just ate and taken the sack so that's on him but their pass protection was possibly the worst I've ever personally seen at the NFL level which is a powerful statement from a long time Panthers fan.
  10. They have the most talented offense in the NFL. We traded our only legit WR and a ton of draft capital to go get our franchise QB. When you make a move like that it's because you think you're getting a guy that you don't have to surround with elite talent because your ability to do so is going to be severely limited. We're going to have to be wizards in FA and the mid-late rounds to make this experiment work. Ultimately, yeah I think the Tua comparison is apt but our ability to recreate what the Dolphins have is going to be a real uphill battle.
  11. Our OC essentially took a promotion for a pay raise and a job in title only. I hope it works out for him but did he really get sold on Reich being Andy Reid or something. Hell, for that matter has that approach really worked out for Eric Bieniemy? He ended up making a lateral move to go try to run an offense with a Ron Rivera OL. Best of luck buddy!
  12. He has a ton of NFL experience. That was the key qualification Tepper was looking for. The Panthers are starting to develop quite the habit under Tepper of thinking they can fix a problem by doing the exact opposite of their previous mistake.
  13. I mean let's be honest, other than Chicago wouldn't you? I might say Washington too seeing their OL. They allowed the second highest pressure percentage vs. the Bills of any game in the PFF era. Good old Ron and his "we don't need no darn pass blocking" mentality.
  14. Yeah, in the last game especially he looked to me like a guy who was second guessing himself out there a lot. He looked more comfortable in the two minutes drive when they went prevent but when they were pressuring he just looked like he wasn't comfortable throwing the ball down the field. Where he was questioning his reads or questioning his physical ability to deliver the throws I don't know.
  15. My concern is honestly less that than that I don't know that he can physically make these throws. He'll get more comfortable mentally but can he physically do it? That's the part that you can't coach.
  16. I don't disagree. I was just expecting Young to be further ahead in the mental aspects of the game than a typical rookie. I mean, that was the entire rationale behind drafting him because I don't think anyone would try to argue that he's a better physical prospect than Stroud or Richardson.
  17. Through three games. Yeah, I think the Falcons and Saints have better defenses than the Seahawks. But if you didn't see Dalton getting pressured and still maintaining his composure and making reads and throws I can't help you. It wasn't that our passing offense looked a little better with Dalton, it's that it looked a LOT better. Chark looked like a legit NFL WR making tough catches in traffic. It's not like we had guys all of a sudden getting wide ass open. We just had a QB throwing balls that gave them a chance.
  18. Meanwhile we traded the whole farm to draft a guy getting thoroughly outplayed by a washed up Andy Dalton. I just hope he can improve.
  19. Dalton threw for more yards in one game than Bryce has in two. He threw for more yards in both halves than Bryce has in either single game. He threw as many TD passes in one game as Bryce has in two. Those are facts, not a "narrative".
  20. He just doesn't seem to have any vision as a runner. Talented physically and can make some impressive plays but also runs into the backs of his own blockers when there's a huge gap just a few feet away.
  21. Dalton was a lot better than Bryce Young. I mean, he threw for nearly 400 yards and 2 TDs vs. 0 INTs and we still lost without much of a chance really to win coming down the stretch. Y'all, I think we just plain suck.
  22. I cut out at about the 5 minute mark. It was bad it was nowhere close to Washington bad. Howell was under pressure on over 80% of his drop backs. That's insane. Like SB50 insane.
  23. Leave it to our Carolina Panthers to finally deliver on that tank season we've all been begging for after we trade away next year's 1st.
  24. I got roasted on here for saying repeatedly that Fitts should follow Rhule out the door. Well, here we are.
  25. There's levels to this sorry protection game. Our protections was absolutely bad. Washington's protection made Bell/Chandler look like Orlando Pace and Johnathan Ogden.
