  1. Picking a RB coming off an ACL in the second round for a team that needs practically everything was such a head scratching luxury pick.
  2. I thought somebody would take a chance on his raw talent I the late 2nd or 3rd. But in terms of his college production and age, honestly 4th seems fair.
  3. I wanted McConkey but had a feeling that Coleman would be the pick. I was hoping all the Legette talk was a smokescreen. I didn't see him as a 1st or high 2nd round pick at all.
  4. 14 attempts and only 3 incompletions. That's pretty good. Oh wait...
  5. What happened to Matthews? I really liked him in the draft and he had a promising start in Philly then just fell off the map after two or three seasons.
  6. Good hemp flower whether it's CBD or CBG is indistinguishable from THC flower in look, taste, smell, etc. One just gets you high and the others don't.
  7. That list is trash. Baker is way over ranked and Johnny Football not even in the list? GTFO...
  8. Smitty has made numerous statements in retirement leading me to believe that he regrets a lot of that stuff and wishes he had been a better mentor and teammate. Having a gigantic chip on your shoulder as a player comes with positives and negatives. The positives were all the highlights on the field. The negatives were being an overall bad teammate. He was so competitive that he basically saw the other receivers in the locker room as opponents. They were competing with him for targets and he treated them accordingly. I honestly think that Moose who mentored him was the only fellow receiver he ever saw differently.
  9. I'm not surprised. Smitty was high on the Mingo pick and he's said that the way we used him last year minimized his strengths and basically forced him to play to his weaknesses. I don't see how it can possibly be seen as a negative for him to be working with the Panthers' GOAT WR.
  10. We're the new Browns. Minus the generational fandom from being around for 80 years.
  11. I hate interviewers like that who are just trying to make people look bad for clicks. I mean, Legette could probably dribble that dude's head off the sidewalk like a basketball and there ain't a damn thing he could do about it. So maybe think about that before doing that disrespectful poo.
  12. McConkey was my preference too. Especially after he ran better than I expected. Especially after watching guys like Kupp and Nacua come in and immediately light up the league. IMO, he's of that type of mold but faster. He could be a star.
  13. I hope Legette works out. He seems like a legit good dude and he has the best accent in the NFL. But I wasn't onboard with the pick for a reason. You just don't take older "upside" guys high in the draft. Older prospects need to be polished and upside guys need to be young. When you're older and still raw from an actual skill standpoint that's a BIG red flag. I thought he was the type of guy who probably shouldn't go earlier than the 3rd. I honestly think we probably drafted a faster version of Laviska Shenault.
  14. It effects everything. I remember when Ronald Curry was coming into UNC as the #1 football and basketball recruit in the country. Won the McD AA slam dunk contest and was so electric on the football field that he overshadowed fellow VA tidewater area star Michael Vick. He tore his Achilles before he ever suited up at UNC. I don't recall him ever dunking a ball and while he was still a good college QB he was nowhere near what he was in HS. He was a shadow of himself. Recall Jon Beason too. Went from one of the best LBs in the league to a replacement level starter. It's brutal.
  15. Very few are. That's a devastating injury. That's why I don't understand why everyone in football media is acting like Rodgers is definitely still going to be elite at 40 coming off an Achilles. That's FAR from a sure thing. I'd actually bet against it.
  16. If he starts out looking good I'll have hope. If he's still looking good by Halloween I'll start believing. If he starts out looking like he did last year, I'm out on his ass at halftime of week one. Not gonna lie. LOL
  17. Meh, it's going into the pre-season now. This is our Super Bowl. This is when there's at least some optimism in Panthersdom. Just enjoy it.
  18. Another one showed up a few days ago. We have some feral cats around but they act like legit wildcats (obviously since that's where the first kitty came from). Rarely seen and won't let you get within 50 yards of them. This kitten was not feral. Immediately came up to us, rubbing on our legs, willing to be picked up, not afraid of dogs, etc. It was super skinny so we started feeding it and it has hung around. It's already starting to fill back out. Since it hung around I busted out one of the dog crates to put it in at night with all the owls and coyotes around. I don't think the poor guy has felt safe enough to get a good sleep in weeks. I opened the door this morning and he hasn't left the crate yet. Still sleeping. Gave it flea and tick treatment yesterday and gonna run over and grab some dewormer for it here in a bit.
  19. The court should've ruled that they had to be called chicken nuggies by law, because that's what "boneless wings" are.
  20. Yep, sorry. Brianfart on my part. Yeah, an Achilles tear is a significantly worse injury than an ACL which is no walk in the park itself.
  21. They realize that Aaron Rodgers is 40, coming of an ACL tear, and the Jets were trash last year, right?
  22. A lot of that is honestly intentional. You're out of the limelight. No one is a fan of you. You can be the asshole and take that heat for your client. It's part of the job.
  23. He's an agent. His job is to do what's best for his client. And yeah, oftentimes that runs contrary to what us fans would prefer.
  24. I don't expect to be good. Here's the two things I'm hoping for most this year: 1. An answer on Bryce. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong and improve by leaps and bounds and we know we have our guy. That would be by far the best situation. The worst situation would be if he improves just enough to leave us thinking "well... maaaaaaybe". Just give me the answer. Be the guy or be the guy who gets us the guy. 2. The team improves throughout the season under Canales. He shows he can run a disciplined team and make adjustments in game and week to week.
  25. Yeah, FB Marketplace just completely replaced Craigslist
