A well thrown deep ball would've been a TD. WR had two steps on our CB but the ball was under thrown by a good five yards.

Brissette is ass.
-
Oof. Nonexistent edge contain on the stretch run.

Nice open field tackle on the punt return. I'll celebrate the wins when and where they are. LOL

Plummer goes down even easier than Bryce. But how is that not a horse collar?
-
I think he's already sunk as a starter. He's a backup/stop gap type of QB.

It seems like there would be a trade market for Mac Jones. He's not a starter but he could be a stop gap or a decent backup. Makes me wonder if he has his agent telling teams he doesn't want to be a backup. In which case, the clock on his NFL career is ticking loudly. I get it, these guys wanna play. But plenty of guys put a lot of money on the bank as career backups. Sure beats grinding it out in some middle corporate job.

If we're doing that stuff in the preseason we're really dumb. Which means it's almost certainly gonna happen. LOL

Thu night NFL preseason...during the Olympics...
LinvilleGorge replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
I used to watch the snowboarding before it just became spin to win and any actual style went out the window. -

Tepper ranked dead last in owners (wow color me suprised)
LinvilleGorge replied to Craig Cartner's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most of the worst owners in the NFL have shared a strong desire to win and a low awareness that they were getting in the way of it. -
Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"
LinvilleGorge replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
All the speculation was that Reich was not gonna be high on Young. He had always valued prototypical stature and arm strength. Maybe he just took the job as a retirement check or maybe he thought he would be able to influence the pick. But he really never seemed like his heart was in it here and he was just going through the motions and was likely relieved when Tepper fired him. -
Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"

If she was pushing for Stroud then hell, let's get Nicole more involved. Team Nicole! LOL! -
Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"
LinvilleGorge replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Including DJ in the trade package for a QB was idiotic. Yeah, let's mortgage the future on a QB and trade our only proven NFL WR in the process. Brilliant. -
Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"
LinvilleGorge replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce as this nearly universal #1 QB thing is one of the most baffling draft stories I've ever seen. Top prospects (especially QBs) are usually nitpicked to death leading up to the draft to the point of it getting absurd sometimes. Remember Cam's "fake smile"? LOL! But with Bryce you had a prospect that had just about every physical red flag you could imagine and everyone just glossed over it and came up with every reason under the sun why that wouldn't matter for this one unique prospect. It was absolutely baffling to watch play out.- 106 replies

Panthers release first depth chart of 2024
LinvilleGorge replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly. RAS is just part of the evaluation puzzle. But we've consistently acted like it's some kind of draft cheat sheet during the Tepper era. It's a cheat sheet alright. Cheat sheet to being the cellar dweller of the league. And then the one time we broke ranks from that approach, we mortgages the franchise to trade up for a QB who had to have an RAS pretty close to -
Panthers release first depth chart of 2024
LinvilleGorge replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope next year's QB class is better than expected. We gonna be picking early. Like first out of the gate early. -
I hope the Pats start Milton this year. Any QB they play is fuged. That is the least talented offense in the league by a considerable margin.

Trash throw.

Interviews are super important, especially the whiteboard work.
-
Richardson was my 1a and Stroud was my 1b, not being privvy to interviews. I could've easily been swayed to Stroud through the interview process. I just had a LOT of physical talent/durability concerns with Bryce. The dude proved physically tough last year. I still have some long term durability concerns but the physical talent short coming have taken center stage far and above any disability concerns.

Xavier Legette left practice early with lower leg injury
LinvilleGorge replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
Edited thread title for accuracy. There's no indication that Legette was carried off the field.
