Yeah, I'm fine with mixing in a guy for a few snaps if he offers something drastically different or is just too good to completely bury on the bench but you need a legit starter. It's really hard to establish offense rhythm rotating QBs. Carolina's D is playing some ball so far.
-
NCSU tied with WCU at half? OOF.
-
They're supposed to be splitting snaps tonight. Really rooting for Harrell to shine.
-
I'm hoping Harrell emerges from this game as the clear cut starter. Johnson is a JAG.
-
Omarion Hampton is a beast.
-
I was. Switched over. That was the last play I watched.
-
Oof. If Shiloh wasn't Deion's kid he might get cut for that dumbassery. Your D is WAY too bad to be that dumb.
-
Oh lord. LOLOLOL The decision to go was a good one though. You can basically cut your punter if you're Deion. You can't afford to use him. But getting whooped in the trenches by a D1-AA on back to back short yardage runs? OUCH
-
Exactly. Those teams have massive resources. They're not hiring a guy coming off of back to back losing seasons at Colorado because ESPN hypes him. They want WINS.
-
Why would any of those teams hire him? Other than maybe Vanderbilt.
-
Dude, stop. People can disagree on fuging sports without some ulterior motive.
-
Okay. LOL
-
Deion isn't a coach. He's a hype man.
-
I think Sheduer and Hunter are floating Deion's ass as a "coach".
-
Gonna lead to some great stats for Sheduer because it's gonna be the same as last year. Basketball scores on the gridiron because they can't stop poo.
-
Colorado's defense is still just pure trash. Maybe they should just play Hunter at WR because the D is hopeless.
-
Why in the world are you running a safety blitz against a team that loves to throw downfield when you're at a significant speed disadvantage st every position? That was DUMB.
-
I mean, it's WCU. They've been a bottom of the barrel D1-AA team most of my life.
-
If they aren't significantly improved this year why would any "name" program want him? Hype and attention won't last if the wins don't come.
-
It is, but those teams will still be in the bottom half.
-
Hot take incoming.... Colorado will lose to NDSU tonight. ESPN will still act like they're Pete Carroll Era USC.
-
Those teams have all fell off the map. They're all borderline P5 caliber programs now.
-
Yeah, he's putting a TON of mileage on that kid. I get it, he's a stud and you want to give him every opportunity to impact the game but I think you gotta protect him from himself and just play him at CB then give him maybe 10-12 snaps a game at WR. He isn't the CB he could be whole also trying to play WR full time too, not to mention the excessive wear and tear.
-
Imagine giving him that contract then he becomes a part owner so his role has to be significantly limited. If they were smart they would've used that to wiggle out of the deal.

Preston Smith and Bryon Jones were my 1A and 1B in that draft after DJ Humphries went right in front of us. I did NOT want Shaq. It was less about the player and more about the need. We have a bad history of using premium picks on ho hum prospects at positions where we have minimal immediate need. I don't believe in picking for need, but need has to he factored into the equation. If you have similarly rated prospects but one plays a position of dire need and the other plays a position where he would definitely be relegated to a backup role for the foreseeable future, IMO that's an easy decision to make.
