  1. I think he would for 2-3 games then he'd be Sam Darnold again. That's been the story of his career. He looks good at first but as soon as teams get film on him in a system it's a wrap. He must be the most predictable QB ever in film because once DCs get him dialed it's just over. If we give him this look, he's gonna do this. Okay, got it.
  2. He's more than the defensive player of the year, hell he's our team MVP through the first half of the season.
  3. Jimmy G is completely terrible. All the folks trying to convince themselves that Purdy is the next Brady might wanna remember that in SF the story about Jimmy G was that "all he does is win games". Honestly, I think Purdy would be trash outside of SF. Hell, the more games he plays the more he looks like trash IN SF.
  4. McD is cooked as a HC. You might survive failing spectacularly once but not twice. Now landing back in NE as Belichick's OC again? Highly likely.
  5. What exactly is Thomas Brown supposed to say if what Frank Reich has already told everyone isn't true? What if Thomas Brown actually believes he had legit input into the playbook if Reich basically paid him lip service while basically installing his playbook? Have you never been involved in a situation where you watch someone get manipulated into believing what they want to believe already by a skilled manipulator? I mean, I'm watching it right now. Actions speak louder than words. I'll always lean more heavily on actions and results vs. pre-season PR pieces. I mean, I honestly thought the Panthers were overselling how much they believed this team was ready to compete until I watched them operate this off-season. They weren't lying. They believed that poo.
  6. "fact" I mean, you can actually go look at the criticisms of Reich's offense in Indy and see the parallels, but you've already determined the "facts according to Mr. Scot".
  7. It's no wonder why you report more posts than all other posters on the board combined. You do this same "I'm brilliant and everyone else is a drooling moron" act in every thread then report the posts when people finally get sick of the act and lay into you. You're right. You're always right. That's the only reality that you can comprehend. The entire rest of the world consists entirely of morons. There ya go. Happy now?
  8. You do you, man. I'm just not gonna waste my time when I already know your response.
  9. Is there anything I or anyone else could show you that would convince you otherwise?
  10. I think the reality is that one is saying what you want to believe and you dismiss all else. They said they were ready to compete and they acted like it making bold win now moves. No lies detected. Maybe Brown did have heavy input into the playbook. Maybe that input was also heavily colored by what Reich wanted to include. We really don't know. But the way you wholesale embrace what you want to believe and heavily ridicule with heavily passive aggressive condescension everything else is a tale as old as time on the Huddle.
  11. I meant specifically how do you determine which Panthers PR drivel to believe? When they say they think they're ready to compete now and they make moves accordingly you dismiss it. When they say Brown has heavy influence in the offense and it looks just like Reich's offense in Indy you embrace it. I tend to believe what I see over what the PR team is trying to sell. Oftentimes there will be kernels of truth in the PR drivel and sometimes it's just pure PR drivel. The proof is in the pudding so they say.
  12. I think Sweat and Young being available tanked the potential market for Burns. I wouldn't trade a 1st and more for Burns if I could get Sweat for a 2nd or Young for a 3rd. Especially knowing he's wanting nearly $30M per.
  13. Look at what they did. It wasn't bull. Their actions said they absolutely believed it.
  14. Seeing what the Commanders got for Sweat and Young I just don't think moving Burns was on the table today. Would you really give up a massive haul for Burns when could get one of those guys for way less? Burns seems likely headed for a franchise tag IMO. Wouldn't be surprised if that resulted in an ugly holdout and a potential trade.
  15. I don't understand the folks upset we didn't make any moves today. A big part of our issues since Tepper bought the team has been a constant series of knee jerk win now type moves that have just dug us into a big hole. And now folks are upset we didn't make more of them? I wouldn't have minded trading some guys away today, but it was a buyer's market. The sellers were getting fleeced. Honestly, sometimes doing nothing is the best bad option you have.
  16. Bieniemy is putting way too much weight on the passing game. Their OL is terrible at pass protection and they have a solid running game when he's actually letting them run the ball. But he's treating Howell, a 2nd year pro and 1st year starter, like he's mid-career Patrick Mahomes. I'm as high on Howell as it gets but there's too much weight on him right now. The guy is tougher than a $2 steak and the hits don't impact him mentally and he'll still stand in there and make the throws while staring down the barrel but you see his accuracy drop off over the course of the game. It doesn't matter how tough you are mentally and physically, the hits eventually eventually start having an impact and he's getting hit like very few QBs have ever gotten hit and his OC isn't helping him out of the OL out. They need to be running the ball. But losing their two pass rushers is going to put them even more behind the eight ball in the scoreboard and likely lead to even more pass happiness as their D gets scorched.
  17. I do think it's telling that it was two young defensive pieces that were graded and no one from the offense was moved. I think they're shifting to a build around Howell mindset. The guy is 6th in the league in passing yardage and TDs despite their OL being a giant sack of poo and no real running game to speak of (largely because Bieniemy oftentimes forgets he can run the ball mid-game). It's pretty wild how much a former RB hates running the ball.
  18. Meh, people talk poo on the field all the time. It's nothing.
  19. Well, when the brass and telling everyone that will listen how were ready to compete and win the division then you probably end up last in the division I'm left thinking that maybe these people don't know what they're doing.
  20. TMJ just looks like a flat out bust y'all. There's a good chance we got offered literally nothing.
  21. These other teams watch the games too. Would you wanna trade a 4th or 5th for TMJ?
