Tepper was probably paying her like $27k a year.

As if we needed more reasons to hate Jimmy Clausen...
LinvilleGorge replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
His rookie year showed he wasn't long for the league. He had to get every dime he could while he could. I ain't mad. New comers buying numbers is commonplace in the NFL. Cam was there to take his job and he knew it, so pay me. -
#2 trending toward #1. Not a soul here can claim I didn't try to tell y'all. Go find me a more accurate pre-draft breakdown than this Biggest strength: - Physically, it's throwing the deep ball. He throws an accurate very catchable deep ball. Don't get triggered by these names, but in terms of the style of deep ball he throws think Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers. He has an ability to throw a ball that somehow both has a lot of air under it yet doesn't get "floaty" giving safeties a chance to make a great break on it. - Mentally, it's his competitive fire and ability to stay even keel. The guy is willing to do whatever it takes to give his team a chance and he doesn't get rattled or frustrated when the game isn't going well or the OL is getting blown up or receivers are dropping balls.

We cracked down on it because there were tons of thread bumps. Not one or two. They were becoming overwhelming.

The one possible attempt at a silver lining (?)

Yes. Chuba has been solid. Looks like a good backup/marginal starter type. Don't get me wrong, he ain't CMC but he's the least of what's wrong. -
We suck. Let's have some fun.

Sorry, I can't help it.

The only reason to make a move now would be to give an assistant a legit crack at it. He did that last year and proved the crack at it was not legit. Unless it came with a fat ass raise I'd pass on an interim gig for Tepper. Just cut me my check and I'll be on my way, thanks.

Heading to NYC for a potentially life changing meeting tomorrow. Send me all the positive vibes you've got.

Reich doesn’t think there is any chance Burns plays Thursday
LinvilleGorge replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, it would mean we suck worse than anyone else and our #1 overall QB wasn't good enough to keep us from being the worst team in the league. That would seem to bode poorly for the future. -

You don't think it would be ultra embarrassing to send a haul to Chicago for the #1 overall pick to then turn around and have part of that haul be a #1 overall pick in return? Hell, we still talk about sending the pick that would turn into #33 overall to NE Armanti Edwards. -

We're 1-7. It doesn't matter. The only thing we're playing for right now is trying to avoid the shame of sending the #1 overall pick to Chicago after trading a haul to get the #1 overall pick. -
Sounds like a bump in potential viewers.

Literally crawled into the stands and bawled in momma's arms.

I predict it'll be the primetime game with the lowest TV ratings of the season.

Oh, BTW... UNC back in the rankings at #24 this week. I don't think we deserve it but the "fug the haters" in me loves it.

Mack Brown said today that this Saturday against duke will ABSOLUTELY be Drake Maye's last home game and he'll give him the option of walking on senior night if he wants to, same as he did Howell. So yeah, anyone wondering about whether or not Maye will be in the draft this year there ya go.

Bryce defenders, please give me a reason why you're still hopeful
LinvilleGorge replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Commanders would laugh in your face for such a suggestion. -
No one has a long Leash (including Reich)

Tepper needs to fire himself from the football side of the house. I mean, based on the Rock Hill fiasco probably the business side as well. But definitely the football side. -
I can't believe they gave him that contract. He's never been anything but bad or mediocre. Moving from bad to mediocre convinced them that he'd figured it out.

That dude is done. He has the deer in the headlights syndrome.

They're looking into a space for a graveyard for the hopes and dreams of Panthers fans.
