  1. Even though it would benefit the vast majority of the union members. I don't like capping contracts though. Uncapped contracts in a hard cap league is a big part of what keeps the NFL competitive and gives bad teams hope. Teams can't just outspend their rivals to load up and paying a top tier player means you have to make sacrifices elsewhere on your roster.
  2. It's the same for every team. Every fanbase acts like this is going to help their team so much. All it really means is that all the re-signing and free agency contracts just increased accordingly.
  3. Pretty much. How can I get my article submitted with doing the absolute minimal amount of work? He's probably using AI to write this poo for him. LOL
  4. Drafting a college offensive jackknife to try him out as a pass rusher? That's UDFA type stuff. Like when we tried to turn a college DT into an OT with Nate Chandler. That's how those experiments tend to go. Well, not exactly. In well run organizations those types of experiments happen on the practice squad not starting at RT protecting a #1 overall draft pick.
  5. Lander Barton - LB, Utah Jayden Higgins - WR, Iowa State
  6. I can't believe ESPN legitimately thought it was going to be a good idea to try to move forward with this attempted puff piece. You would've thought that somewhere before publishing they would've realized that the puff piece just was not going to be the right way to roll this out and that the puff piece had become an exposé along the way.
  7. So... Jonathan Martin's camp basically invented that whole Richie Incognito bullying story because Martin was quitting football but they wanted to try to get him paid and didn't mind throwing a legit player under the bus unfairly in the process and ESPN seemingly unknowingly airs the whole thing in an attempted post-NFL puff piece for Martin. LOLOLOL https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43707519/jonathan-martin-miami-dolphins-nfl-bullying-wells-report-bullygate Hopefully Incognito can sue the fug out of some folks. In hindsight him acting bewildered by the whole situation texting Martin like "what is this stuff???" all of a sudden makes perfect sense.
  8. I'm definitely for listening to offers. Always a chance someone else values a remaining prospect a lot more than you do. Still a long time until draft day too. These big boards will change a lot post-Combine when the press will get a lot of scout access and get a better idea of how actual NFL talent evaluators view these guys.
  9. CB with a package of plays on offense. That's the best bang for the buck. It's a lot harder to contribute situationally on defense and he's a better CB than WR as is. This is all for moot. He's gone before #8 unless he gets indicted for murder between now and draft day.
  10. Carter, Graham, and Hunter for me. Other than that I'm listening to offers. Hell, I'm listening to offers anyway. I'm not doing the Gettleman thing of submitting the pick immediately. If the phones are ringing there's no cost to listening. Maybe someone has an offer so good that I can't refuse.
  11. I love the Hamlin storyline but IMO he's one of those marginal starter/good backup types. I wouldn't mind having him but I don't think he's an answer in terms of improving our starting unit.
  12. Yeah. It wasn't me but one of the other mods finally got sick of his poo and pulled the trigger.
  13. No it's not. LOL Jesus, I think we're dealing with a @CamWhoaaaCam alt.
  14. Because you're hung up on what he did on the college field vs. looking at how that translates to the NFL. He basically just out-athleted the competition as a WR at the college level. Watch him play CB and watch him play WR. You can't possibly argue that he looked anywhere near as natural and instinctive as a WR as he did at CB. I'm not talking about once the ball is in the air. He has elite ball skills. I'm talking about getting off the line, running the route, setting up the CB. He basically just lined up and was faster, quicker, and more agile than the guy covering him. There's no nuance to his game as a WR because he's not a WR.
  15. You're not reading. This isn't about his college performance. It's about his NFL prospects. The Golden Calf of Bristol was one of the greatest college players of all time. That didn't mean he was a great NFL prospect. Hunter is an elite of the elite NFL CB prospect who was a great college WR too based primarily on absurd physical talent and just natural ball skills. Could he be an elite WR if he focused on that? Honestly, probably. But in terms of him being the best WR prospect in this draft? No. His skill set is just way too raw as a WR. He just looks way more natural and instinctual playing CB.
  16. Richard Sherman got dog piled for basically saying he didn't stand out as a WR prospect but looked elite as a CB prospect. A few months ago you could find other players commenting on his limited route tree and raw route running but the search algorithms are flooded with love affair right now. The guy is the best CB prospect in years and he'll contribute on offense too. That is the absolute opposite of a knock on the guy. It's just the people buying into him being a full time two way player in the NFL like he was at Colorado who gets their panties in a wad over just stating the simple reality that he ain't gonna be a full time two way player at the NFL level with 17 games seasons and no Travis Hunter fan should want that either if you want the guy to make it to a second contract.
  17. Yeah, there's really no quality media coverage of this team but I mean, I guess it's understandable. Bad, small market team and virtually all legacy media is dying out already? I mean, not exactly a recipe for getting quality coverage. But yeah, you'd think somebody would try to follow up with the team on this issue. You have your most recent top draft pick who struggled with catching the ball as a rookie who openly talked about likely needing off-season surgery on his wrist to fix a lingering injury issue and evidently no one covering the team has thought it worth their time to try to get some clarification on the issue.
  18. Yeah he's an elite NFL athlete. His route running is raw as hell because he's a CB playing WR. He's a plug and play CB. He's an elite project as a WR. He's going to be a a CB with a package of plays as a WR.
  19. He's nowhere close to being the best WR if you listen to people who understand playing WR at the NFL level. He was basically just an elite NFL athlete feasting on playing against college competition. He wasn't winning with technique he was just being a lot better athlete than the college DBs. He's an NFL CB who will likely have a handful of plays drawn up for him to contribute situationally on offense, half of them likely just using him as a decoy.
  20. IMO, The Draft Network has the most comprehensive breakdowns. Now with that said, in hindsight a lot of them are going to prove inaccurate no matter what source you're using. There's always going to be busts and steals in the draft.
  21. Selfishly, I'd LOVE to have Omarion Hampton on this team but after paying Chuba and spending a 2nd rounder in a trade up on a RB last year I just can't justify doing the same again. Hampton won't be there at #57.
  22. True. But it's because he'd pick Ashton Jeanty and fug picking more RBs in the top 10.
  23. Ask David Tepper's opinion then do anything but that. Call Hurney and ask him while he likes on the 2nd then definitely don't draft that guy. LOL
  24. There's several good college kickers. Wouldn't mind seeing a 7th rounder spent on securing one.
