QB 2026 (For the Young Haters)
LinvilleGorge replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's tough to name a worse player. It's pretty impressive that the Panthers were able to find one in Dalton and also have him on the roster. Bryce is ass. Pure and simple. Dalton being even more ass isn't "proof" of anything other than our QB room is super mega ass. The answer for next year is to sign a decent journeyman vet in FA and keep our options open in the draft. -
QB 2026 (For the Young Haters)

There's no way any objective football fan can watch the Panthers play and not conclude that they're being held back by the QB position.- 203 replies

I wouldn't say he was trending toward bust. He was always a good run blocker he just struggled in pass protection. Our newfound run, run, run the ball pass as last resort offense suits him perfectly.

Why do people think Bryce Young won this game yesterday?
LinvilleGorge replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have one of the worst starters in the league and one of the worst backups in the league. It is what it is. Bryce also damn near threw a back breaking INT on a bad throw on a comeback to T-Mac (all we were running on that drive were come backs because Bryce can't throw down the field). After that, Canales said fug it we're done throwing and I'm just gonna hope Rico can get us into position to attempt a long FG in windy conditions because that's a better option than Bryce throwing. The big improvement I've seen from Canales' play calling as of late is that he's quick to limit the damage Bryce can do. After that ugly INT in the endzone that was it for throwing downfield yesterday. After the near pick on the throw to T-Mac that was it for passing period. -

I honestly think it's just trolling at this point. It's hard for me to imagine people are deluded into coping that hard. -
I'd prefer to just stand pat unless you're gonna try to bring in competition at QB.
-
When do we get to see the positive impact it's had on the QB?
-
Daniels is very slightly built for an NFL QB. Basically a taller version of Bryce Young with a playing style that leaves him a lot more open for hits. I'm honestly not surprised the injuries are starting to pile up.
-
The real Daniel Jones finally showed up.
-
Yeah, that'll be enough of this. Seahawks firing on all cylinders and the Commanders showed up with no gas.
-
Are the Commanders THIS bad? Good grief, they're making the Seahawks look like the greatest team of all time. LOL
-
What happened to Marshon Lattimore? Dude used to be a player. He looks like complete ASS now. Like, just find that dude and throw his way type ass.
-
Yeah, I'd be pretty shocked to see a wildcard team come from this division.
-
Y'all played like ass today. You'll be fine. Sometimes good teams need a wakeup call.
-
If we don't trade him we may end up releasing him. We can save a lot by cutting him.

Let's not go overboard. Chuba had one good year.
-
I don't think it would've really messed the team up. I mean, obvious truth is obvious. Chuba has a massive contract for a backup RB and his agent is probably telling him to shut up and be a good team player and cash those checks. Being a jackass is going to do nothing to help his situation. With his rate of usage Rico is probably gonna miss some games. Chuba will likely get another chance this year to be the feature RB.

That's weak sauce. Here, let me take a crack... Dearest mother, Many doubted our cause and honestly so did I but fortunately Sgt. Dowdle led multiple devastating bayonet charges due to lack ammunition for our guns through the air leaving us with few other options on offense. Our defensive efforts were noteworthy and the efforts were bolstered by the enemy having a cannon blow up in their faces and generally falling into disarray every time they threatened our breastworks. I have hope for our upcoming winter campaign though I know I must be more be more cautious with my decisions and allow the troops to carry me. I don't have to win the battle, I must just be mindful of not losing the war. - lil Brycey poo

Me too. Tepper is the big question mark. Ultimately if the big guy isn't ready to throw in the towel then it doesn't really matter what Dave and Dan think.
-
We're the Packers playing backups on their IOL or something today? Seemed like Evero clearly saw something from them that made him think those A gap blitzes would work and boy did they ever. We came through completely untouched multiples times.
-
The only time I even noticed him was when Icky frisbee tossed him on one of Bryce's scrambled. LOL
-
I think the coaching staff is ready to turn the page at this point, Dalton is just completely washed. Morgan wasn't the GM when Bryce was picked. The signs are indicating that we are gonna at least explore options at QB this coming off-season.
-
Chuba's contract isn't that difficult to get out from under. Honestly, I'd be trying to trade him right now and I'd make him a post-June 1st cut if I couldn't. I'd try to get Rico to sign a three year deal for top 10 RB money. Worst case scenario, the franchise tag for a RB in 2026 is only gonna be about $15M.

It felt like they gave up on him today. The game plan was obviously to prevent him from losing the game. We completely stopped throwing the ball over 10 yards after his atrocious endzone INT. When he short armed the comeback to T-Mac on the final drive that was nearly picked Canales was very content to just run the ball and hope an inexperienced kicker could make a long FG in tough conditions. The play calling today screamed "I don't trust my QB and I'm gonna hope Rico and the D can steal us a W".
-
The play calling shows me that Canales has lost faith in Bryce and that's gives me hope we might turn the page.
