  1. Step one is having QB talent to develop. Therein lies the issue. Bryce's primary issue is having a very low talent ceiling at the NFL level.
  2. Tommy DeVito has 8 TDs in five starts. Bryce has 9 in twelve. Levis has thrown for 250+ yards in two games in seven starts. Bryce hasn't accomplished this feat yet.
  3. Oh good grief, we would be soooooo fuged if it wasn't for the rookie wage scale.
  4. Did y'all see Tommy DeVito last night? Undrafted rookie free agent Tommy DeVito? Did you see how much better he looks than Bryce even though the overall offensive talent is poor, the OL is terrible, and their best offensive player had a critical late turnover? I mean.... it's all right there to see.
  5. Every rookie who has taken the field has shown more promise, even the UDFAs.
  6. I just wonder when it hit them. Did they know when they drafted him but knew that he was gonna be Tepper's pick anyway so better get onboard? Was it during rookie mini camp? Training camp? I think they knew by preseason and that's why they played him so little. They put up a good front of being confident but they hid that kid in preseason like a candy wrapper under a kid's bed. They knew they'd be in trouble as soon as the NFL got tape on this guy.
  7. People keep parroting this and the "Bryce will be fine" mantra, even professional analysts. But doubt there's many people out there who would bet real money in that. That'd be an expensive lottery ticket with roughly the same odds.
  8. I honestly can't see anyone giving up more than a mid-rounder for him. I know the Cardinals got a 2nd for Rosen after his rookie year but he didn't have an entire season of just tragic play on film and had physical talent to work with. When you come into the draft with physical talent questions then put an entire season of film on tape confirming the worst concerns of your toughest critics... I mean, your trade value has to be gutted.
  9. I don't blame him in that I think he's putting in the work. All a player can do is be coachable and put in the work. If you're doing that and failing then it's either a coaching issue or a talent evaluation issue. People here think I hate Bryce and I don't. He seems like a legit good guy. He's just not an NFL QB and that's on the Panthers for drafting him. I was willing to be patient with him early on but honestly it was pretty clear this wasn't gonna work out pretty early on. You either look like you belong or you don't. The eye test can lie where guys with the physical talent look good but ultimately don't lan out but it's a lot harder to point to the guys who simply looked overmatched who ultimately panned out.
  10. Because he was the presumed top pick The reality is that Bryce showed up at the combine with one goal. Step on that scale over 200 pounds. He'd been hitting the buffets for the last month and tanked up with water to pull it off. He hid his newly developed gut and spare tire underneath that hoodie all weekend. It is what it is. I don't blame him. Youe job as a draft prospect is to maximize your draft status. The Panthers just took the bait.
  11. We just watched a 2nd round rookie and a UDFA rookie lead their teams to game winning drives over good teams while our #1 overall pick looks like Jimmy fuging Clausen with a tan. This is awesome.
  12. We traded a haul to go up to #1 to get a guy who is probably the worst rookie QB on a roster.
  13. At least we'll have a '25 1dt rounder tok look forward too. This is literally the worst. This is the Clausen year all over again except we traded next year's 1st and a poor man's Smitty to get Clausen.
  14. Anything would be better than Bryce. He's Jimmy Clausen with a little bit of mobility. Hopelessness. With no #1 pick waiting in the wings.
  15. Watch DeVito throw the ball. Do you see the speed of his release? The velocity of the ball? The fact that his feet and hips are aligned and ready to throw the ball? That's what it's supposed to look like. This guy is flat out better than Bryce Young. It's not even close.
  16. The concern with Tua was that he might not be elite. The concern with Young is that he might not be NFL caliber. They ain't the same and Bryce sure as hell ain't better
  17. That list legit might include literally every other QB currently on an NFL roster plus Cam Newton on a couch.
  18. The list of people who would trade Tua for Bryce is literally non-existent. Tua is actually what we were sold that Bryce was. Then Jimmy Clausen with a little bit of wiggle in the hips showed up
  19. And before people start coping, the Giants are probably tied with the Commanders for the worst OL in the league. They paid Daniel Jones like a legit franchise QB and he looked like a bigger version of Bryce Young this year. This kid can legit play a little. He looks better than Bryce has at any point this year.
  20. Tua is way better. Tua is what Bryce was supposed to be. Average arm strength with elite accuracy and anticipation with plus mobility.
  21. Tommy DeVito is better than Bryce Young. By a pretty wide margin. He's a rookie UDFA
  22. The list of QBs who look better than Bryce basically include all QBs on an NFL roster at this point. Hell, Zach Wilson threw for 300+ and 2 TDs this week.
  23. You're reading way too much into it man. People are just saying they don't feel bad for a Bryce because he's young, rich, and has plenty of opportunities available off the football field.
  24. Yeah when it comes to football I feel bad for guys ruined by injury or the guys who are late round picks or UDFAs and bust their asses in training camp and badly want it and just don't have the talent.
  25. Yep.Same with guys like Matt Leinart. Bryce will be calling college games or the QB coach at Alabama or a college analyst. He'll have plenty of opportunities off the field or he can just kick back and enjoy the money.
