  1. Our OL is considerably better than theirs.
  2. Honestly kinda feels like Smitty has just become a rubber stamp mouthpiece for the organization in recent years.
  3. I watch the Commanders. If they go QB because a new staff wants a shiny new QB I immediately call and off #33 for Sam Howell and start calling anyone who'll answer the phone fielding any and all offers for Bryce.
  4. I mean... he ain't wrong. Plenty of us here have basically been saying that Tepper is either going to have to grossly overpay or settle for someone who doesn't have any other NFL HC options. I mean, the Lions' OC turned down a second interview to stay in Detroit as a coordinator vs. potentially working for Tepper as a HC and that was BEFORE he fired another coach after 11 games and mortgaged the short to medium term future of the franchise on a severely physically limited QB. This wasn't a great job a year ago. But it's the worst job in the NFL now. Tepper has to change for that to change.
  5. This. The owners must be making BANK off of these concerts and other events otherwise you'd think looking at all those millions of dollars on IR would convince them to do all they could to limit injury risks related to playing surfaces.
  6. I mean... he's the worst QB currently playing in the NFL right now. That's not bashing. It's just an acknowledgement of reality. Bryce seems like a truly decent young man but the only way he should be going to an NFL game is if he's buying a ticket.
  7. Lemme let y'all in on some top secret forum info... If you aren't interested in a thread you don't have to click on it and every reply bumps a thread to the top so if you don't reply it'll fall off the first page soon. What else is there to talk about right now? If we had a first rounder this would be draft talk central but it's not so interesting when our draft starts at #33.
  8. Yeah, he really does want to build a winner. I'll give him that. He just had to accept that he has to get out of his own way in order to have any chance of accomplishing it.
  9. As he should. He's done enough for UNC. Kinda glad. I really didn't want to go to that bowl anyway but I had committed myself to it if Drake played.
  10. This was where I was. My preference was Richardson but he and Stroud were basically my 1a and 1b. I did mental gymnastics to convince myself to be okay with Bryce but I really didn't want him. The deficiencies we've seen were there to see in his college play. But I have to admit I'm shocked by how bad he's been. Not in my wildest dreams was he gonna be THIS bad.
  11. It wasn't intended directly for you. You're far from the only one who puts the failed professionals on an unearned pedestal. But if you feel like the shoe fits you're free to wear it.
  12. Kinda cracks me up people throw shade at "internet GMs" for discussing the team on a forum. I mean, at best the Panthers' highly paid professional brain trust has managed exactly one more NFL win this year than the Huddle would've accomplished making decisions via forum poll.
  13. It doesn't matter unless Tepper is going to hire someone and let them actually do their job. Hire qualified people, step back, and give them some time and space to fix this mess you've made.
  14. I don't know if there's honestly a lot of thought beyond "fug, we're just embarrassed at this point and don't know what to do so let's just keep on keeping on and just act like we're confident in this QB that's shitting the bed every Sunday."
  15. It's a big part of why they won't sit him. They're gonna look even worse if Dalton comes in and plays considerably better. The time to play Dalton was after he looked way better than Bryce when he played in week three. At this point the season is sunk so why bother? Just keep trotting Bryce out there and repeating the mantras. Bryce will be fine. Bryce will be a good NFL QB.
  16. Honest to god of you saw Bryce and he told you he was a college football player - forget NFL or hell even D1 - you'd automatically think kicker or punter. When he said no to that you'd go, hmmm... slot receiver? No. Nickelback? No. Return specialist? No. Bruh, we're fresh out of options. I'm a quarterback he says.
  17. It's not like he was good in the first 8 weeks. We already had serious concerns. He just went from one of the worst QBs in the league to THE worst QB in the league.
  18. It really is irrelevant. The list of great college players who don't pan out in the NFL is long indeed. After draft day your college play becomes irrelevant.
  19. He's been an NFL coach since 2008 and a ST coordinator since 2011. He'll he fine. He'll land another ST coordinator gig elsewhere.
  20. Surely it came with an increase in pay. I mean, if you're stuck in this ship for the time being might as well bang as many of Tepper's dollars as you can.
  21. That's what we (or at least Tepper) thought we were getting. Bryce was gonna come in and dice the league up like a point guard with his super processing ability. We just overlooked the unfortunate reality that you have to do it with your physical talent on an NFL field, not an XBox controller like he was using on the S2 test. Tepper gonna have some kid who won a big Madden tournament in for a tryout next year. Hell, he might be our next head coach.
  22. He doesn't have the ability to bench Bryce. Truth be told I suspect strongly suggesting benching Bryce in one of his weekly meetings with Tepper likely got Reich fired.
  23. I didn't like him as a prospect and honestly I still doubt he pans out long-term but at least he has talent to work with and develop.
