  1. Pocket time is a key indicator, nothing more nothing less. Just like completion percentage is a key indicator of passing accuracy but doesn't tell the full story. No single metric ever tells a full story.
  2. They both had terrible OL play. Washington's was worse IMO, but they were also hampered by Bieniemy completely abandoning the run for huge swaths of practically every game.
  3. Shaw seems like an extremely obvious Rooney Rule check box. Out of coaching last year and his last two years at Stanford he was 3-9 in back to back years.
  4. We're not giving up on Bryce yet even though I think we've seen enough to at least not pass on someone at #33 if we really like them. I absolutely think that if we don't see a big leap from Bryce in year two you have to move on.
  5. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-qb.php Pocket time. CJ Stroud 2.5 seconds. Bryce Young... also 2.5 seconds.
  6. Mac Jones is 6'3" and I'd put his arm roughly on par with Bryce's.
  7. It's not just the size issue. It's the size plus the subpar arm plus mechanical issues. Bryce could be 6'3" and he'd still suck.
  8. Remember in the preseason when Icky looked like a speed bump and Bryce looked like a JV QB playing against the varsity squad and I said this was hugely concerning and y'all laughed and said all serious fans know preseason doesn't matter and how much better we'd look when we started game planning? I remember.
  9. I'm sure Tepper isn't ready to give up on Bryce yet. But he has to accept that we need to put the best possible situation around him next year with a legit vet backup pushing him and make a call. If he looks like trash again you just gotta move on. And you can't rage fire more coaches mid-season because Bryce looks like trash. You just have to accept that he's trash at that point.
  10. It's beyond obvious at this point that we're completely fuged until David Tepper realizes that he is our football problem. I just don't think he will. He came in with an overbearing, micromanaging reputation and that has certainly proven accurate.
  11. Sounds like Ron wants to keep coaching and would be open to being a DC. https://www.nfl.com/news/ron-rivera-still-interested-in-coaching-enjoyed-return-to-defensive-play-calling-in-2023 Before anyone suggests it, do realize that Washington was dead last in the league on both yardage and points allowed by pretty comfortable margins in both categories.
  12. Well, based on our history under Tepper, what we're doing is preparing to colossally fug up.
  13. Fitterer's 1st rounders: 2021 (#8 overall): Jaycee "IR" Horn 2022 (#6 overall): Ickey "Speed Bump" Ekwonu 2023 (#1 overall, plus #1 overall in 2024): Bryce "Super Processor" Young
  14. I don't think he has the experience yet but he's one to watch out for in the future. Coming to work for Tepper would be career suicide though.
  15. I had to Google Edgecombe County. There ain't no mountains in no Edgecombe County. LOL!
  16. No clue what that has to do with age and generation. I love my Appalachians. Lived 14 years in the Rockies and still ultimately came back home to the Appalachians. My family has been here since before this country existed. Them roots run deep.
  17. Honestly, the Triangle just doesn't exist to me beyond UNC. I'm a pure mountain guy. NC outside of the mountains can get fuged. SC has the better low country. Charlotte exited to me because of the Panthers and I wouldn't go to a Panthers game now if you gave me free tickets and beer money. Don't @ me. I ain't lying.
  18. The only one I even know of is Pittsboro and that's just so that I can go get me a Gambler and a bowl of cheese. I'm a pure WNC guy. Hickory is eastern NC in my mind. LOL!
  19. I grew up in NC. I ain't never even heard of Clayton. LOL!
  20. I honestly think Hurts was probably significantly more hampered by injury than we know. His play fell off a cliff. He's always been inconsistent but his good was REALLY fuging good. When he was on he looked MVP caliber. We just haven't seen that in months. I think something was going on injury-wise. If I'm the Eagles I'm not doing anything drastic. I'm not firing my coach. I'm focusing on getting my QB healthy and I'm revamping the defensive staff. I'm probably looking to add a third receiver and a receiving threat at RB. A ridiculous percentage of their receiving stats were put up by their two starting WRs. Their #3 WR put up 164 yards. Their RBs combined for about 350 receiving yards total.
  21. The ceiling is not the roof. The ceiling is the subfloor.
  22. Because he doesn't have NFL talent. He was a great college player. He seems like a truly decent guy. But none of that matters if you don't have NFL talent. You embarrassing yourself trying to claim that he had an "amazing impressive rookie season" isn't gonna change that. Just stop, man. I'm embarrassed for you. Bryce in three years is far more likely to be the QB coach at Alabama than he is to be an amazing NFL QB.
