  1. Probably so. I've just got "Eric" stuck in my head and can't shake it.
  2. Jake Fisher. I have no clue why I keep calling him Eric.
  3. That too. Certainly wouldn't be the first time Florio sought to stir poo up based on pure personal speculation and absolutely nothing to back it up.
  4. There are always draft day surprises, but I'd be shocked. I think Cooper, White, Parker, and Strong are all first round locks. They're just too good on the field and have the measurables to back up their production to not go in the first.
  5. If that player is a plug and play LT, yeah it is. Horrid is too strong of a word to use, but a starting caliber LT would make a world of difference to our offense. A good running mate opposite KB would as well, but a LT that didn't require help on every passing down would be the biggest difference maker on our roster right now.
  6. Cook's ego very well could play a role, but ultimately he works for Cam and he'll either have to do what Cam wants him to do or take a walk. If Cam wants to be a Panther long-term and is willing to do a huge, but not record breaking deal, then Cook will have to write it up. He'd be a damn fool not to take the commission on a huge, but not record breaking contract due to his ego. Sure, there's ego involved, but ultimately smart business men don't allow their ego to get in the way of doing good business. Cook has done too much in his field to be accused of being dumb. Like Rosenhaus, you don't have to like him and the way he goes about business, but you gotta respect what he gets done.
  7. The only way I want him is if he's by far and away the BPA on our board. If that's the case, then he'll probably be an awesome player and I'll get over it. I was a little salty when we picked Luke #9 overall with Stephon Gilmore (CB), Dontari Poe (DT), and Michael Brockers (DT) still on the board. That one worked out alright for us.
  8. I wouldn't be mad, but I'd rather have Jaelen Strong or Eric Fisher. May be a moot point though. No telling who may or may not still be on the board at #25. All three could be gone or all three could still be there.
  9. Norwell only did 22 reps and he plays very strong. I'll take functional playing strength over weigh room heroes all day everyday. The only time I worry about bench press numbers is if you're questioning a guy's playing strength based on film and then he has weak rep numbers. That combination is a red flag. If he plays strong on film, that's all I need to know.
  10. I also don't understand how anyone can call DGB the best WR coming out of college since Megatron. He isn't a WR right now. He's a WR prospect. The guy has less than 1300 receiving yards in his entire college career. Johnson had nearly 3000 receiving yards while playing in a damn triple option. DGB is one helluva WR prospect, but he isn't polished and he has a ton of question marks. I trust the organization to do their homework on the guy, but there's no way in hell I'd take him at #25. I'd have concerns if we took him in the 2nd and he probably won't be there anyway. He sure as hell won't be there in the 3rd. In other words, I don't want him.
  11. Keep in mind he wasn't the GM for the Giants so he wasn't actually making an of the picks.
  12. If there's an OT on the board at #25 that Gettleman believes is a starting caliber NFL LT, we're taking him. I think you can just about take that to the bank.
  13. This. I trust the organization to do their homework. This guy could be the second coming of Randy Moss or he could be another Josh Gordan. It all comes down to how badly he wants it. If he wants it bad enough, he'll keep his nose clean.
  14. Why do y'all let the piss and vinegar crowd ruin every good thread? Forget them. If they just want to focus on the negatives in life, let 'em do it. Don't let them drag you down or derail threads. Cam is the man and I'm damn glad he's our QB.
  15. If he's truly willing to take less than his market value to return and has put in the effort to show the organization that he is actively taking steps to prove that he will not have further off the field issues, then I'm 110% for his return. We'd be crazy not to at least seriously consider it.
  16. Mariota has plenty of physical talent, but who knows if he can run an NFL offense. He's boom or bust. Sound familiar? I hope they pick Winston. Yeah, he has the tools and should be able to run an NFL offense, but this guy is a ticking time bomb off the field. His off field issues are constant. Well, that and he was an absolute turnover machine in college last year. If he starts as a rookie for a terrible team, he may set the NFL single season turnover record.
  17. That was going to be my suggestion. Seems like the most logical, easy to implement, and easy to manage solution.
  18. What if you give Hardy a long-term, big money contract with lots of guarantees and he continues to have off-field concerns that lead to him being unavailable? Now you have considerable cap space tied up in a player that can't help you on the field. Sound familiar? You assume that not re-signing Hardy is valuing PR/image > winning and honestly, I would tend to agree. However, there's a decent argument to be made that the right decision to be made in terms of fielding a winning team is to let Hardy walk.
  19. It was straight out of Mike Shula's playbook. Nobody will see this one coming... except it's so painfully obvious to a defense that has done it's homework. I hate Russell Wilson the football player, but I can't say anything bad about the actual guy. I've never met him, but we have some mutual friends and I've never heard anything the slightest bit negative about the guy dating all the way back to when he was 15. Sorry bro, but the pass was bad. It's a pass you get away with 95% of the time because that CB jumped it perfectly, but when you stare a guy down like that and then lead him high and inside you're asking for trouble. When you're throwing that slant on the goal line, you gotta put it into the receiver's body so that he can use his body to shield off defenders. THE WR should've gone after it harder and jumped in order to make up for the high throw, but there's definitely a good bit of blame to put on RW for the outcome of that play.
  20. Yep. Russell Wilson is the luckiest athlete I can ever recall. Dude pulls off more insanely lucky plays than anyone I've ever seen. hell, the play right before the INT was sheer luck. Perfect pass breakup, WR falls, ball lands right in his lap. Seriously, dafuq is that? Seems like that type of lucky BS happens with RW all the time. Then, he throws a back breaking, Super Bowl losing INT and not one mention of the fact that the ball was poorly placed high and inside on a quick slant. If that ball is put into the WR's body like you want on that route, it's an incomplete pass at worse, likely defensive pass interference. But, once again, Wilson lucks out and all the ruckus is about the play call. Sure, the play call sucked, but if the ball was thrown properly, it WAS a relatively safe play. Still dumb as fug not to just give the ball to Lynch.
  21. 40 time probably will be in the high 4.4s, which is still flying for 6'6". It's his long speed that's elite.
