  1. I'd trade Tepper and Bryce for a moldy ham sandwich. Hell, I'd throw in a 1st rounder if I had to.
  2. Man, this Ravens D is fuging GOOD. Even the nice plays the Texans have had have required pretty much perfect throws. Good pressure and good coverage pretty much ever snap.
  3. Oof. You gotta pick that off. Big miss by the Ravens there. Hell, that may have gone for 6.
  4. Schultz has been trash in the playoffs. Drops galore.
  5. I'm just watching hoping to see good football. Don't really care who wins. Just hoping for good game.
  6. Where is your confidence in Tepper coming from? All I've seen so far is a series of blunders and they seem to be getting progressively worse. I'll change my tune when I'm given a reason to hope for better. Until then, this is a clown show. Loved Fitt? Hell, I said from the get go anyone willing to take a job as a GM without final roster say ain't a guy you actually want to be hiring to be a GM.
  7. I honestly think that David Tepper is the GM in function. The GM in title is just a paper pusher and a fall guy for when the time comes to throw someone under the bus. Tepper's GM is basically like checking the "fill roster" option on Madden franchise mode. The computer makes the moves that you don't really care about.
  8. I have no idea what the internal dynamics were but I do have a strong suspicion that whenever David Tepper thinks something that's going to end up being the move that's made so does it really matter who has the GM title?
  9. The D is solid. I was saying that two of his specific selling points aren't selling points. Now he wants to accuse me of lack of reading comprehension evidently pretending like he didn't mention those two specific selling points.
  10. Tepper should hang a plaque in his office. Carolina Panthers 32nd ranked employer in the industry! It ain't bad when there's only 31 other employers in the world better than you.
  11. When a guy who spends more time on the injury list than on the field and one of the statistically worst QBs in the NFL are part of your key selling points... well, that pretty much says it all.
  12. How crazy would it be if Morgan ended up the GM and Evero the HC? That would certainly lend a LOT of credence to the internal Hunger Games environment that has been rumored.
  13. Why do so many people conveniently ignore that Denver legitimately tried to sign Kaepernick to a 2 year/$14M deal prior to the 2016 season and he declined reportedly insulted by the offer? That contract would've made him the 23rd highest paid QB in the league at the time. Basically low level starter/high level backup money. Which, let's be honest, was basically Kaepernick's value. Once he didn't sign that deal, everyone else in the league saw that and weren't willing to offer more his career was effectively over. Blackballing just isn't an accurate depiction of the story. He wasn't willing to sign for what teams were willing to pay. That's not blackballing.
  14. The ACC just needs to die. They had an undefeated champ miss the playoffs in football then proceed to get absolutely curb stomped in a NY6 bowl and now they have two teams in the top 25 in basketball. UNC at 4 and duke at 7. No one else in sight. If you look at the "others receiving votes" you effectively have Clemson sitting at 31 and NCSU at 38. It was a good run but it's over. Over half the league would struggle to find a P5 home if the conference disbanded and that includes all three teams being added next year.
  15. I honestly don't know. But yeah it's wild to me that you could ever spend several years as a professional athlete then go back to college and compete against kids. That poo ain't right. I remember 15ish years ago there was a dude pushing 30 playing in the NCAA basketball tourney for a mid-major. Dude was built like an NFL DE and just mauling kids. Like... wait a minute... da fuq is this poo???
  16. If you've played a professional sport you should definitely be ineligible. Weinke was so old in college because he'd been trying to make it as a professional baseball player first. He played five or six years of minor league baseball.
  17. The Miami dude? Bro won a challenge to get a ninth year of NCAA eligibility. A NINTH year? WTF??? This guy should have all the degrees by now.
  18. Call it whatever you want, I doubt the folks who don't know where their next paycheck is coming from much care about the semantics.
  19. Just seems like outright good old fashioned union busting right out in the open. This will be interesting.
  20. Is it true or not? I wish we would've had an opportunity to see more of Dalton to have a bigger sample size. I don't hate Bryce. He seems like a truly decent young man. I do hate that we traded a bunch of assets to take him #1 overall but that's not on him.
  21. A year ago they were one of the very worst teams in the league and we were a run of the mill bad team. Both looking for a new coach and a new QB. They made smart moves and are now in the playoffs with a playoff win under their belts. Meanwhile, we blundered spectacularly and cemented ourselves as the worst team in the league. Oh wee mayne. Brutal.
  22. Our #1 overall pick that we traded significant assets to acquire got sacked 62 times. He was 29th in yards per game. 32nd in yards per completion. 33rd in air yards per attempt. 28th in TDs. 30th in QBR. 32nd in passer rating. Bryce was near the absolute bottom of the league in every metric for a QB. But he only missed one game due to injury (when his over the hill journeyman backup put up our best passing game of the season) and you want to spike the football over that. You're making a complete ass of yourself.
  23. You gotta be incredibly tone deaf to think this is a mic drop moment.
  24. Pocket time is a key indicator, nothing more nothing less. Just like completion percentage is a key indicator of passing accuracy but doesn't tell the full story. No single metric ever tells a full story.
  25. They both had terrible OL play. Washington's was worse IMO, but they were also hampered by Bieniemy completely abandoning the run for huge swaths of practically every game.
