  1. DJ is a top 10 NFL WR. Put him on a roster with a legit QB and he's putting up video game numbers.
  2. For someone who tries to present himself as being so intelligent and analytical, this is a stunningly dense post. It's about potential points and wins added. If we had a HOF kicker, how many additional points would we have added over Slye? How many additional wins would that have created? Now, how about the same questions if we had a HOF QB instead of Teddy? See the difference?
  3. No way do you add another mid-level vet signing to the roster on top of a 1st round draft pick. You'd probably have north of $40M in cap space dedicated to the QB position not to mention a very unhappy QB room because that mid-level FA isn't signing here if he knows this is your plan.
  4. It's more than just that. You have to do more than just work hard, you have to work the right way and get the right coaching. Both he and that staff deserve a ton of credit for the QB he has become.
  5. I'll probably start watching more of these guys' games after the SB. I've seen zero of Lance's games. Probably 4-5 of Fields' over the years. Three of Wilson's this year.
  6. Allen couldn't hit the broadside of a barn in college. His improvement this year is nothing short of stunning.
  7. All of my criticisms of Herbert were criticisms of his play within that Oregon offense. He had every physical trait you could want in a QB and for some reason that staff still didn't trust him.
  8. You can be in love and still admit there are aspects that fall short of perfection. It's not like the throws were awful. The receivers didn't have to stop. But he wasn't hitting those guys in stride and like Waldo stated, that brought the CB back into play and gave them an opportunity to potentially break it up. If you can't see the difference between that and the Howell deep balls, I don't know what to tell you. Yeah, it's nit picking but you want to nit pick on top 10 draft picks. Not throwing as good of a deep ball has Howell isn't exactly a knock. Whether it's college or NFL, there isn't a long list of better deep ball throwers than that guy.
  9. It wasn't just one throw. I'm not trying to "prove" anything. You fell in love and now you're being emotional.
  10. Watch again. He had great success throwing deep but the receiver had to slow down and wait for just about every one of them. Fields had a great game and it out him back on my potential wishlist, but don't let the results distract from the reality that the ball placement wasn't great on several of those throws.
  11. On the surface, yeah that's concerning. But honestly I'm not familiar enough with their offense to comment beyond that. For all I know, they like to counter pressure like Shula did with with extra blockers and deep routes. They did quite a bit of that against Clemson.
  12. Every QB worth drafting is cocky as poo. If you want a guy who can carry your offense, you better get you a cocky guy.
  13. Oh, he's definitely getting scouts' attention. I'm sure every team on the hunt for a QB in this draft is doing homework on Mac Jones. Scouts go a LOT deeper down the list than the media does. That's why virtually every year there are some guys drafted fairly high that have even us football nerds being like...
  14. Brady has three upcoming HC interviews. He may not be part of this evaluation process and our offense could potentially look different next year.
  15. I really, REALLY like Wilson but the one year wonder thing combined with the injury issues (that likely heavily contributed to him being a one year wonder) definitely cause me some serious pause.
  16. I still haven't watched enough of Lance to develop any firm opinion of where I'd rank him.
  17. Those deep balls definitely weren't as well placed as some. Notably my man crush Sam Howell's. That dude legit throws as good of a deep ball as any QB I've ever seen.
  18. Specifically what are your reservations with Fields? For me it's consistency. It seems like when he's fully in, he's as good or better than anyone but it also seems to me like there's too many games where he just shows up and goes through the motions. But watching him shred Venables and that Clemson D... I mean fug... I think the world of Venables. Honestly there aren't a ton of NFL DCs I'd take over him.
  19. I think we draft a QB. Teddy starts to begin the season, but hands off the reins somewhere along the way and is thanked for his service and released after next season.
