  1. If he's truly willing to take less than his market value to return and has put in the effort to show the organization that he is actively taking steps to prove that he will not have further off the field issues, then I'm 110% for his return. We'd be crazy not to at least seriously consider it.
  2. Mariota has plenty of physical talent, but who knows if he can run an NFL offense. He's boom or bust. Sound familiar? I hope they pick Winston. Yeah, he has the tools and should be able to run an NFL offense, but this guy is a ticking time bomb off the field. His off field issues are constant. Well, that and he was an absolute turnover machine in college last year. If he starts as a rookie for a terrible team, he may set the NFL single season turnover record.
  3. That was going to be my suggestion. Seems like the most logical, easy to implement, and easy to manage solution.
  4. What if you give Hardy a long-term, big money contract with lots of guarantees and he continues to have off-field concerns that lead to him being unavailable? Now you have considerable cap space tied up in a player that can't help you on the field. Sound familiar? You assume that not re-signing Hardy is valuing PR/image > winning and honestly, I would tend to agree. However, there's a decent argument to be made that the right decision to be made in terms of fielding a winning team is to let Hardy walk.
  5. It was straight out of Mike Shula's playbook. Nobody will see this one coming... except it's so painfully obvious to a defense that has done it's homework. I hate Russell Wilson the football player, but I can't say anything bad about the actual guy. I've never met him, but we have some mutual friends and I've never heard anything the slightest bit negative about the guy dating all the way back to when he was 15. Sorry bro, but the pass was bad. It's a pass you get away with 95% of the time because that CB jumped it perfectly, but when you stare a guy down like that and then lead him high and inside you're asking for trouble. When you're throwing that slant on the goal line, you gotta put it into the receiver's body so that he can use his body to shield off defenders. THE WR should've gone after it harder and jumped in order to make up for the high throw, but there's definitely a good bit of blame to put on RW for the outcome of that play.
  6. Yep. Russell Wilson is the luckiest athlete I can ever recall. Dude pulls off more insanely lucky plays than anyone I've ever seen. hell, the play right before the INT was sheer luck. Perfect pass breakup, WR falls, ball lands right in his lap. Seriously, dafuq is that? Seems like that type of lucky BS happens with RW all the time. Then, he throws a back breaking, Super Bowl losing INT and not one mention of the fact that the ball was poorly placed high and inside on a quick slant. If that ball is put into the WR's body like you want on that route, it's an incomplete pass at worse, likely defensive pass interference. But, once again, Wilson lucks out and all the ruckus is about the play call. Sure, the play call sucked, but if the ball was thrown properly, it WAS a relatively safe play. Still dumb as fug not to just give the ball to Lynch.
  7. 40 time probably will be in the high 4.4s, which is still flying for 6'6". It's his long speed that's elite.
  8. DGB isn't a speedster? THe guy ran a 10.59 100 meter dash in HS. He can fuging FLY. I think fastest WR 40 time at the combine is probably between Coates, Smith, and Tyler Lockett. Smith ran a 10.56 100. My money would probably be on Smith.
  9. I'm fine with taking late round fliers on a guy with some question marks. We did it with Hardy and it paid off well for us. But, I don't think you can afford to spend a 2nd rounder on a guy with as many question marks as DGB unless you just had a gluttony of draft picks acquired from previous trades. We don't have that luxury and we have too many needs to swing and miss.
  10. It was my 4th back to back to back to back mock and I honestly lost track of my picks and I simply forgot that I'd already taken Abdullah in that one.
  11. I want either Sammie Coates or Devin Smith in the 2nd. Give me a burner to pair with KB. Someone is probably gonna roll the dice on DGB in the late 1st or early 2nd.

  13. I don't know what he did or didn't do and I honestly don't care. My point was that we did take a guy with character concerns #1 overall after putting in the time to do our own research. DGB is the type of talent that warrants doing a little digging into.
  14. Well, we did take Cam Newton #1 overall when the media was trying to crucify the kid. I think we do our own research and then make the call.
  15. Given that one of his issues was domestic violence related, I wouldn't be surprised if he's not even on our draft board.
  16. Cam That's not to say I don't absolutely love Luke, but if you don't have a QB then you don't have a chance.
  17. Our OL definitely played much better down the stretch, but our weakness at OT was badly exposed by the Seahawks. We were forced to run a lot of max protect passing plays and good luck getting open against that secondary if you're forced to keep pass catchers (Olsen in particular) in to help the OL.
  18. Preferably, I'd like to see both OT positions upgraded, but an upgrade at LT in particular is an absolute MUST. Ideally, I'd like to see a veteran OT signed as well as a rookie drafted in the first 3 rounds.
  19. Hopefully a #2 WR and a plug and play OT. I think the WR is fairly doable, not sure about the OT. Another decent veteran CB or safety would be nice too. I really don't want to see Harper starting again next year and we really need a nickelback (or a #2 if we want to move Bene back to nickel).
  20. I know I would. Seems like the majority of lineman leg injuries come from being rolled up on from behind. Gotta think a knee brace would help protect you somewhat from that.
  21. I would bust a nut if this happened. Highly unlikely, but amazing. 4 OTs went before I was on the clock at #8. Gurley was a no-brainer in the 4th. 8: R1P8 WR AMARI COOPER ALABAMA 40: R2P8 OT CAMERON ERVING FLORIDA STATE 72: R3P8 DE TREY FLOWERS ARKANSAS 104: R4P8 RB TODD GURLEY GEORGIA 136: R5P8 CB STEVEN NELSON OREGON STATE 168: R6P8 WR JAMISON CROWDER DUKE 200: R7P8 OT TYRUS THOMPSON OKLAHOMA
