  1. I don't know what to make of him. Gase is proven trash so maybe he really does have a chance to be good. But honestly, if I'm the Jets and I can get a 1st for Darnold, I'm inclined to move him and use #2 to start over afresh with a new staff and a new QB and pickup an extra 1st in the process.
  2. My preference would be to tank with Grier. But considering we were one late season W away from a proper tanking this year I can't see Rhule doing it.
  3. The only way I'm going up to #3 is for Wilson, so if Wilson goes #2 I'm out on #3.
  4. Much ado about nothing IMO. Florio is really good at that.
  5. Probably not quite as high but I think he'd fetch more than most of the Huddle is thinking. We have people who think he's a risk to be cut. That ain't gonna happen.
  6. He's definitely not. With all the need at QB out there and his ability and age, there would absolutely be a robust trade market if Gruden wants to move on. If he does, it'll be his undoing. They aren't in a position to likely get an upgrade.
  7. He threw for 4100 yards and 27 TDs vs. 9 INTs this year. You damn straight I'll take that. We just tried to trade #8 and more for a guy who had nearly identical numbers this year and is four years older.
  8. I mentioned this awhile back. Gruden never seems happy with a QB. Carr is a good QB. If Gruden does something knee jerk and stupid which would be par for the course, he wouldn't be a bad option.
  9. A buddy of mine I played with all my childhood was basically a better version of me physically. About an inch taller, a little heavier, and a little faster, stronger and generally all around more athletic. I hung it up after my sophomore year of HS. I could see I had no future in this game. He stuck with it. Ended up walking on at a bad D1-AA school. He quit after a week. Every day after practice his head was swimming, he was having terrible headaches, and couldn't sleep. He was clearing concussion tests but he had to just accept he wasn't cut out for that level. They were just too big and too fast.
  10. His Senior Bowl performance was a perfect microcosm of his career inconsistencies. He looked like hot trash in the first half, then looked like a legit prospect in the second half. I have no idea what to make of him.
  11. Well, I mean the best QB in the Orange Bowl is probably the odds on favorite to be the #1 overall pick in next year's draft.
  12. He was traded a month after demanding a trade during which the Jags postured that they would not trade him. This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/10/06/jaguars-wont-trade-jalen-ramsey-despite-offers
  13. He was a good college player but he's just not an NFL athlete. He's like a poor man's Ben Boulware. That's not a bad thing at all at the college level, but it's really bad for the NFL level.
  14. Honestly, I still think Hurney was largely bidding against himself for Teddy last year. Teddy is who he is. He didn't disappoint last year if you'd watched him play previously. He was exactly what we should've been expecting. Fitts probably didn't need to do a lot of extra work on Teddy and if your coach is flat out telling you he's done with a guy then there's really no work to be done anyway.
  15. Like, WTF? Why would you bother to show up if you weren't going to do what the coaches asked of you?
  16. There were tons of people questioning his ability to recover from that surgery. The Dolphins were already in love. He could've shown up in a wheelchair and they were probably still drafting him.
  17. Me leaving the draft party immediately after we draft Kellen Mond in the 1st round
  18. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/alabamas-tua-tagovailoa-admits-he-may-never-be-the-same-after-hip-injury/
  19. Yep. Lots of good slot WR prospects are likely to go in the 4th and 5th this year IMO.
  20. He's definitely better but he's still not good enough.
  21. The only things Elway can see in a QB prospect based in his draft history is height and arm strength. Trask checks one of those boxes but he definitely doesn't check the other. Feleipe Franks screams Elway pick.
  22. Yeah, so does a long, long list of guys who didn't make it in the NFL. And Brady's arm was significantly better IMO. Jones' arm is probably roughly equal to Brady's current arm.
