  1. I don't know. The big knock on Strong is his route running. It needs a lot of refinement. With a knock like that, you'd think we'd REALLY want to interview him because you'd want to get a feel for how coachable he is.
  2. With all the WRs we've visited with, it baffles me that we've left out Strong.
  3. Yeah, IMO his NFL career may hinge on whether or not Chip can swing a deal to land him. Chip knows exactly what he's getting and knows Mariota can run his system the way he wants it ran. I'm not sure Mariota would translate to the NFL for any other team.
  4. I agree. I LOVE the guy. I just don't think we're interested. I haven't seen that we've visited with him in any way during the pre-draft process.
  5. Wouldn't surprise me. I think it'll be legal in a bunch of states within 5 years too. Probably not at a federal level, but I think statewide marijuana legalization will become fairly commonplace.
  6. Yeah, I agree. It sucked, but I did the best I could to make sure that it was at least understandable. I think your fix failed.
  7. This is the type of guy I want a division rival to draft in the top 10. Picking in the top 10, you're going to get a very talented prospect so I hope for them to draft a very talented prospect with as many question marks as possible. Ray has been flagged with both medical issues and now an arrest. Those are some pretty solid question marks.
  8. Rec. Drops Targets Target % Drop % 94 Ted Ginn Jr. WR CAR 36 3 68 52.9% 4.4%
  9. Brees is still a great QB. He isn't why N.O. sucks. But, last I checked this is a Panthers forum, so why are you here talking about mole face?
  10. Yep, Cam throws a very good deep ball, we just had no one to go get them last year. I think people underestimate just how big it is for us to get Ginn back. Not only for returns, but also as a WR. I'm not trying to oversell Ginn as a WR. He's never going to be a great WR, but the one thing he does well as a WR is the biggest thing our WR corps lacked last year. I do think that we're looking for a field stretcher to pair with KB. I really, really, REALLY like Jaelen Strong, but I think we're probably looking for a guy like the above mentioned Devin Smith to put opposite KB.
  11. Mark Barron was the #7 overall pick in the draft and was traded after two seasons for a 4th rounder. The Texans have had a coaching change since Swearinger was drafted. He may not fit into what O'Brien wants to do.
  12. He's not what Rivera wants in a SS. Look at the two SS prospects we've brought in for visits - Landon Collins and Jaquiski Tartt. We brought in Zeke Motta (6'2" 216) and Jonathan Cyprien (6' 217) in 2013. I think Rivera wants a big thumper at SS.
  13. Yep, trading up toward the top end of the draft is very costly and Fowler has been described by some knowledgeable people as the biggest boom/bust prospect in this draft.
  14. Thinking about quitting is thinking about quitting. You either have quit in you or you don't.
  15. Star was about to quit football too. http://www.ksl.com/?sid=21407138
  16. So, you'd be fine if we drafted the long snapper from Western Carolina at #25?
  17. I don't know. I really, really like Strong.
  18. I feel good about any WR we take simply because I have faith in Proehl. We're not taking a WR that Proehl doesn't really like.
  19. Not sure the Ravens would be willing to take a head case like Peters after just recently getting drug through the mud with the Ray Rice situation.
  20. McShay loves it too. Both he and Polian think he's perfect fit for Cam.
  21. He picked Devin Smith. Polian loves it.
