It's not easy. But it is a deeds over words situation anyway.

Labels. What number one was there on 2015? Everyone I saw was touting Diontae saying he runs great routes and gets separation. Which, lacking that was the main criticism of the home grown guys. Sticking him at the top bumps the other guys down, thereby raising the floor. I don't know about everyone else but I am giving Dalton a couple of games and then let's assess. And moving forward, I don't want to over do it but these guys running the offense were WR guys coming up and they wanted XL, so let's see how that goes.
-
He is at the stage right now where taking his game up a notch would make a visible difference, things would advance. It goes on like that for a while and then we are down to that last 5% that separates people. I guess I mean, if he is a quick learner the strides will be longer at first.

Yes and other factors too. The QB handing them the keys to the car. The waiver DBs and new guys just not being settled into place. Along with the talent shortfall. If injuries don't pile up too much it should get better.

Yeah we have ownership induced fickleness. Coaches, quarterbacks, revolving door. But the story, in the first place, is just not based on a sturdy set of assumptions. These people are not Bryce Young comps. Start there. They were more legit prospects with actual arm talent and are not at all physical outliers. They actually have the tools to thrive, if they use them properly. Bryce has like, a tool box with the little plastic hammer and plastic saw, particularly compared to Darnold Mayfield was bad on his own. Like Bryce. Plus how in the hell did the team even have time to mess him up? He was bad right out of the gate. I am telling you, this can be twisted into we helped him. I'll spare y'all the details. Mayfield sat. Like Bryce will. It helped him. I don't know that there will be another point of similarity going forward. But if anything will help Young, it would be this. Definition of insanity and all that. Stop repeating it. Darnold, was Jets failure we did somewhat rehab. It took him another year on another team to have some success why he has not yet sustained. We have to wait and see. We are the 2nd team of 4. I think. That's it. Also was good here for the same amount of time he has been in Minnesota. And if he does well we can say the same thing next week. This is just lazy stuff. They get away it because people are fuging dumb.

Probably will. But it will be a better fight.

Would quarterbacks avoid Carolina Panthers in NFL Draft?

A quality offensive line is the best deodorant. -
Don't give him a signing bonus. There is talk that this lingering calf thing is possibly a precursor to an achilles issue. The person cited a couple of other players as precedents but I wasn't really paying attention can't say which guys. Someone with achilles issues though, that started out as calf irritation, inflammation, something like that. It comes from a guy doing a Pittsburgh focused youtube thing, maybe last night. I wouldn't bet money on it but it might be something.

I'm listening to this right now.

It was the worst pro football I have seen since the old Tampa Bay Bucs with John McKay. I am not sure Bryce could make that team. Actually, now that I think about it; in those days, he would have needed an ambulance.

How did nobody catch this before drafting him?
strato replied to Knaakedup's topic in Carolina Panthers
The personal feelings thing is overblown I think. There is a lot of frustration. I don't think people want him punished or anything, just off the field with that kind of quarterbacking. He doesn't translate as he is currently configured. We have all been watching it fail. There may not be anything he can physically do to make things enough better that he gets his dream. Not everyone does. -
Assuming it's done do you select a qb this year or wait?
strato replied to Panthero's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brooks could be one of those guys if he comes back healthy and strong. Wallace needs to be thrown in sink or swim and just play. he'd learn that much faster. It'd be hard for him. -
And the whole yearly waffling QB parade was pretty ridiculous.
-
Oh God yes. Over Bryce? I hate to say it but I've seen nothing to dispute this: put him up against any signed UDFA. May the best QB win. It'll be close.

I took a two year break where I just read the scores and didn't listen or watch. Tepper just took a lot of the fun away I didn't want Rhule, it was just ...break time. So I missed whatever Darnold people complain about. What I saw in 2022 was almost there and had the tool set. Not slow. Tall, great arm, was rooting for him and thought if Wilks stayed and Darnold stayed maybe they could be pretty good. I don't have the scorn for him that a lot of people do. I suppose I'm rooting for him but you know, fug Minnesota totally. Except when they play the Saints lol.

Potential Trade Package for Bryce Young

His (Bryce's) seemingly complacent and nonchalant ass has just had a big time wakeup call. You are going to get his best. Whatever that is. -

As far as players coming here... build something someone respects and things change. It only takes a few of the right people to get you going. Tepper needs to ice that damned turf and put grass in too. You want players to want to come here? That is a point in his favor, or a point off. -

We need some emoji for "that's funny" cause it was funny. -
Okay a kindred mind here... on this one. I believe he could have known from his eyes the same way we knew (but much sharper eyes). I believe he would go through the process of affirming his feelings in his postgame routine (of two weeks). Watch the tape with your OC, whatever. Everything else he did.
-
I considered that because someone else said the same thing. If you say 'I have to look at the tape" you are legitimizing the question of whether you are considering it. It gives it cred and the poo starts working its way down the wire that Canales says he is going to have to watch the tape, Bryce Young's career hanging by a thread etc etc you know how those fugers are. . At that moment he was the starter. End of story. edit: to the benching question, he should have been sat down last year. That had to be Tepper.
-
Yeah , agree. I made note of that too. They are just worthless. Dishonest but it helps their case so it's okay. If they do it.
-
WTF was he supposed to say right after the game? We don't know that the decision was yet made at that moment. I don't think it would have been.
-
Yes. And we should all expect some growing pains. I am going to try and look at it like, "well, he will learn from this. And we are one step closer to a higher pick" haha those are my standards for this season.
