  1. It did. It also got rid of a couple that could have really helped us. And it got us Bryce Young too. Impatience is a bitch.
  2. Talk about running yourself out of a great job… where is he now? If he had behaved here he would gotten paid. That is about as close to a fact as an opinion gets.
  3. Unprovoked is a word choice that’s for sure. If he starts playing well enough then criticism might be unprovoked. I don’t know what to say to this. People call it like they see it.
  4. That is probably an area where it aligns with real life though. Pretty general assessment.
  5. So? I mean seriously who gives a fug? I mean if anything, that is an indictment of Stroud. His play has nothing to do with Bryce’s play. Nothing.
  6. The issue I have is calling 20 yards a deep ball. It’s like saying jumbo shrimp to me. I know what the stat keepers call it but that is completely influenced by FF scoring IMO. I don’t remember ever hearing 20 yards was a deep ball until pretty recently. I know people hate this argument but fug it I hate the shift to this lowered standard, and even see game casts now where it says pass complete deep for 18 yards. WTF.
  7. He does have a little clutch but so much inconsistency. And against bad teams still. I want a break from watching him yes but at the same time I know he needs to play because we are getting to the the challenging part of the schedule and the biggest tests are in front not behind. We need to see what he can really do. We very much need to see what he can do against a good defense. In non garbage time
  8. How do you not put him at least just under elite? I will answer. Because he choked the playoff game last year. Look at Minnesota without him. Look at Seattle with him. He is elevating his teams. 2 different teams two sets of coaches and teammates in two years and he is performing. If he isn’t elite he has to be in the next tier. No one has to like it. People here have their reasons (sour grapes)
  9. Win what? We could probably have a winning record this year with an actual good QB. Maybe 9-8 or something. I haven’t looked at their roster or seen them play so no opinion there but looks like they were right.
  10. One of these days maybe we will be free of this weight. Either he does something real and meaningful or he will be gone. Until then it is the inflating his good plays and ignoring the rest and we will plod along hoping for a 200 yard rushing day.
  11. Question.. the first group, is that supposed to be sequential representations of his game by game rating? Just looking at it from that angle, the tallest bar would be the Green Bay game I am guessing. The next two games we were shut out. He was pretty bad but those ratings aren’t both bad. (I mean they aren’t great but he was shut out, that should be about a zero) And some of the next group were when he didn’t play until garbage time and he got some nice ratings but seem to be counted as whole games. That is a bit misleading to my mind I hate stats sometimes man. Watching them play is so much more informative than the grades people give them.
  12. There are some visionaries here and in another three years they will be proven right. We are just too impatient
  13. He did last year but everyone was dogging him. I mean, it wasn’t enough but I could see he wasn’t really part of the problem. Or I din’t think so.
  14. I thought A’Shawn looked really good last year and was kind of alone in that amidst the sky is falling the defense sucks general mood.
  15. Maybe but I like to call them it looked like an NFL offense colored glasses. It was just different. Speaking of colored glasses, I think we have become so used to looking at Bryce play that we are numb to how un NFL it is I am honest here, the first game he played in 2023 had me in shock. I didn’t want him, at all. But I remember I had held off all summer with the arguing because it was all ‘he was great in college’ and I did t put any stock in it but there was no NFL game play to use for reference so it is all he said she said arguing as to whether it would translate to the NFL, which I didn’t think it would. His first game, I remember a couple of very strong reactions and they were no urgency, like at all, with his dropback and generally the way he operated, and the where is the deep ball? When I go back and look now it just looks normal. But for the first time and the second game too, that’s what saw and it was very striking. When Andy played against Seattle, things looked normal to me again. They looked normal against Vegas. Which to me, was like fresh air. As I said, now the offense looks normal. I think we are Brycewashed lol.
  16. He’ll always have that one, Nice. Those DBs were shocked I think, that it went over their heads Announcer “40 yard rainbow” lol that was great.
  17. Theilen came back and Bryce had him. Which he was lost for Andy after the first game, or am I wrong on that? And people are so overrating most of those Bryce games. There were a couple of good ones and a very good one. Of his basically two complete very good games. That Atlanta game in that stretch and the Dallas game this year being the complete ones. Maybe I missed one but the 2023 Green Bay game was really a very good 4th quarter and a average 1st half. Maybe I missed another but that NYG Europe game was nothing to brag about yet people did. Just sayin. I mean you can name his really nice games on one hand. Out of how many now? 33? 34? Something like that.
  18. Yeah I would still like to have the actual numbers of attempts inc complete int, that stuff in there. I am not surprised by anything on the right, except the 10-20 and the color. The difference between Bryce and League Avg in that square is greater than in others that got the color change. . If I am seeing it right he is 13.8 below avg. Where not even a 10 point shortfall got him Red in other areas. I am horrible with charts though edit: also the number differential in the right yellow section makes because sense when you look at his typical passing charts you know where he wants to go.
  19. It wasn’t hindsight for some. But we would likely still have had Fitterer and that is a big negative, so those draft decisions, well who knows? Put the same all out upgrade effort they gave Bryce, we had all the picks back and DJ still, Plus all the stuff they did. But do we pay Burns or add OL? I do t think the IOL would have had the same focus put on it. So many variables. But the QB? Lord… no one asked me back then but to hell with drafting Bryce in almost any case and I was good with Darnold. If everything else was as it is right now we would be rocking.
  20. I am not trying to say you are wrong and missed my edit window to add that in the last post. To my admittedly simple football mind, the biggest surprise type of difference to Las Vegas was Andy could throw the ball over their heads and Bryce couldn’t or wouldn’t try it. And that wasn’t hard to imagine. And yeah, the gamesmanship over the two QBs is just them taking that to the limit I think.
  21. I like the idea of signing him at first glance, I am not trying to shoot it down, but couldn’t they make a good enough offer that would fug their cap up too? They are in the same place we are, no QB for years and now may think they have one depending on how the year plays out. If it was Tepper against Irsay’s daughter (?) we know Tepper can pay his way to winning but with the cap?
  22. If your analysis is fact we won’t learn anything this week either I guess. I remember a lot of people saying Dalton was washed as he went through those games. I suppose it was really a combination of many things film included. edit: I mean, the Raiders had a bad defense too. Washington and Chicago were both better there I think, without refreshing the memory with their rankings.
  23. First reaction to that is what would he have done so out of the ordinary that film study would shut him down? He is the standard PA pocket QB. It wasn’t exotic or mysterious exactly. I don’t think his declining effectiveness was as much the film study as it was a combination of he can’t hold up to the hits and we lost AT in Vegas game I think and the rest of the WR was not that great and there some other shuffles that hurt the OL continuity. General issues that would have affected whoever was playing. It seemed to degrade by the week. Without going back and verifying anything to refresh the memory that is what I’ve got.
  24. I think we saw his ceiling vs Dallas. He played well the whole game and did what he does. He did less, but there can be degrees of more throwing but I don’t think it gets better in terms of his capabilities than that game. That is the peak. But PS, that was a bad defense. What happens against good ones?
