Nah, I am not even talking about this year. This is the home stretch for him to show what he has and I totally accept that.
-
They were able to against a bad team in a Miami. We were outclassed today across the board. All,phases, including the coaching. Sometimes you just aren’t good enough. and honestly, where we are now I don’t think we should expect them to be good enough to do that against a playoff caliber team. edit: we were due for a back down to reality game. We just imploded or some people did. We have some good players but overall too many weaknesses.

I accept that that is what he is, I don’t accept settling. I say keep looking. Keep taking shots. Absent any clear improvement from his current inconsistent performance. He has had a couple of good ones but they are not followed with more good ones.

I’ll get killed for this but he always sounded gay to me. Not necessarily not gay, but feminine. I tried to say it in a more subtle way and still got killed for it last year. fug it I don’t care it’s an honest opinion. I didn’t let that disqualify him and have been very patient and non critical. I just wondered how the big tough guys in the locker room would respond to that. But whatever, I think he thinks too much from the emotional side. The rah rah positive deal, what must it sound like if he gets mad? Where is the tough hard ass side? The no empathy, get the job done or get gone. I wonder about that. It mean I doubt there is a lot of fear of failure going on. So anyway to other comments about he sucks and all that, I said I needed a better reason to change my stance on him, which has been give him time. Continuity is super important. This thing with the running backs is eroding the goodwill.

As is the case with nearly all remakes. But there was so much room for improvement I had hopes.

You just validated my claim that there are reasonable fair minded people. You and I have disagreed on many things but it was always civil and respectful. Sadly there will be plenty of people who will validate the rest of what I said. It’s big boy pants time in year three, I think he needs to show he can overcome the obstacles and elevate the players around him to deserve to be the future.

That wouldn’t be the best look for him but I wouldn’t blame him
-
I knew I was going to see some Roadhouse something when I clicked on this but I did it anyway. What B movie, I hope the remake or series whatever it is is better. I hope that unless Bryce turns it up, he is gone with him. We’ll see.

Like last year. Just enough of a tease that they buy it. That’s why I say he needs to tear it up and definitively demonstrate his value.
-
I think it has more to do with him being a Captain and Dave not wanting to embarrass him. But whatever it is somebody has to have that come to Jesus moment.
-
We have to do something. I wanted Daniel Jones last year when he could have been had cheap.
-
I understand the sentiment. But I doubt it will happen.

That is where I saw us being this season, finally. But that may have just gone by the boards with this OL attrition. And there are fair minded people who believe he has a bigger upside that has yet to play out, but man there are some people that won’t hear anything that doesn’t align with their fanning and the excuses will fly if he doesn’t perform. We have lived that already.

Something needs to be done. This is unfair to him and the team and the fans. One thing, if he plays a reduce role and stays healthy it may help him in the market because people are not going to forget those two games and him out playing Chuba once Chuba came back. One thing that could be is Chuba isn’t 100% but didn’t want to stay out because he was afraid of losing his job. That is serious speculation though with no facts behind it.
-
Okay, lack of belief in Young isn’t hatred please dial it back. Anyhiw I think wherever will find ourselves now is in a bad spot to fairly judge him due to the OL being in tatters. Maybe they aren’t but I don’t know what we’ll be looking at next week. If he doesn’t light it up, which I felt he needs to do to justify faith in him, there are gonna be convenient excuses. Bksck cat.
-
I think you owe it to him and the franchise too to trade him somewhere that will use him. Or use him and trade Chuba for much less return. I kind of wish Morgan would pull a Billy Bean and trade Chuba so Canales has to play Rico. I know that won’t happen just saying something needs to.
-
You think that is a realistic possibility? Do we even have an OL any more?
-
I said that Canales would have to give me a reason to quit on him and I didn’t have one yet. This hard headedness around the running back pecking order is very irritating. He needs to check himself.
-
That might be Andy’s swan song. I don’t think he needs to take any more snaps Shame he had to go out embarrassing himself that way. He had a good career.

I had several posts in here and came around to pretty much the reality as the week went by. Went from optimism to Panther realist and it played out much like my worst case with the bumbling and all that. The biggest surprise to me in how this unraveled was Dalton’s mental regression. I suspected the physical but not that complete situational incompetence. That was the last thing I expected from him.
-
I have been real patient with Canales but the blind spot with Chuba is fuging trying my patience and in his post game he wouldn’t second guess himself. He better do some reflecting. I don’t care that much about not seeing Hooker even though I was fuging done with Andy.because of him mental mistakes. The sting of the loss will fade, it is one loss and should be a learning opportunity - the injuries are going to be the biggest setback. It was raining down on us.

I don’t remember if I posted it, but I wrote something. - maybe I said well you have already made a longish prediction just let it go.. But was along the lines of they are a better team in roster, experience and staff. If they play at their floor and we play at our ceiling we maybe can pull it off. If they play close to their ceiling we are beat. That wasn’t their ceiling, and we lowered our floor… and they had a lot to do with that. The mental errors by Dalton were inexcusable. And surprising. I was worried that physically he doesn’t have anything left but never was concerned about his savvy. Damn. When we came out with Chuba starting, and predictably went three and out I was highly irritated. It set the tone. And it felt like it set the tone in that moment.
