  1. You know damned well Canales had already seen. It was so fuging obvious to everyone but his (Young's) defense attorneys and lobbyists. When Canales took the gig he knew he had to prove something. Job 1. He did that by buttressing a weak player with every advantage he could provide, and letting him show who he was. Now, one small hurdle to being good is cleared.
  2. I don't have preteen children so don't have to hear that poo.
  3. Damn. I thought he was at 10. I see now that's his cap figure. I don't want to give him a raise.
  4. I'd give him a raise and he gets 10 or something now. No way I do 18 mil, maybe 12. Do a three year that is really a two year if we need it to be?
  5. You do that trade Dante for Diontae every time. We weren't getting anything from Dante otherwise. Second, I'll wait and see what ends up happening. I'm not a fan of overpaying by much.
  6. That is a question mark thing. It went along with the everything for Bryce philosophy that seemed to be guiding things. This is a no threat to him acquisition. It’s damning as far as ownership but I hope the bridge has been crossed. Time to burn it.
  7. It was late. I was thinking of the black cat, and what it keeps doing.
  8. We're in a pretty bad way. I don't know the other ILB without looking him up. And DL is pretty messed up. We're stuck.
  9. We're the Panthers. And I love your commitment.
  10. I worked with the guy in my story tonight. Other things happened too, from elsewhere. It was like I benched Bryce and Dalton is running poo.
  11. I have to say, we would have only prolonged the illusion by sitting him to learn. And that would have fuged us even more probably. If you don't have the tools you just don't have them. The one thing that he could try is seriously rehabbing his mechanics and dumping any hint of the tippy toe and the jumping and that other horrible footwork. We saw that he couldn't do it one offseason. And if he does it, he is still too short to see from a pocket and too slow to play the out of pocket game successfully, I believe. He fits nowhere.
  12. I agree have been saying the same stuff. They're coddled and not driven to get them tough and in shape. I actually think some of the soft tissue injuries could be linked to ramping it up too quickly.
  13. I thought why am I asking when should just go look. I did. He doesn't have 200 yards on the year and Williams' numbers are bad.
  14. Thanks. I think so too, Moore was Fields' go to guy I didn't know about the Williams/Moore connection.
  15. Moore will still be wanting to hurt us too. I haven't watched any Bears really, is Williams looking for him like Fields did? I think Legette can be that (40 yard runner) he has that straight line, just point him north. I learned 250 yards a half and very paltry rushing totals for Atlanta. They don't care about being balanced I guess. Or their defense is that bad. I only watched a little of it.
  16. The night where a hurricane was hitting early the next day, I sat on the porch drinking and stormwatching. A guy had given me a sack of mushrooms and told me how much to take. I wasn't really keen on the psychedelics after swearing off in my 20s. So I gave them to my friend who was with me, and he kept eating them. I kept telling him what I been told he kept telling me don't worry about it. I passed out finally just whipped and got up and we had water everywhere ( barely got the vehicles out in time) - no one knew what had happened to him, people were calling around looking for him. He had gone to our friend's house, taken his pickup (without asking, he knew where the keys were), loaded a frozen Margarita machine in the back and taken off through the storm to Wilmington, where he had booked it for a festival or something. That's one of his things... And made it and made it back. He didn't want to take his rig which is a small SUV and a 5x8 trailer because of the wind. People do weird poo on those things.
  17. These teams don't have a defense it looks like.
  18. As of today, I don't foresee Dalton wanting to leave unless they want him to. It's a good situation for him and that's been hard to find.
  19. My Canales approval had a large element of the QB whisper stuff. Having a coach with those skills in place here when scouting Young's replacement was big positive for me.
  20. To be honest, I caught so much poo for not believing in Young that I made a conscious decision to temper what I really thought with optimism. I did think it was possible he could be better in 2024 with those little college rollouts and whatever else Canales was going to design. But I didn't believe in him still, to play an NFL kind of game and was really disappointed in the prospect of watching the Alabama offense in Panthers uniforms. But, I thought I would maaayyybe see him using the pocket and learning to find the lanes where he could maybe see downfield. I am not the smartest person lol.
  21. That’s a different one, and at least does have the usual β€˜league source’. But still no direct statements.
  22. Okay. I never gave it a lot of thought but also never figured him (Chuba) to be the bell cow type, just a complimentary dude.
  23. I mean, LOT seems the likely spot to produce the leader in that category, but it seems like a lot .
  24. If they were half as bad and the offense stayed potent, things would be looking way up.
