I don’t want to see Dalton again but I stand by my characterization of him compared to Bryce. Even in his decrepit advanced state he can make more NFL throws than Young can. And normally gets the ball out. Or got it out. It’s over for him afaic but it should tell you something that a washed old ginger can make more NFL throws than our boy wonder. Nothing personal.

The only disadvantage Dalton has vs Bryce is immobility. And Bryce doesn’t have all that much mobility on him. He almost got pulled down on that 4th down scramble that he got whacked on. I think it was that one, and I don’t know how that didn’t happen. Andy went really mental last week, it wasn’t his normal operating mode. So despite his advanced age and decline, Bryce doesn’t really have much on him.

I would be in favor of running him hard and piling up a lead and then pulling him if he was good with it. I’d be in favor of getting Etienne more involved. I have to pray he shows Morgan, Canales, Tillis, Tepper, what he really is over these last 8 games, and they can see it. However that works out, good or bad. You are right about that 5-4 thing. GWD are pretty loosely defined. Yesterday was one, legit to my mind. Last possession, short on time. Something I have noticed over the years is fans of poo teams are pretty humble. The Saints fans used to be great, then they started winning.

I never watched Dart since we weren’t in the market but I saw people here saying he wasn’t going to be any good. I haven’t watched him this year either but he is starting and the NYG fans say they like him. We should always be looking. I know Rattler hasn’t lit it up but the Saints may be drafting a QB next year and he may be expendable. He’d make a good backup I think. Or find a better Rattler in the draft if you don’t like him.

Yes Bryce made those passes. I think Dowdle is a great receiver, for a RB. Those aren’t what Ike call tough throws though. Little swing passes and screens. Pretty much right in Bryce’s wheelhouse.
