  1. I have been seeing what has emerged as a theme lately. The scouting thing. I don't think anybody really knows a lot about it. So you can say what you want who can correct you? This might be the most involved thing I have seen on Bleacher Report but it is a good read. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1950498-an-insiders-guide-into-the-nfl-scouting-process saw this too https://succeedinfootball.com/2020/06/12/how-is-an-nfl-scouting-dept-built-a-look-at-five-teams/
  2. That isn't a level playing field, Bryce isn't close to being equally shitty. And he is on the wrong end of that.
  3. No need to fire Evero. Buddy Ryan couldn't fix this without an offseason or two.
  4. 'Market Bottom Reached' Panthers Set Price for Bryce Stole it from a Great Depression headline.
  5. McAdoo had been the head coach of the NY Giants.
  6. Putting Young in with those guys is giving him credit for having stuff he doesn't have. NFL tools. It is not really a good comparison.
  7. Whatever unspilled drops are left in the glass. I'll go along with that if it keeps me from having to watch him again but I am not sure that is much of a deal.
  8. No you are not. It is the biggest reason for getting him out there. Not just because of Chuba but you need to see what you have.
  9. I half thought this whole year would be trying to avoid being rationalized into a third year, by somewhat improved play. As bad, or mediocre, as I thought it would go it went worse. Off a cliff.
  10. I’d just stick with the plan if I believed in it. Which is you have a guy who knows the NFL QB game, as well as anyone you have had maybe since Dan Henning (Chargers QB). Excluding Reich who was a radar blip basically. You work with him to identify your next move. Whatever you do about Dalton there needs to be two more people added. Keep in mind whoever they get may not not be the guy he wants, just the best he can get. Whoever Canales thinks is the best option, go. What I’d do, not having the benefit of being on the inside.
  11. Yeah. It’s as if people think Tepper is coaching them. Let them follow the illogic. Sun Tzu told us this If you want to accept that Young was ruined (it’s the other way around to me), what does it have to do with other QBs who were entirely with other coaches? Is it like the Bermuda Triangle? You enter it and you suck you leave it you don’t? Pretty sure, no. As far as return, stack up even a conservative pile of what he cost, and then realize you are arguing about the difference between a 3rd, 5th or 6th, who the hell cares? You will never get anywhere close to salvaged. Make the best deal you can and have it done.
  12. It will be a mess until they fix the mess. The only way the QB room makes sense is more Bryce coddling, protecting, sheltering, nurturing however you want to characterize that. Andy was no threat by contract, Plummer I am not even sure what they could have seen. When he (Bryce) proves to be an empty vessel, you only have Dalton. I mean, I’d love to see more in Plummer than I thought there was to see, don’t know how that will work out. From what I have seen from Bryce a large number of people should be able to best him in a competition for a job. Just not sure it automatically extends to 3rd string emergency guys that haven’t been running the 1st or scout team offense.
  13. Well, there are degrees. At this point I am not sure who would be uglier between Young and Plummer. Plummer probably isn’t getting much work right now.
  14. I might simplify that to 'stuck his nose into coaching/gm business'. That was the first big one I think.
  15. There probably weren’t any area scouts making calls on Young in the first place, you know? I bet they would have made a better decision if they had been allowed.
  16. Peevy was our sack leader I think, lol. Lawson was bad. Slow slow slow.
  17. Just smarter on the common sense. I am not a scout and don’t claim to be a smart evaluator of college prospects. It is the freaking NFL and there has been no successful player at QB the size of Young in decades. Pre Super Bowl mostly (maybe Flutie who just kills Bryce on arm strength). No NFL arm, his mechanics were horrible and ugly to be honest. Tippy toes and jump throws. No speed that separates him, no quickness, no size. WTF does he even have? Honestly. None of it stands out except in the wrong way. You did not have to be smart to see this.
  18. That is pretty much exactly as I had it figured. It totally fits everything we saw.
  19. Imma start saying irritating poo about the Sanders family if this keeps up.
  20. Refuses to put a grass field in. Refused to keep the coach they wanted. Drafted a huge failure at QB and made everybody play with him. Couple of things that aren't positives. But Bruce just sucks, Tepper or no Tepper. And what was that up there about if they missed on Bryce? Hell no I don't forgive them it was as fuging obvious as anything ever has been football wise. If I am in charge I am firing whoever thinks it is a good idea, before it can happen.
  21. Okay I thought had concluded the cap acceleration would make it undoable. Go for it. Russini, she is just fixated on the little feller. Seems to use the 2023 narrative for the p[resent day situation. But she said this: Talked to someone who coached him and he can absolutely succeed in the NFL. I am guaranteeing that would be Bill O'Brien she talked with. Has to be. Who the hell else would say that?
  22. Yes he easily can. So how would that work with our cap status? This is likely just more media bullshit.
  23. Every season, same stuff. Fire everybody, get new players. Every season except this season has been a revolving door at QB. Coaches.
  24. Anybody suggesting we play him knows it is an unpopular opinion and needs to be ready for pushback. It ain't no mystery Bruce is history.
