  1. I think he ought to pay those kids damages if he teaches them any mechanics.
  2. I was looking at one of thee ‘big time throws’ video, and they managed to find about 25 plays. Maybe a few more, I lost count around 19 or 20. season stats were: 315 completions. 527 attempts.
  3. I have only just now paid any attention to this. It seems totally nuts, like everything else nowadays. Lou Groza lives.
  4. Depends. Dying, is 100% an outcome for everyone. I think. Pretty sure. That, and a Tepper team being in disarray, almost a sure thing.
  5. Respectfully, if they win 9 it will not be the schedule. They will actually have become a somewhat competitive team. If they win two, same in the other direction. They remain an owner approved train wreck.
  6. 5-6 wins is near total suck. It’s actually really hard to lose like, 15 or 16. Really hard. Losing 12 gets you to 5 wins absent a tie. 5-12 being seen as good? Not acceptable. 5-12 to me is time to upgrade the weak links. Whoever they turn out to be. That is about as fair as it gets. Regarding Young, if it doesn’t turn around... hello pine rider/clipboard holder for the duration of his contract.
  7. I agree with this, except possibly the scheme/approach will be a fusion of Canales’ principles merged with Young’s abilities... and hopefully never asking him to be an actual NFL QB dog just play within his abilities. If he is able to play to a higher standard, all power to him.
  8. I should have added ‘but if you require being shined on and bullshitted then shame on them' for stifling that. Credit to Archie Bunker for the term.
  9. Maybe they are doing something good that we don’t need to know about. I’m definitely at maybe, trying not to be cynical.
  10. The first game really is still preseason. edit: level of play wise- I know it counts in the standings.
  11. Man no kidding, and that’s what I thought about Reich too. It really confuses me when I am told that it was unanimous. I just cannot wrap my brain around guys who know how big a jump it is, being in favor of it. And how good a liar Reich was. I thought he was supposed to be a real moral guy, but at the same time I think he was lying through his teeth,.
  12. I agree with this. Not sure what it means for wins but for one thing everyone knows what Young is for sure now. They got NFL film, they are 100% informed on what they are dealing with. They did not know until camp really, what they were really dealing with. Having some continuity on defense should help, and of course they need to stay healthy. So, they will be better. There will be a more informed (by actual reality) offensive design and they have upgraded the talent maybe by enough that execution would make them competitive against at least the bottom half of the league. What in the world makes you think this could be a top half offense? My hope is they will not be 32nd. I don’t think they will be, my realistic hope is they can move the LOS so when we need a yard they’ll feel good about getting it. And that Young learns to be a drop back from under center thrower and deliver an accurate and strong deep ball. I’d settle for accurate enough for a jump ball.
  13. Saying that basically no team would not have passed him by, I guess means that reports that some teams just took Bryce off their boards were false? I don’t know this for a fact but am willing to believe that there were teams that would have passed. I know if I were in charge he wouldn’t be in Carolina.
  14. Yeah. Very good point. The rookie thing with the rookie center calling out protections, with this QB being where he is, that is probably the biggest single factor in not taking a ready to start college guy.
  15. Maybe they will get fired. I’m not that upset over it though. One mid second rounder is small stuff when we don’t even know for sure if the guy they took will suck. It’s not like they used the pick on an historically undersized running back. Which is the stuff that tends to piss me off. It doesn’t matter for the point of me being right, but I said before the draft they would pass on one in the 2nd (it’s the Panthers way). They had their plan and we just don’t know how it will play out.
  16. That was essentially a convoluted trade down for a RB, plus we got the 2nd rounder for 2025 which we were short on. Let’s at least see if he is any good this year.. The reason for the RB is Bryce Young’s evaluation. They are bending over backwards to prop him up.
  17. I thought they were equally impotent. I witnessed horrible fails on a regular basis from both of them. The center thing, that stuff never works. Of course, this is the team that mortgaged the future for weak armed and not super athletic 5'10” 184 unproven quarterback.
  18. It's not like we don’t know there is a panthers .com site. And how to access it. How about, they don’t get to post happy Bryce and Icky fluff until Tepper goes a full year without firing the coach? Or maybe put all their stuff in that 'only positive thoughts allowed' thread a while back.
  19. Better watch it, before he gets a modified nickname like rXL
