  1. I think it’s hard for people to forget him blowing the game for us under Wilks. That was pretty bad and not even playoff pressure. That tweet about Pinero being perfect today, said the pressure was off. Okay, so is he the man only when there is no pressure? I am not giving answers, just saying what questions people might have.
  2. I tend to agree with that last paragraph. Not going to be right on all 4 probably, but I get it. Everyone said, pretty sure, that this was more than a one year fix and the team put center a little down the to do list. I had ideas as to why, but don’t know. I just want this QB properly tested, trained and evaluated correctly whatever that ends up being. I doubt I’ll be for moving on if he proves himself, but the question needs to be answered this season, IMO. No slow arc, no long trek to enlightenment. This year. If he sucks again we don’t need to be drafting around him any more. Which, not taking that C, was. Among other things, Evero might have an opinion on a player and be shut down because they want to draft offense... .
  3. I like that the offense is running I wish we didn’t have through this coming year, and last year. fill in the other positive, defense something something
  4. With Reich, would he have been working with Young, or Stroud? If we go by crappy pre destined fate, Young. I'll say this about Reich as OC, we would have avoided Brown. I think he was a lot more of a dysfunctional factor than people took note of. Here is non football... I was a musician for decades. In the ‘80s I took a house band gig at a place, for the winter. (they brought in expensive regional bands in season and went with locals for the winter). They wanted to do it again the next year. I left because I hated that gig and did not want to go back (it was kind of like watching the Panthers under Tepper, a thankless chore). Can you guess? The band I joined ended up doing that gig that year. I didn’t quit until they said they were going to do it again. Now can you guess? Yep, 3rd band went into that gig. Thankfully just for that one season. Fate is absolutely a thing sometimes, and not always kind.
  5. You can’t see things so great, and I know it will happen in games sometimes, but in the completion there (in the last twitter video of 9 completing the pass to 5) were almost or right at 6 seconds before the ball was thrown. If multiple people chase him for 6 seconds someone will catch him, I think. Most times. If they are going to make that a staple, there has to be some policing of the 6 because otherwise he is hit or interfered with. Hmm, 9-5 has sort of a cachet if they actually would turn out to be a good thing.
  6. I am pretty down on about all media. Across the spectrum of issues, they all seem to only push a narrative, in service of something.... they pushed Bryce Young for whatever reason. Same with Williams I guess. Smart people don’t just listen and take it for truth, they go and look for themselves. And you can’t always see that, but sometimes you can.
  7. I love Wilks and think he was the best choice which I argued then, but I never felt at all that the decision was based on his skin. More, just failure to recognize leadership that could possibly get this ship back on course. I would agree it was based at least partially on Wilks not being a yes man. And Tepper’s obsession for offense and choosing and developing a franchise QB At All Costs, which certain costs Wilks would not go for. edit: and you have to know the QB and offense were big parts of the interview for the job, I’d love to know what WIlks had to say.
  8. Well, Young is a one to three year issue depending. And could be gone by next year or the following . Tepper is here and will still be here and is a much bigger issue. Young and Burns and all the rest are symptoms of the disease. Gotta cure the disease. I’m sure Tepper gets the best medical care so he isn’t going away. Gotta hope he is cured of his impulsiveness and false impression that he knows how to do football.
  9. They've dug their hole on Young, set in stone for at least this year, and there has to be some uncertainty about that. Which I would think influences pretty much everything offense related, in some way. I mean, is their mindset that they are building for 5’10” 184 physically limited or are they building with the normal QB standard in mind? I’d like to know that. Going by the decisions the 1st round says yes to some people and no to others.
  10. Everybody saw him, I don’t think he will make us Butker style sorry.
  11. Looks like a cost/performance discrepancy to me. People do not want to guarantee an expensive contract at this point. I think he is that vet category that needs an injury to a starter on a contender like, now, or he is looking at signing after week one and getting his money via incentives.
  12. Short version to my mind is that Tepper and Fitterer together made the decision on rejecting the 2 1sts for Burns. Morgan was probably mostly a witness. When that gets out you are in a position of weakness now you have to overpay Burns - because you falsely set his value when you basically told the NFL that 2 1sts was not enough. Because 2 1sts was no doubt way the hell up there. Morgan was in a horrible position that was created by the organization. It was further muddied by the need to provide the undersized bonus baby QB with support. They had to do something and the market was trashed. Now you are into FA, trying to fix the line, trying to add weapons fore this QB and I believe Legette was a reflection of their lack of confidence in the QB they have to build the offense around. Russel Wilson rainbow, jump ball, prayer. I’m not freaking over a singular miss at a draft slot (a single pick in a current round let’s say), that happens every draft for every team almost. I don’t mind people having negative opinions about things they have done, at all, but the Final type of judgent needs to be tempered with the realization of what Morgan is dealing with right now. That includes a super volatile employer, and much fallout from a litany of costly mistakes made repeatedly in pursuit of the franchise quarterback. poo was in shambles. Just to start with. I don’t know yet if the draft was good or bad but I think there were concessions via evaluations that were made to accommodate the current quarterback project. That QB thing needs to be resolved so they (or whoever) will have a clear direction to take player acquisition for the offensive side of the ball.
  13. Positive: My positives were not limited to commenting abut Young Negative: Let’s start with Tepper because NONE of this stuff would be what it is without him. Positive: Young was not injured in Preseason game 1 Jimmy Garoppolo is my Hall Pass fug this throttling of opinions. I appreciate when people DM feet pics
  14. It’s like watching Joe Scarborough tell people about how you know is doing. As opposed to what they see you know who doing.
  15. So, you have him making the Pro Bowl do you? Wait, do they even have a 15th alternate? The Panthers organization posts a number of propaganda pieces if that is more your speed. They are 100% Free and you can even use your Huddle bookmark to access them. It could’t be easier.
  16. Yeah, I (and others) looked at this as a very possible reality. I think it is already the stupidest thing the Panthers have done, even if the kid wins 5 games this year.
  17. When people see the real offense and the New Bryce, it’s going to shock the world! Says no one who has watched clips of camp.
  18. I mean, if you are going to use a subpar player, at least know it so you can pay the subpar price.
  19. That’s what I experienced last year watching other games. I wore the FF out watching Panthers replays.
  20. The bright side is once you can achieve zero wins, you can get incrementally worse yearly and your record won’t suffer.
