Art Stapleton (NY media) Jaycee Horn possible trade candidate

Feel that way too. Why the slow play gamble. -
Different perspective for not starting the starters in preseason...
strato replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
I do understand it and agree with the burning desire to see wtf we have with this new coach and outlier QB, I get that. But I got over it. I have no expectations for the team as far as like, winning. I am trying to look at it as if the season is one long project. The best practice they can get will be this year. That’s too bad for the guys that can already pull their weight to have to slog through a learning season but they signed up for it. -

If he has the 5th year option in place I’d prefer to gamble that he raises his value with a good season rather than do something now. If you are going to do something. Okay we know absolutely tha every guy is not Thomas Davis but Thomas missed a ton of time and when he got straight he stayed pretty healthy and was a valuable player. I can’t name names but there are surely other examples of missing time on the front end of a good career... -
REPORT: Panthers changed the offense 3 times last season
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It was last year. It is just interesting, I like to have some understanding wtf happened. I guess my main interest there is really pre all this musical chairs poo. The process that resulted in Fryce. Frank and Brycve. For myself, I’ve said Canales has the advantage of a whole season, and offseason, and is not going to be surprised, he has a chance to make his plan. His underlings are probably pulling the rope in the same direction. Not expecting any of those issues. -

Okay, really. CJ Stroud is a traditional styled QB that every one of those 2023 coaches had ‘seen’ before. You can interchange a different QB for him that does that style of play... it isn’t a CJ vs Bryce comp, it is standard NFL QB style, vs something else with Bryce. We still don’t know what that something else really looks like. To think that was not difficult or challenging for the coaches to work with, how do I say it? Maybe think about a little more. -
Crap, I have been through that as the fork holder. No way you could win.

For the record the waiver position holds through week 3 of the season. The day week four starts that stops. There is a day or a short time to conduct the process and then it is week 4. i guess they have to do MNF and then have that claiming period, then you are on to the next week. I looked it up last week or the week before.

I basically said that exact thing last year. They didn’t need film as it turns out. Maybe Canales is better. -
I’d take the first couple of weeks for stealing one due to no tape but I said that last year and was so wrong. They didn’t even need any tape.

Remaining schedule until the start of the season

Brother I watch replays and keep my Sundays We can discuss. -
I guess my idea was that would get him a shot elsewhere. Then I realized that we are the bottom of the barrel and to paraphrase some famous lyrics, to the tune of New York New York: if you can’t make it here you can’t make it anywhere. Hate it for him I liked his play.

Fans often over value their own. At the same time Horn has massive potential if he can stay healthy and we should require a fair sized ante up if they want to play. -
Pretty sure It wasn’t those two It was Colin and somebody else and I think Colin lost but don’t hold me to it.

It's on film. I didn’t see it but I don’t matter, someone important saw it. So good for him to have that.

Have the Carolina Panthers settled on their wide receivers?
strato replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
The real starts soon. The strongest survive and I am fine with that. I don’t have much attachment to these guys... I’m trying hard to find anyone really outside of Derrick, and it’s because no one can win poo. Luvu was a good one. Jewell could be too, a couple of guys here and there have more going. All the draft picks, I could attach if they thrived. Some I think will. Edit: I like Chuba too. -

I am having a hard time seeing Mingo cut so soon. -
Bolded number one: Yep most definitely and is why I was so worried about Young translating. Bolded number two: don’t forget the part time refs' part in all of it. They are the guardrails for the league. ----- I am pretty sure the league engineered Tepper in. JR was the fall guy. The stuff I posted with John Lynch saying Navarro contacted him, well he was in SF by ’17 someone pointed out. But Navarro obviously knew the team was for sale ahead of that if he was contacting Lynch, so what does that timeline look like? They want him (Tepper), so he’d have to really stop playing ball.

I agree wholly on a lot of that but you know, Stroud is not Bryce. He is more what those guys might have had in common. Bryce is a unique puzzle by comparison. So I’m not sure at all that they would have been as dysfunctional and divided. -

Speaking of, I never watched that movie. Do I have to watch it so I can understand what they mean? I would consider it a chore. -

So what was it about do you think? If you have said so just point me there I must have missed it. edit: something did occur to me while digesting this thought and I just happened to have a brand new roll of tin foil. If someone were to leak this about Bryce (if it were true), they would never get access to anything and Tepper would buy their house and tear it down and build a Bryce statue on it. -
I think the term is Vested Veteran, maybe? My first hot take is, Panthers PR is the clown show. Don’t disagree with molehills being made into mountains but it doesn’t bother me much, not as much as the sunshine fluffers.

What is the benefit to benching starters for the preseason?
strato replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I should have added, but they are coming to see him so you can’t do that. -

Sorry but I gotta raise a twisted narrative alert. I am not claiming that, never have. I am sure someone thinks what you are claiming but that person is an outlier. A small portion. My belief is that most people, by far, would not and did not make the claim you allege. They might agree with the below though. I am claiming he would have done better than Bryce did. Can’t prove it, but believe it. It is a simple and plain statement. Ooh, I should have said, I am not even about making that a thing right now because for one thing I think most people feel like it is a given. The other thing is we are about 2024. I should have just not said anything - but were I to need to make a claim, that would be it. -
I don’t think I want to hear Brown is a genius lol. You are right. He was in my list of people that did not help. But I shouldn’t and really am not making a huge thing of it because he was kind of a victim too.
