Might be time for people to come to terms with the sacrifices because it is done. No undoing it. And hoping the QB can play better is okay, but facing that reality might be a good plan for some people too. I knew, and so did many others, what we were in for. Even last season we knew what this year would be (they weren't done digging the hole). Facing it in real time is a bit difficult, no doubt.

That's the kind of football I like to see. Here it is, stop it. Have to be good enough to do that sometimes. All the time would be great. I think that big OL is the first step towards that but with no defense we won't get to use that much in the run game. edit: I am gonna go with, on Legette, his unavailability in preseason retarded his integration. I think he is going to be at least what I thought he was though, in time. Which basically is a QB's friend.

Best and worst Performances from Saints Game

I am not caught up on the current makeup of the ST extras, so maybe this is off target but I was thinking that lots of the bottom of the roster waiver moves etc involved ST guys. So a bunch of new people without much time together, which shows up on the field. -
Know Your Foe: Los Angeles Chargers

I know my foe, and it is the panthers bot. -
Almost every youtube video that has a headline or title that includes 'career over', 'fired', 'cancelled' is bullshit. In the videos no one is fired, cancelled and they still have their career. And I can't even find the headline in the story. 9 of 10 times. It's a bullshit society.

Not really buying it though. I think I’ll stick with my suspiciousness.

We don't have transcripts, true. But smoke/fire correlation is a thing, the Occam's Razor is also a thing, there has been enough to strongly suspect... And when you look at the eyeball test, who would be the easiest to fool? I believe that could apply to a money guy playing at being a football guy.

Yeah. I think the ultimate thing would be having enough belief in yourself to compete with them. Not hide and manipulate the process. I know this is modern day America where integrity is old fashioned.... but that would get the highest character grade. And the best (better) prospect grade to boot, because of enough believe in himself to put it out there. The inverse, is not enough belief, which was obviously good enough for the Panthers.

You got me thinking about how nice a year free of Tepper's, would be. I could get used to that. -
Good idea, we need to keep him healthy and digging those nice, deep 1st half holes.

I don't think much differently than I thought last week. I knew what the issues really were and the only surprise I did not really foresee as a good possibility was the bad run defense. I'm resigned to Canales coaching with his Learner's Permit this season and hopefully he will be closer to ready after he processes what he fuged up his first year. And so on... it is down to hoping Young shows without a doubt, what he is. Whatever that is. We need certainty. I mean, the risk of missing out if he is really good and we release him or something, is a much slighter risk than keeping him and betting he is going to be really good. So if he plays to form and does nothing really super encouraging in the next few weeks I don't care what they do with him as long as they replace him. Sooner the better.

Monday Brew: Dealing with loss, and moving forward

What is the stars/thread rating? Does that actually affect anything? I was wondering... if every thread that you start is rated at 1 star do they make you stop? -
Panthers waive tight end Feleipie Franks
strato replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
It maybe has something to do with the guy they claimed. Or signed last week. Also could be... any unsigned decent vet TEs because the deals are not guaranteed if they aren't on the roster week 1. Or I guess waiver claim period starts some time after MNF is over and this may be in advance of something they are planning. -
Point Guard! He was training for the NFL right there. Settles it.

Lost all interest in the NFL thanks to the Panthers

Me either. But you have a whole bunch of people that think you can ruin a QB just by throwing him in the game. It ought to be teaching him not ruining him and if he can't hack he wasn't fuging cut out for it. S2 supposed to tell you that I guess. -

I am so close to gone. I left for maybe two years. Missed it and started reading, then watching... sucked back in. Some of you old timers might remember Coco-Cola putting player images inside bottle caps. Mick Tinglehoff. Sam Huff. People like that... I watched the Heidi game, live, if people know what that was. I remember when there was no super bowl. And the NFL has lost me. Once they put Goodell in and started their pussification of the league and the international crap and the over the top commercialism, just the total greed. And then they get into politics. The Panthers were all that was keeping me in. And Tepper won't stop his crap. And I do mean CRAP. I pretty much hate that guy to be honest about it. It is really hard overlooking him. And harder dealing with his non existent QB IQ. -
Well, again I say this is week 2 and vets can be signed without guaranteeing their contract. I think that starts after MNF. And we are also in the waiver catbird seat.

He needed competition. Someone to kick him in the ass and get him in 'grind to beat the guy out' mode. I've never been on the train so his feelings and psyche do not matter to me in that regard. Matter o fact his psyche and his teammates' psyche as well would likely benefit from him clearly winning a competition. Do it now. Trade Jaycee or somebody and let's get a position battle going. -
Explosive plays huh? Bryce is like Wile E Coyote, I'll give you that. He has yet to do anything that PJ couldn't do. And PJ does a lot of things better. That's fuging sad, Bryce.

They were duly informed, plenty. But immediately placed their thumbs in their ears with the hands covering their eyes all the while chanting 'hater', to drown us out. Pretty sure Campen was going over people's heads when it kept on happening. It being Young dropping back so that they couldn't stop it.

You can't publicly criticize your QB. They won't do it. Anything of that nature is a take it with a pound of salt statement.

You cannot start Bryce Young again. He is not an NFL player.

I didn't think that, wasn't sure you had looked at it. edit: An I can't listen to a lot of them either, the excuse making blaming everything else... etc -

The reason why I go back to this young man in the post above yours, is he is pretty realistic and doesn't seem to have the agenda of defending his fanboism. -
It was Geno and Baker. He had one year as OC. Gotta let him learn and make his mistakes.
