I think at ESPN you kowtow to their agenda and they leave you alone. It really isn’t merit based as much as people that manage stuff like that want to get it to where it runs itself and they don’t have to micro worry about it. This incident might get their attention. which, you don’t want if you are Newton (or another schlub doing the daily grind, you really just want to stay off their radar). I don’t read him either, for a few years now. We lose so much, I generally have stopped listening to post game and locker room stuff so missing him is easy.

The post jumped from a proposed alternate scenario without Bryce and then somehow included Bryce. I got to the end and thought what? It was a pre coffee thing, most likely.

Many Panthers fans can’t stand him. Which is probably why the outrage is high.

I was/am a Braves fan and the people I worked for had season tickets and took me to a few games in 1995 which was the WS winning season so there was that. But the Panthers inaugural season was a pretty big thing to me and I missed out. An aside, I worked a night in the Olympic stadium that became Turner Field during the 1996 LCS Braves Cards, and loading out I walked into the freight elevator and sitting there alone was the 1995 WS trophy. I looked around, no one in sight. I had a brief moment considering my plan, but just went about my business and left it there lol. We peons don’t get touch something like that. But I fondled that bitch.

I said that way back because it is true. Teams aren’t trading what appears to be a can’t miss prospect. In an extremely rare scenario like they have an established QB and maybe got the pick in a trade. Sort of like the Bears but with a better incumbent. If they’d have had someone significantly better than Fields they might have cashed in.

I have seen Bryce make some outstanding throws but what he is up against is even when the WRs get a little separation, that tightens up while the ball is in the air. By degrees depending on the distance. Not as critical on the short stuff.

I moved to Atlanta for work, in June 1995. Almost the same for a Panthers fan. This was pre internet at least for me, and there was no coverage unless we played the Falcons. As a Panthers fan I hated that because I was super excited we had our own team finally and I was missing it. I remember going to a bar and watching us beat SF maybe in our first year. But not much chance to watch games. This prompts me to bitch that an expansion team’s first year was better than anything Tepper has been able to assemble.

That GF, I mean you don’t need to know anything else. He ain’t right, it shows bad judgement. That is granddaughter material for guys his age. He has me by 2.5 years and I know of what I speak. I promise you his mind isn’t on UNC football as much as it needs to be.

You could do almost the same moves offensively, and have the 2023 9.1, the 2.x, the 2024 1.x, the 2025 2.x, and DJ. Draft defense with those picks and you should be stout. Just think of having maybe not a SB team, but a shot at 10 -12 wins and the playoffs instead of the horrendous ball we have watched since 2023. And some realistic hope.

Damn it. I was leery about his durability going forward because he is getting older. So now what? Not Nijman, he is like our Zavala of tackles.

I didn’t remember it myself and would have to look it up. But he is supposed to be a pro. Not sure he is a graduate of any journalism school, not gonna bother looking. He should be better regardless, agree.

Have you watched mainstream media? They editorialize nowadays, they don’t impartially report anymore. I was a Journalism minor in school, the traditional role has been scuttled. They don’t teach that anymore as far as I can tell.

That is embarrassing to me, on Newton’s behalf. A true display of ignorance. Watch a game Newton, don’t just admire the tight uniforms.

I should say don’t take my post as defending Newton’s cluelessness. No fan of his and no fan of modern ESPN/Disney. Said it before but I think XL needs some advising on his media interaction. maybe the team ought to give him an interpreter lol. Speak through him like the Latinos do in baseball.

I don’t think enough people realize how deflating that is for the team. Seeing the same horror movie you saw two weeks ago and three weeks and 6 weeks ago. It wears you down fast. edit: to the defense’s credit, they are doing better at redoubling their resolve after the typical early poo show.
