  1. In that case I will be rooting hard against him.
  2. It is easier when you aren't shopping hungry. Peppers was a pretty great use of a high pick when others wanted QBs. I have not watched much college, just a few minutes. But Peppers was generational find another one you can't be but so wrong. I just don't want to pass on another CJ Stroud, it would kill the last bit of love.
  3. Lamar Jackson was the 32nd pick. We can play this top of the draft game with quarterbacks but there are enough that were taken deep, that worked out fine. If the guy there at number one is not generational someone will likely be fuging up. Let's not be that team. Again. I haven't watched any of these guys eyeing them as prospects yet but if there is generational, snatch it. I guess Manning could have that label given he was born into Archie Manning's QB factory. We probably won't go 1-16 in 2025 though, I sure hope.
  4. That stuff with the female reporter backhanded compliment was nuts. The meat or core of his remarks were intended to be a compliment. Positive. Hell no we can't take time to look any deeper than our agenda, he said it, GET HIM.
  5. By his track record I would agree. But (realistically) I don't know if there Is an owner that doesn't get input. Green Bay?
  6. I don't like the sunshine happy all that much but he has some positives, he has a thankless task this year I am afraid, and is ripe for criticism. I think I'll have an easier time staying patient because I just think he will be good. Maybe not this year.
  7. Cam talked way too much for me during the lead up. I could see it coming. I could. Some things just put the antennae up.
  8. Definitely truth. Looks like he made a pledge to stick with the next one and move on to coaches.
  9. Worse than F. Incomplete lol Okay.... Bryce Young, again. Passer rating = 32.8 32nd ranked. QBR = 12.3 32nd ranked But, let's not do stats because it was worse than the stats; the Saints went to prevent most of the second half. I understand doing the due diligence, and would like to have him playing with the team having had a few weeks to get into things because this is all new for everybody and it should improve. But I can't see the future to know if he will improve. Because I expected a little better last week it was atrocious. And his play cannot be excused by the OL or the WRs, or the pea in the mattress that kept him awake all night. If he repeats those numbers again it could quickly get to the point where you'll have to cut him off like a guy at the bar. Enough. Again, another week, I do expect him to be better, again. As a prediction but also as a requirement.
  10. See, there we go again. Many of those other guys that throw ints, do stuff to make up for it. And I don't believe a single one does that slow dropback and stands on his tippy toes to see. Another real good example of why the complaining is the bomb Carr threw to go up 7-0. He had A'Shawn's hand almost on him with the blocker driven straight back (it was impressive) but he stepped into that throw and took the hit and look at the pass he threw. And no one wanted him, they wanted the guy that won't step int his throws if there is a hit at the end of it. The issues are huge.
  11. I didn't have the sense that most people didn't want him. I caught so much poo for saying it, maybe it was the vocal minority. Doubt him in writing and wince at the replies ha ha. The tide took a long time to turn on that. Now that he is widely panned, I am still arguing out of habit. In my defense I have been arguing a year and a half. I realize that is the case and I was trying to be hopeful headed into that game. While staying 'realistic'. So what happened? Bryce threw gasoline on the fire.
  12. If he were just simply dropped in. If he had been on the team the investment in offense would not have to have been so over the top. We'd have better on defense. The loading up the offense just went over and above. Hell when I was posting the tally of offense vs defense drafting, it didn't hit me upside the head until I saw it on the field. As far as the defense, they have had very little time as a unit, pieces in and out every day almost. They will get better with reps together but with Derrrick out, that's tough.
  13. The team becomes much more fun to watch, anything else is gravy.
  14. How would you compare and contrast the two eras?
  15. It totally sucks that we have to tolerate the futility, 100%. But I mean, no one really benches a guy this soon. I am sure as I could be in a guess, that this is part of the agreement to get hired. He is to play him and train him and correct him as he takes his lumps. The reality is Young will have to stack enough bad games to get Tepper to abandon his support.
  16. I loved the guy because I was in football no man's land with no team and make no mistake, he got us this team. I sent an email to him through the team site in 2003 to congratulate him and thank him for getting us a team, just a short note to give him some love. I got a hand written letter back from him. Who does that? Yeah he made mistakes and did things we didn't agree with at times but we were so much better off with someone that played in the league and understood players.
  17. One thing you can count on, it can always get worse lol.
  18. Having biases is something that comes from life experiences. Survival instincts type of thing at times. Everybody has them. Like, I am biased against tiny QBs.
  19. It's beer number 4, I'm starting to think they are going to win.
  20. It's late so not taking it all in but commenting on something to give you some feedback.. that thing I bolded, it isn't that much to worry about. This year is a wash for everything, you know, but the QB. I think what could be important to what we are seeing on the field is, guys are being added at the 11th hour because of this waiver position perk, so there is going to be some lag. (they are new and not really worked in). That should settle down some if they can find some keepers.
  21. People probably don't understand it. Geographically? I live in SC and that high school is just some place way out west to be honest. Never felt the need to map it.
  22. yeah. LOL. They are supposed to have those two fangs on the uppers - they have never seen a cat? The eyes are good. Rabies Panther.
