In general I don’t have the same faith in what we will get from Andy that I had in the week three games of the two previous years. I was very confident as to what we would see last year vs the Raiders and was validated. The patchwork OL worries me, in pass pro, with him being old and creaky and not exactly being ‘cat like’ in his escapability. And somewhat concerned about his arm strength. I mean in general, I think he could still be ‘as good once as he ever was’ which is a huge upgrade from Bryce. But it is still another year of aging and at some point it’s over… people say it is for him, I haven’t seen enough of him this season to say otherwise. Add the fact that they are generally a more seasoned and tested team than we are, players to staff. I am skeptical. But that is why they play the games, we don’t know for sure.

If you are talking about how a huge salary would impact the team’s ability to build with quality players, due to the financial burden it imposes, I am in unqualified agreement If you mean because the pressure of justifying it affects his performance, I would not swallow that pill unquestionably. He was in NYC which is the nastiest and more pressure packed media market in the league, and just won’t face the same ‘blood in the water’ viciousness in Indianapolis (or here). I thought I knew that guy was a good gamble to be rehabbed.and wished we had open minded people making the calls here.

Well what is deep for Bryce? The game cast things say (not for just him) something like deep pass 18 yards complete. The biggest under throw that comes to mind right away I think was week one I think to T Mac left sideline where he would have had to go back through the defender to get to it. And people one guy was saying he had to make that catch. Which is why I remember it. May not have been 20 yards though.

Looking at the compliment of targets on the field in a given formation, and given the QB and M.O. of this offense (hopefully run heavy but also using the RB as a pass receiver), what would you expect a number two to do? Not the best number two for the highest flying offense, but here for this one? Honest question, looking for a baseline.

If anyone has ever broken their ribs you know how painful that must have been for the guy and how many numbing injections he must have been given. I have seen people play like that it is crazy. I mean I had that poo and would no way be throwing a football too far nor taking hits.

He had wanted to sit him I am pretty sure. One of his last attempts at forcing some sanity on Tepper. That was the game where Andy at least made it enjoyable. NFL like.

The intel though is probably the primary consideration. Just looked up the practice squad salary rules. Top pay is $22k per week. Bottom is $13k. based on accrued seasons. 2 Tiers. 3 years gets you to the high pay window. Interesting life.

He is the best we have had IMO. If that keeps up. Looks like he practices martial arts with the leveraging your opponent’s momentum.

I haven’t seen enough to know if we will get two years ago Andy. And week 3 2024 Andy was very good. It looks like some drop off may be in play. He has the experience and the eyes to compensate somewhat. (It is more OL dependent than usual considering he is not too mobile). As an aside, that Russell Wilson special late to Legette was how I expected t see him used with Bryce. Hasn’t happened.

The design was have the two big dog guards to sandwich him, which keeps him much less exposed. Oh well. I guess the challenge will be good for him going forward.

And it is delicate because Chuba is a Captain. I expect him to put the team first though, when push comes to shove.

Yeah. I have not been disappointed in the defense nor the offense except the lack of faith in the QB - and he has done some decent things. It isn’t all bad Just so limiting and that’s what I mean by as currently constructed. They have mostly beat who they were supposed to. I am not sure how to view the Bills. Except to not be expecting them to lose three in a row. I would say they shouldn’t be expected to beat them so if they do then they elevate into the other category of pulling an upset or two. The next step after winning those you should win. I am really not a greedy fan- meaningful games in late December are going to keep me engaged and basically non pissed off. I mean that is my bottom line expectation from the franchise on a yearly basis. It will change in specific seasons with maybe some higher expectations but we aren’t there right now. But I can see it from here with a tweak to the defense and better QB play. PS - how I really feel about .500 and now .570 is we were there at the end of 2022 and threw it all away to step up - and are just now getting back there. After so much waste of assets and the improvement that could have been made with them. Super frustrating.
