  1. That is definitely the essence of it. pressure is the enemy of that. It is why it is so hard. There's nuance, like, the question of can he do that is one question. The secondary question is would that even be enough? If not what's the point anyway? And the film.. why would they even need more of Bryce? if I were the opposing coach I'd say try not to hurt him. But there will be film on the protections and the routes so yeah it will get harder for sure. This poo is so sad it's funny....
  2. That's assuming they are here. WTF do I know to expect? I may not be here either.
  3. I wasn't talking about Morgan, he is gonna defer to Canales on that, 100%. And the OC, those guys should be better than what we have had picking them. All I am saying.
  4. I haven't even seen him. I guess I'd agree if we have someone to pass the ball properly. Otherwise what is the point, get a defense and a running game.
  5. I get the market has exploded. I know nobody wants to hear hopeful poo but we have two guys high up now that have that area of expertise. I will grant that rXL was intentional for Young, but looked okay. A bright spot. Maybe they can do a better job at it than the people who have been doing it.
  6. I know we will need a WR and maybe QB, we have been shorting the defense now to the point it looks like we could give up low to mid 30s on average. That's pretty bad, but let's let it get worse. I know...
  7. That harassing bar owners comment gave me an evil idea. Mock up some fake images, make them look like signs on people's businesses, post them somewhere he'll (Tepper) see them. Hilarity ensues.
  8. I heard her say we have problems at multiple OL positions (?). She needs to make herself anther sandwich.
  9. I'm not ready to listen to two of my all time favorites shine me on about Bryce Young. When in truth they would be salivating in anticipation of playing against him. Is that what this is?
  10. Yeah one of the first things I figured out is if he can fix Bryce, get someone with real NFL talent and see what he could do.
  11. Rename that S2 to the BY9 in honor of its quality as a predictor of aptitude.
  12. No doubt Canales has an advantage over Reich situationally. He has all the tape on Bryce playing against NFL defenses. Reich did not. They have all the advantage in that regard. and though I am not in the hugest hurry to make the call on him and am resigned to losing in that process, I could have passed on this whole ordeal.
  13. Yeah he has everything he needs and it is on him. If he keeps on doing the same thing why keep banging everyone’s heads against the wall? Look, last year he chirped up in the locker room in Chicago. Being a leader. The first time he said anything according to reports. Since then, 1-8 with 4 passing TDS one Rushing. 4 interceptions. He keeps that up how long should they keep him in that job?
  14. He has the stature and the tools. Foot speed is even okay. So you could see him as the hot chick that keeps you waiting an hour putting on makeup. Spends all your money on shoes, can’t cook and is a slob around the house - you get to know her and then you want out. But there is no shortage of dudes that have only fat and ugly options wanting in.
  15. At some point he should be able to play his way out of the job. I feel like the only real path he has is to backup someone for a year while he learns how to drop back and throw the ball like an NFL QB. He does not have the jets to run around and do yard ball.
  16. The moral of it boils down to don't mortgage your future on a crapshoot. One pick will not kill you.
  17. Sorry, disagree. For this reason: they starved the defense half to death the last couple of years, while seriously indulging the offense. Not saying they looked anything but sorry in most places but that offense, with that investment? I gotta ding the offense harder.
  18. You held that in a long time didn't you?
  19. Practically every guy that gets his first HC job say they had no idea of all the poo that was involved.
  20. They were so different all the way around, but they both had that. I laughed at Jake's accent, and laughed at some of Cam's malaprops. Like, the Lion on Safari. What? Cam, lions don't go on safaris.
  21. Hey, we knew what we were in for too. We are going to have to nut up and let this long process of restoration move like it is got to move. We know that the absolute first order of business is to evaluate the quarterback. That is a must in order to get past the owner's conditions on that task before you can even address that roster spot. So let's endure that poo while the rookie green ass overburdened with QB grooming on top of learning the HC job for a little bit. We tolerated in the name of Bryce all last hopeless year but we have to do it again.
  22. yes, and he is just a nice guy with some integrity, and isn't going to air anything for Bryce's sake. I doubt. That second thing you said, yeah that too.
  23. Yeah I only watched the part you highlighted. That was strange alright. Context is crucial. Is it possible he was sort of poking fun at having to go up in front of a crowd and not really being literal? It is different.
  24. I' can imagine certain things, yeah. Let's hope we got better character in the locker room.
