  1. Unless you believe that the man that hired and pays him placed conditions on it. which I would buy 10 of before so bought one of Dan, a veteran of the NFL and high level player in his day, is blind.
  2. I am just saying that there are realistic alternatives to the Dan is totally Fitterer in all his opinions and incapable of his own mind. Because we don’t know what really happened. And your job is to support your boss even if you aren’t 100% in agreement. And further you do not publicly dissent. Publicly meaning when more than just the two of you are around. ISO believe he is doing Tepper’s bidding on a lot of things and I believe it was very likely as a new hire, in 2024. If I were to speculate further I would think that Canales has a big say in the offensive evaluations and Dan might not feel like he should be flatly overruling him since he is not an offensive guy. Any differences of opinion, if Canales feels strongly about an evaluation or decision Dan would be more likely to go with Dave than to overrule. But can’t claim to know anything with any certainty. I do think Dan showed us some solid work in this draft. I also am WTF no QB competition. But I know we agree that it wouldn’t take much to show Bruce up and it seems like they were avoiding that. In the big picture of the developmental arc they may have decided on, maybe that was okay for year two. It will absolutely not be okay for next year. And Canales has brought Hookernin so that is a small move in the direction we wanted them to go.
  3. I think there is room for other interpretations of the inner working of the DM SF bromance. Yourself, being a man of character, work for your best friend. You might be close enough to speak your true opinion without repercussion. Stay with me. Dan was really good NFL MLB. How do you think a guy that played against Brady, Farvre, people like that, would view going against a 5’10” noodle arm that wasn’t a human joystick? I know I what I think about that. So he say to best bud, I don’t know about this. Looks risky. Best Bud says, your opinion is noted. What about that DT we are looking at? Dan was a defensive guy. Now I will stretch it further but I don’t need to. Fit says the Tepper’s are in love with the guy what do you want me to do? That isn’t even necessary it may be that Fit loved him too. There are multiple things that an open minded person might view as realistic scenarios. Just sayin. As far as the offensive overeating at the buffet, I really believe that was an edict from the boss: “do not let him fail. Know what I’m sayin?”.
  4. Fair enough. I am convinced with Tet and Scourton surely looks the part. A couple more pan out it will be a great draft.
  5. Good lord. Bryce is high school Brees. He never grew to be NFL Brees. Never will, and isn’t close.
  6. I have a feeling it will be bittersweet, expecting how that game goes. I haven’t watched any Cowboys football this year. So I am not making a claim specifically on them…. The defensive rankings suggest they are tough against the run and the pass D is the weakness but stats based on yardage can be very misleading. Without looking at their games and results, things like making opposing offenses one dimensional via the scoreboard affect those stats.
  7. Sure. Eggs are still on the menu. This class looks good though, overall. Granted we have a low floor for making the field so ‘grain of salt’ applies but it is higher this year. It will likely be higher next year.
  8. Yeah. I think they are working towards much improved. The ILBs though, are gonna hold it back. I am not saying Much Improved means top defense. Instead of having 7 or 8 weak links, we may be down to 3 or 4 obvious laggards.
  9. I thought with Mayfield and Darnold having that mega shootout the winner of that would win it. Rico is deserving as hell, and I know he will give the OL their due for letting him get loose.
  10. I like Baldinger. That was a wow video right there.
  11. That stuff sets me off too because it is so disingenuous and lazy. Horrible take that was pasted all over this place in 2023. Someone accused me of misinformation last week, about Bryce. I guess saying his arm and footwork were what they are. But the Bryce is Brees stuff, now THAT is misinformation. The only valid parallel I can see is they had problems with inside pressure and needed the interior beefed up. PS, you are right about the people he threw to. He made basketball guys into stars.
  12. Well it used to be a TE, or was he the leading receiver. As long as we get the production from somewhere (such as it is); this QB will use the hell out of a RB if the RB can be used. As a secondary comment, I always though that was really what the Brooks pick was about. He was supposed to be ready for camp IIRC. Not endorsing the decision, just diagnosing it btw.
  13. Yeah. Beast. Someone here disputed my assertion that he is a difference maker, last week. I get into enough arguments over that little QB so I let it go. I hope they watch the games a little closer moving forward.
  14. The investment in him has been massive when you look at the support investments along with the assets directly invested in him. Without mentioning that the rest of the team had to adapt to two head coaches in two years. As Parcels said about walking on water, his feet are wet. But I wonder what the bar is for a 250 million dollar deal. It has been a low bar to this point. It is scary.
  15. Well I haven’t looked but it could be like our WR, lots of rookie deals. I bet the hate that comes back for dissenting over there would be daunting. As far as the Ravens OL, I mean when you have to pay your QB like that what can you do? If I were a QB that wanted to win and stay healthy I’d be willing to ‘get by’ on 35 million a year to keep the OL talent level up.
  16. Numbers. I am talking about watching. This year was mop up after Bryce had poo the bed again. I am talking bout the previous two week 3 games where Dalton started. Same groceries. Players. If you just watched the offense, it told you the truth right away. I don’t think I am alone in thinking there was a clear difference to how the offense looked. All these hoops you are asking us all to jump through to make your narrative appear valid, it is a psyop. Massive house of csrds. I don’t buy it.
  17. This is ridiculous. Pretzel logic. Going the extra mile of turning every angle to reach the desired conclusion. This could be made really simple if Canales would just play Dalton again. Everyone says he is washed. If a washed QB could do something with those groceries what would that say about this whole Herculean effort to pedestal Bryce? We have seen him do it before.
  18. Until the player shuts everybody up, or is shipped out, this is life.
  19. He gave up 2 mil also. He really wanted to be home.
  20. Thielen would rather ride the pine than be here. Whatever his reasons. I view it as his wife pressured him but if he really wanted to stay he would be here.
  21. I just watched that feel good mic’d up but come on, he killed the first coach deader than Legette’s supper. The second was an interim. He is really on his second coach.
  22. Plain and simple. His favorite embellishment. It’s sad that his arm didn’t hold up we could have had that for a few more years. Same with Cam. What the hell we get someone that’s right for the team and they break down. Or get broken down
  23. I watched it too. Biggest thing he didn’t quit. Made some throws I already knew he was a good guy. These things make it hard, when you show him in that positive a light. But the actual norm of his play cannot continue. It has to be better.
  24. Well I wasn’t sold on him mostly because of the simple system thing at Auburn with the plays on his wrist and wondered about that. But then that first game came up and there was no doubt about his talent so I didn’t really care about the wrist thing any more. He was a no doubt deal.
