It would be really nice to beat Panthers North. All good guys but they are o ee us for a few years..

Yeah okay fair enough. Maybe the point is if you have a better system and players you can dumpster dive for a RB and if you don’t you have to shop top shelf. I dunno. I would put my assets into the best OL I could get and let them make UDFA like Rico look like stars. As opposed to putting CMC behind a makeshift OL. And right now I don’t even remember who was on the OL when we took him, just sayin.

I don’t think because you had some success against teams you are evenly matched with or maybe a little better than, you should get penalized for losing to better teams just because they fall at the back half of the schedule. A lot of people may think we are better than we really are. OTOH maybe we are better than I think we are. Maybe these other teams aren’t as good as we think either.

That confuses things and begs for speculation. Saints didn’t have the 1.8 for that matter so that is a lot of speculation Sproles did great for them I would assume CMC would have also. I wasn’t doing anything except saying you don’t need to take a RB that high to get production The focus of the comparison was value. Even if Kamara was eclipsed by CMC he provided great value. Which was the point.

I don’t get the CJ did bad so Bryce now looks better logic. I hated the trade up to start with. Would not have done it for either of them But once it was done CJ was the better NFL prospect to me. I would bet on him again if those were the two choices Him failing doesn’t mean anything one way or the other in relation to Bryce.

Speaking of revisiting trades: Brian Burns

Exactly. He is like the #2 WR that stacks receptions because teams can’t leave the #1 guy in single coverage. They have to dare somebody to beat them. Of course once he knew we turned down two 1sts he was going for the huge contract if he wasn’t already. I think we were right to let him go at that point. -
Have to give smug ass Robert Kraft some credit too for bailing on his favorite son Mayo after just one year and moving on Vrabel.
-
Welp,I guess we know what will happen now don’t we?
-
A pretty Panthers thing to happen. Don’t we have any WRs or RBs that used to be QBs? anyhow we might finally get some variation of the passing chart next week.
-
Me too. 12 personnel and run it down their throat until they cheat up so much you can go over them. Rinse repeat.
-
Has Bruce even been ruled out yet? Wink wink. It’s gonna be Hooker or White. Has to be one of them.
-
Canales brief track record is with fizzled veterans. Doesn’t mean he can’t mold but he has been a refurbisher.
-
Well we are gonna need an eagles type song then. prowl panthers prowl Growl panthers growl Lay in the grass, pounce and stomp dat ass help

Watching a pro outplay him certainly showed him the light last year. For a while - just to saying for the 10th time, Andy stood in and stepped up into a hit and made the play. I had never seen Bryce do that but he saw it and emulated. Just didn’t stick with it.
-
They do. if Andy isn’t totally washed and if the OL can pass block. We have the running game, and with Andy we have the play action and ability to stretch the field. I have been missing that so much. These are kind of big ifs.

A win postpones the slide back to below .500, if I were to place a bet on the near future. I am sorry but what I would love to see in coming weeks is a flash in the pan QB come from somewhere. Entertainment value will be high if there is some Bryce competition. Doesn’t look likely, just sayin.

The year we invested in CMC Saints got Kamara in tne 3rd and he outproduced CMC at least the first couple of years. I wanted to go after him that year.
-
With the exception of Sanders we have been pretty good about cycling them through.

You are going to have to miss out on a Peppers level talent or other notable monsters over the years, that are so clearly separated from the pack. But I generally agree. For just about all positions. I want Luke light at the end of the first.Someone at that position that is a solid 1st round talent. Don’t care about how people Moneyball that position I think it is a very important position edit: also, I vaguely remember tanking not being a possibility. That!s what I miss.
-
And Foreman was pretty replaceable so no need to spend a lot Re upping him But we are looking pretty good there right now. We miss right now, a big back Does Tolbert have any sons?
-
I wouldn’t have picked CMC at 8 was it? 6? I am one of the No RB that high crowd. Was then too, still am. Was actually against Stew also at 8 I think because I wanted LOT. Then Hurney moves back up… I was unhappy about that too.
-
What was crazy to me is that it was after CMC was trade that the team won some games. I wasn’t expecting that. Though I will say I was kind of at odds with them making him almost the whole offense. It didn’t help the other people develop much. But for my money all day and every day the play was Darnold, the 9th pick and the highest 2nd we gave away and DJ and all the rest of the picks we gave up plus the aggressive FA spending, rather than that drunken Vegas weekend where it all went south. We still would have had Fitterer though and that would have been a problem.
