  1. It might hint that they had decided on Bryce early on and are not trying to tailor the offense to him. Alternately, it was stated that Bryce was getting input about what his best plays from Alabama were, the rollouts, that sort of thing. None of it can be revealed if the QB checks down nearly every passing play. It might be Bama it might be Dan Henning play action + deep shot, how could people tell from what the fug it was supposed to be from he was doing?
  2. I watched some more of the 1st half last night to check something and he stared that int down the whole way, and has been doing that.
  3. Maybe just ask yourself if you are certain that he had made the decision at that time. I thought about it, that is the simplest answer. He had not made the decision at hat time. He would have had to have made the decision and told the player before talking about it in the media. Before that, there is tape watching and the normal stuff the staff does after a game. I saw people speculating the players had input, that Canales and Morgan and cap guy forget his name, did a pow wow to get on the same page and they did. And, it is courtesy to run things by your boss and you need his thoughts. I am not stressing about that. We do not have anything that says it is Tepper giving directives, that would be a different scenario yeah but even then, result is the same. You can't keep him on the field to just to rinse and repeat. And about the coach speak of saying we have to look at the tape... that's a little different; if you go with you are playing into the idea that you are considering making a change. If you haven't made the decision final, you don't want the player dealing with that. You don't want to have to deal with the player over it. Less is more until you have more. ----- That's what I came away with: recap with the nutshell version: He hadn't decided, won't open any doors into it for that reason, and even saying you have to look at the tape, may be a message you don't want to send at that time. Common courtesy to keep the boss informed...
  4. Dalton is better but I like PJ just fine too. It would be fun to have Bryce get a look at what PJ can do. Might mess him up worse though when he realizes he couldn’t beat him out.
  5. Search for Bryce footwork you will find plenty. short version is watch any film of Bryce Young from last year. Just a few drop backs should do it. Next find the Buffalo preseason game. Watch the drive Bryce was in for. Look at that footwork. Completely different and looks like other QBs. Something like 12 plays there a few passes you can see it. THEN FIND THE New Orleans game and go through his drop backs in the first quarter. Observe. Right at the very end of the 1st quarter you will see Bryce from 2023 taking back over. Easy to see you will have everything you need.
  6. Wait. His play is on film. You saw it right? Was it hard to evaluate? What could Andy Dalton do to make it look better or worse? Anyone looking to trade and looks at that film they will know. I just hope they are rich and dumb and think they could do better.
  7. Let’s at least wait til Dalton plays one game and lives. See who emerges this year that maybe isn’t a consideration right now.
  8. And there is no way he could legitimately defend his play. Just no way. A good teammate would come right out and back Andy and say all the right stuff like usual. Whether they mean it or not. So where is he? Is he at practice?
  9. So what? I saw a tweet saying big nba scorer tuned in to the Panthers. Is there more?
  10. I meant to specify the article as the Bleacher Report. If the offense looks like I think it will most of them will quiet down.
  11. I am not in the habit of defending Young but hold up. I read that trash article. There are some very foolish statements made by some of these tweeters, and many of the rest are just not made with the truth uppermost in mind. There are big agendas there. Same defense as usual when these meatheads spring into outrage mode, is there a single first hand quote from Bryce? Because if not, it may be misinformed bullshit just like many tweets and most of that article
  12. Lol. Little Ray of sunshine that I am, it is my duty to point out that he got mad once before Bears game last year he went off, reports said. Actually raised his voice and cursed too Since then, starting week 11 with Dallas: 4 passing TDS, 4 Ints, 1 rushing TD 10 games See, Canales was right about that negative motivation lolololol. But I’m glad he got mad. He needs to channel it. The shock therapy begins. Me, they used to mess with me to get me pissed off because they knew I played better that way.
  13. Multiple teams could be 0-3? I don't know the tiebreakers.
  14. If he can last 4 years that will be impressive. Because he can no way last playing like he does, so it will mean he fixed something.
  15. My hope is he gives the team a high enough floor to start building some cohesion and running a lot more plays so they can get the benefit of some good game reps. We didn’t run many plays the other day. You can’t find your groove with your QB keeps driving the bus into a ditch.
  16. they aren’t arguing so much here but out in general there are a ton of people still freshly shocked and using the same excuses they used last year. Different coach’s name. Talking heads saying oh he has no protection and the…. We it’s the same basically. There are still strays that are lurking here and pop in to take a shot. I wasn’t trying to say CJ takes us to a winning record last year. There were limits.
  17. That kind of aligns with my general thoughts. It is hopeful.
  18. It would have made the whole easier for us but without that investment who even stays with him that long given his production and decisions? I mean, it doesn't really matter how much they invested when you play like he has played after an entire preseason and camp of work. You can't accept that. All he had to do was at least sling it down the field a few times and hit even one and I bet he got more time. He's got time to think it now maybe it will help him.
  19. And I should say looking up the Singletary post game is worth it.
  20. I mean, the very first thing I think is have you ever heard of 'the dreaded vote of confidence'? And coach speak. People are grasping at that to say that Bryce was misled, or to justify being pissed that Tepper was involved. But, Canales saying Bryce is the QB immediately after the game, that proves nothing (either way), it is just standard procedure postgame verbage. I guess there must be a clip somewhere of a coach benching a player in the post game media minute but there can't many, it isn't SOP for people. Unless it was Mike Singletary who didn't wait that long, or Wilks lol sending Robbie the showers. I don't mind a bit about people being pissed at Tepper for what we know. I just don't think we know that.
  21. Gotcha. I was looking for a good meme for that one, no luck.
  22. For me, it is between Canales and Tepper, about Bryce. I would freaking love to know even some of what was said.
