At this point in time, who feels like we lost this trade?
strato replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have some posts in here, but had to re register after this thread, not sure when. Each post by stratocatter is me. I had different devices and somehow couldn't get a password reset. It is pretty easy to figure out. stratocatter to strato. I doubt I could tell you the better pick or who wouldn't make it in the NFL between two really similar NFL prototype prospects, because it is not easy. I didn't know Stroud would be THAT good that quick. Bryce, that was easy. College vs NFL is a real thing. He is not NFL. That's enough to judge him on, you can stop there and save yourself some time because nothing else matters if you don't have that athleticism. -
Pats legend Cam Newton speaks on the Panthers benching Bryce Young
strato replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lord lord lord. He couldn’t run the offense they built after asking him what plays he liked from Alabama. The speed is too much for him. He thinks he can run away from people but defensive linemen catch him from behind. We will never know but I’d bet you if you stick him back on Alabama he looks the same as he did when he won player of the year. IOW he would have plenty of confidence if you put back down playing against guys who 70% of them won’t be drafted And are just college guys If I am pissed at Tepper it isn’t for ruining a guy who was not good enough in the first place. It is for taking him. It is for that desperate trade. It is for the different QB per year which now, he still has his streak intact, which is kind of noteworthy. Counting the remnants of Cam in 2019 this is year 6. How about that. -

Nah. He would have to include Bryce in being part of the problem or I can’t take him seriously, best Panthers QB ever or not. With this kind of talk, he is a guy with an axe to grind who is incapable of looking at things impartially. -
I won’t say I loved it, for the reason that much of it seemed tailored to Bryce. But I understood it. I certainly had no issue with drafting looking ahead vs immediate gratification. Lack of patience has really been a problem. Also I just never was able to believe that Bryce was going to end up being worth all that plus they were trashing the defense to get it done.

Yeah that is all I meant. With the added it will suck hard again. He is coming back in if that happens. He is being paid a king’s ransom to play quarterback for the Panthers. I guess people will blame Dalton getting hurt on Tepper somehow. And anybody that has read my posts will know I am no fan of Tepper.

This is ridiculous from the stand point the it is commonly done all the time. Tell me you never heard any other coach or owner or GM say this about a player or a manager and the next or a few days later they fire them. Release them. Also, you seem to believe that Canales personally told Bryce after the game that he was still the starter. 1st I would doubt that. Second what evidence? And not to your post but the general thing with Tepper. Is it possible they all agree? I can see Tepper making the call and Canales going Thank You. Not the first time I said this but it fits: there is plenty of Bad Tepper to hold against him, a mountain, that it is unnecessary to just create reasons to be pissed off at him.

I have banged hard on the idea that there is no way a guy who played QB for years and stayed in as a coach, would sign off on an outlier with those mechanics. I just will not believe it.

GOAT? Completely overlooking Neil Diamond. I am definitely kidding about Neil. So unless you go to both nights, you only get half the hits. Good plan by them.

I am going to snip out what I wanted to respond to in your post" You are saying that the same coaches are supposed to produce as good or better defense, and that the team did not give Young the help he needs. This is after an offseason where the defense has been plundered and made an into an afterthought, in the name of helping Bryce Young/the offense. What am I missing?

Panthers need to move on from Young ASAP

38 seconds in tells me he is full of poo and is spinning for clicks. You know how they say in court, where if they lie once you can assume they are lying always? To me Riddick is doing a pretty spiteful thing I think, by putting those words in someone's mouth. Unless he knows that is true. Which I doubt. An honest person would not have said that to Tepper, so he basically assaulting Canales. It is not Canales' fault that Young will not adhere to the the coaching he was obviously given. And of course I am referring to that Buffalo series and the very noticeable footwork change. Evidence that he had the opportunity to be a better player but reverted to his wonky ass 'techniques'. Because it is fuging hard not to. But that is still on Young for not getting that done. And unless he gets it done he is just a fraud. A wannabe NFL quarterback, playing at it. I mean NFL quarterbacks are kicking his ass, even the rookies. If he works to change this steadily he may be able to get it ingrained in a couple more months. That is as optimistic as I can be for him. Riddick though, I don't don't listen to sports talk any more except what youtube clips I like but I used to think pretty highly of him. This is pretty sad, to see this scapegoating. I can put words into Canales mouth too: "Mr Tepper, I have a pretty good feel for working with these guys, and have had some luck with it. You know Baker pretty well. That's my work with him. But I have to be honest, I'm not sure i can promise I can fix Bryce. He has many challenges. There are things we can do to help but so much of it is up to him. If he is willing to listen and work, I am sure we can make him a better QB. How good will be up to him." blah blah blah blah -
I spoke that into existence I guess I was just going down a few youtube shorts and there it was... https://youtube.com/shorts/-02dj5wEvcc?si=Du4T-2D2R5iXWOhZ fuger won't embed.

He could sneak between the legs of the OL, and grab ahold of someone's jersey until the big kids could get there to help.

A great TE is a ace in the hole. KC, two years running team had people handled fairly well except they couldn't deal with Kelce. We're screwed.

Pats legend Cam Newton speaks on the Panthers benching Bryce Young
strato replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Physically he might be about half. Arm talent, he might be about half. Did anyone ever have to make excuses for Cam on a football field? Maybe in the Super Bowl over that fumble is about all I can think of. Bryce gets there I'll be happy to make excuses for him. -

Could be that or it could be he was getting worse, clearly. I figured an away game meant one more chance but apparently the players have had enough. I think that was the biggest thing. I think, if he has his head on his shoulders, he will know it is him and not everything else, and he’ll show some humility and get to work. I’d bet he will see the field if nothing else in a showcase scenario, unless he flunks off the scout team too. Or forces his way out. Which I don’t think he can really do right now. -
Is this the real reason for Bryce's struggles?

Reading her list of dates… she sounds like a huge mistake. -
If I bet, I would probably look at that one.
