  1. If they cut Sanders, and are paying Brooks 2nd round rookie contract money then where is the huge expense? They are giving Brooks 2 million per basically. Wasn't Chuba getting 3-4 million? It probably is a wash without Sanders' money on the tab. spotrac overthecap they are all updated I had a hard time getting the older numbers
  2. Bro, watch just the last game. He was pretty good, and a factor. Bigger picture, the biggest reasons we are losing games is no defense, and the QB position is broken. Looking forward, it also is a maxim, unwritten rule, whatever... a young QB's best friend is a great OL and running game (and a defense too lol 'nother subject). So if we get another young QB those things are in place.
  3. They are paying WRs 27 million and stuff now so I don't worry much about 15 million guaranteed to Chuba, that's a couple of years between 8-9 million at worst probably.
  4. One of the reasons people devalue the position is you can find RBs fairly easily. With a good OL it gets easier too. I want a banger bruiser type in the mix too lol.
  5. If it all goes like they want, you have Chuba finishing the contract and Brooks finishing his the same year. The obvious move then or maybe in '26 would be to repeat this scenario with a top college RB drafted and Brooks taking the Hubbard role when/if Hubbard is put to pasture. I think they are trying to longer term plan the roster/contracts out.
  6. I think if Brooks had come in and shined the team would have had a little leverage, but they didn't. It is an overpay. I am only mildly critical though, on whole it is probably a positive. Congratulations to Chuba.
  7. We got guys back that helped. That stuff with both ILB going down the same week and no Clowney either, was rough
  8. It's like he did, at first. Then when poo got real it was time to get real with Bryce.
  9. They have scored 8 fewer points than we have but given up something like 91 fewer points. I haven't looked deeper than the standings so maybe they really are worse.
  10. My first response was 'both can true' - then I remembered that practice is where Bryce usually looks best.
  11. Again, there someone goes with the 'ifs' only being favorable. Nothing about 'if' they'd have taken advantage of his mistakes there were turnovers there. 'If' is fine, but cherry picking them should not fly.
  12. They think they have a way to use him, and he is on a rookie deal for 2.5 seasons. Doesn't kill them to FAFO. Johnson can help you more, short term, so it is worth risking his attitude going south if you might be playing for something that matters in January. Or want to get there. Both of them probably are in places that are good fits.
  13. I would be wary of it holding up at all if he comes back too soon. Too bad because that stack of Diontae Thielen Legette Coker Sanders, with some games under their belts, might have been pretty good.
  14. It is about Tepper if you ask me.
  15. I am good with the idea of a decent vet and a nice roll of the dice on a non top 5 QB, and another, and so on until one clicks.
  16. He is actually making Young earn his playing time. Like, you got an opening, do something with it, or sit down and Andy will go back in. Yeah the way he was treated, handed the job again after that first year, I seriously disagreed with that. I get why they wouldn't (bring in legit competition), but it goes to why I didn't want to draft him anyway. Years of time invested in a very limited player. I didn't have years I wanted to give him.
  17. I am afraid no doubt regarding Young and his future, and the role Tepper may have in deciding it. Like hoping against hope there is no year three of Bryce Young. Because he ain't it. I feel like, let's get the Bryce issue out of the way and put Canales to work on the real job ahead. I do not feel like spending more time in the jr olympics is gonna be productive on any meaningful level. Re Canales... I took the stress burden out of play by issuing a free pass to Canales for being out coached in his first year along with a myriad of other potential pitfalls these young coaches have to navigate. Whatever, show me that you can learn from it.
  18. They wouldn't activate him if they weren't going to put him on the field. I was thinking post bye week, sounds like that is what might happen.
  19. Yet a couple of games back, was it Chicago or Washington, maybe both but his 'blocking' led to tackles for loss and sacks and stuff. I am happy for him if he got it right once.
  20. I an not a Morgan sucks poster but if they put Brooks on IR for the year it is a major black mark. They fuging better not have taken a guy that can't see the field his entire first year..
  21. You can dog any player but when you get to Bryce, it is hating. Hunt deserves poo for that, he should be embarrassed and I bet he is. Hopefully that woke him up, opened those eyes.
  22. Speaking of Shaq, I was watching some video of him from 2022 and he looked good. So much better than what we have on the field now. I do think he has maybe lost a step, half step, but it was a big loss.
  23. We were in lock step on Young. I never thought he had the goods and a 'fix' will only get him somewhere close to where he is now. I'd say he still has a little ceiling left but not too much, he is very close to it. The thing about TMJ/Mingo not developing, people have been dogging them as wasted picks. Is he supposed to develop wasted picks too? It isn't a real consistent narrative. Kind of like trap logic. Hmm, give him an undoable job and then fire him for not doing it.
  24. I don't see the Wallace speed ratings on the field. Not once have my eyes been drawn to him from any suddenness or explosiveness. Kind of like looking for a flash out of Bryce Young last year. I am aware that he is a rookie and his recognition and processing will be slower but if you don't close ground once you have finished recognizing and processing I worry about it. Now this, I think, disregards the new offensive staff's experience with WRs and their influence on who gets added. It isn't the old staff people and they are the offensive deciders, Morgan shouldn't be exerting his will over people whose focus has always been offensive football, and I don't think he will try to do that. We'll see, but the two we added this year don't look like busts.
