  1. I probably don't. I am not schooled on OL technique past the HS level and I was LB/G. We played a 61 it was fun. I know that is his thing, the thing he does best and excelled at. And saw him do it in the league in 2022. And it was gone. Like the pass blocking screwed his run blocking up. I don't know. I just see.
  2. Yeah you know what would happen if we put him in up 26? We wouldn't be up by 26 for very long.
  3. Did a google and this was easy to find and has the info. I snipped the trade 'chapter'. ----------------- https://www.bhindthesteelcurtain.com/pittsburgh-steelers-nfl-features-news-blog-long-form/2016/3/5/11158958/nfl-101-how-cuts-retirements-and-trades-affect-the-salary-cap Trades Sometimes, players are traded away, and this affects the salary cap in much the same way as a cut or a retirement. The team from which a player is traded is no longer on the hook for unpaid salaries or future bonuses, but is still responsible for accounting for any bonuses that have already been paid. That may just be remaining, prorated signing bonus money, but it can also include things like a roster bonus that was paid at the beginning of the current league year. Again, this all depends heavily on when the player is traded. However, the big accounting difference in a trade is that, when a player is traded, the team is still getting something back in return for the player. Typically, this is one or more other players, so those players' salaries would then be counted against the acquiring team's salary cap. The incoming players' prorated bonuses, however, continue to stay with their previous team. ----------------- I think there could be a June 1 designation like with retirement didn't get that far.
  4. So what's the dead cap money the next two years in a trade scenario?
  5. Funny as heck but that's ought to end up in some 3rd would place they don't speak English like the 'oops we lost' World Series and Super Bowl champs shirts. Or maybe backwards on a thick female.
  6. Yeah, 2023 showed in week three. Here we are with the do over, the right way The problem was that Dalton would not have lasted with that OL. He is even less mobile. Bryce would have been right back in. How was Bryce worse in 2024 than 0, 0 to finish the year in 2023? I am going to say because in 2024 he got the protection to show it IS him. I believe he was actually better looking than any time ever outside of a few plays, in the Buffalo preseason series. Had his footwork squared away too. Look real good. For him, the best. Ball came out and flew much better. Failure sucks. And he has never failed. And he knows now that he will never be able to do what Dalton showed him on Sunday. Up close, with his team. It was the biggest night and day since Jake came in for Rodney his first game. Much wider gap. So, we’ll see what the future holds. He simply can’t make the throws consistenty at this level.
  7. It would one way to see how true it is that we have ruined him. I'b thrilled at a second to be honest going by what I think people will offer.
  8. Looking at his numbers, they aren't bad. They might get better here in the offensive environment we seem to have created. that money just to try it out? fug that. Money comes after proof.
  9. I agree but Ickey should maul on request one on one without any thought about anything. He has his man, drive that man. We watched him do that. Then we didn't. I blame him for that. Well, better to say he is responsible for himself in a one on one road grading assignment. (and wasn't handling it. Or I didn't see his best)
  10. Probably every one of them but just guessing on the bolded ones. Mile High scares me just because the air density factor. Plus the Venezuelan gangs might take over the team hotel.
  11. They are saying that their road win over Baltimore is worth more than our road win over them. Which, no argument.
  12. It's over 40 million per year for Jones. We need to look for a better Daniel Jones that didn't earn the fat second deal, or a rookie deal washout that has the tools and is cheap. Like Bryce will be, but with actual tools outside of his head.
  13. It's going to have to be. They can score. edit: seeing the Panthers O not miss a beat replacing AT, that would be real helpful. And cool.
  14. I'm thinking anything offense starts with Canales, and his people. Remember the deal where they brought all the scouts in and met with coaches to set parameters for player evaluation? Seems like I do. Probably was a really important thing to do. And from what I see in Canales, he sweats the details. So would be able to give them a lot to lean on. Or into.
  15. Reclamation... Baker. What's his age? edit: 29. I guess Lawrence is a year or two younger than I thought but it is really about former highly draft player that disappointed and lost the big opportunities.
  16. All about the contract. If he gets cut and is FA? Not happening though.
  17. I fell in love with Evan Engram that day. That is too much money for a reclamation. Just far too expensive.
  18. I think if Dalton executes at 80-85% just grabbing a number, we are around a .500 team. (17 games of dalton) This is what we needed to see what kind of coach Canales can be. There is surely more that hasn't been put in. We'll see how deep his (well is). I still hold that you can't judge him to not have learned from last season, nor can you be sure he had free rein. He was inside of parameters defined by his boss and his personnel. This is HIS baby. There will be more than what people saw last year. It's probably going to show us what we have in a coach as much as the players.
  19. For me the concern is no AT. I expect an impact. (in a probable shootout) It would be great if they have that covered but we'll have to see that on the field. one more thing: to expect 30+ points weekly, that's a bar we will have to see set over a period of time. It's hard to assume, even as good as that offense looked Sunday.
  20. Maybe add "top 3" or just high, up top. I want to draft one. I want to draft however many it takes year to year until one hits. It's like a crap shoot might take a few rolls. I am thinking with a guy who QBs like, he helps them, the retread rehab is a really good way to buy time to find that guy that gets overlooked in the draft a little.
  21. Until the contract entered my feeble mind, I was looking for a better rehab candidate than Bryce. That's the only evaluation I did. He would be a big upgrade all else equal.
  22. Have seen him be good one week and it shuts off again. Or in a half. Focus? 1) What are they going to have to pay Andy to start another season? 2) I was serious before about find another Andy for backup. Who is the closest that we could get? Andy is a top backup go get the toppest dude out there that is compatible. Then what is the total cost. You could be pretty set and be able to draft a guy after the 1st to try out and see what you have. If you make the 2nd guy a younger, Baker like rehab, that could work too. Might be the best thing. (and if you see a Rattler level guy late, go for it)
  23. I think Bengals could. They had a bad game and scored 33 points and the week before lost by a point to KC which, I didn't watch how it got to 26-25 but they must have been in it. Also, we will be missing Thielen's sneaky availability on 3rd down. And as TD from last week. ( i know you said last week, but we'll probably have to do that again).
