  1. Thinking there was about to be some if they kept playing Bryce Young. QB room might be all warm and fuzzy but that WR room was about to start something It’s like Bryce put all this crap and do mean crap on film but people were too 2020s to know what they are looking at, until Dalton came and showed them the difference. meaning he is hugging the guy that exposed him. Yeah that is hard but he did it to himself. Andy didn’t do anything wrong just being Andy.
  2. Depending on where the team is, but yeah. They do this stuff in baseball, and sometimes can re-sign the guy after the season. Win win.
  3. I’m not down for a large argument. Not like the Bryce stuff - which is mostly resolved. I am happy the offense is doing what they are now doing. I can understand something, the why, and not like it. Which kind of where I am. So this is about Morgan anyway and I understand we have a new offensive coach. And I can’t blame Morgan for the situation he inherited. all the assets already wasted … Bozeman, Hurst, Bell, Bryce Young. Then Mingo in the 2nd who is only a second year guy, you have to draft on top of him that high so soon? And I like Legette. How about they make do with what they have already spent? I mean they are asking the defense to make do. And they can’t? I like defense and they are being shorted. I lost something in edit: but like Hunt and Lewis? They couldn’t have held themselves to 100 million? Maybe Hunt and a draft pick? Or Two Lewises at 50 each? Something left over for a pass rush?
  4. I had a feeling he was good enough to get the weekly prize. Really well deserved. That guy can do that, and sat there watching the fail down after down, week after week, without saying anything.
  5. Still. The reason I say that, not speaking for others, is pretty clear. The picks for Burns went where? The money we didn’t pay him, went where? The draft picks, even trading up to the first, went where? They have been shorting the defense to benefit the offense. Clearly it has been all about giving Bryce the help he needed. I looked a while back and the out of the last I think 12 picks 3rd round and up 9 were offense, and the highest pick spent on a defensive player was the 3rd on Wallace I think Without going back to review And we are ending up playing our backup QB. Lol. But what is that if not totally top heavy on offense? We can’t keep that up
  6. I remember reading that Quinn promised to turn him loose basically.
  7. My issue would be that they went overboard towards the Bryce support in the roster construction. I resented being asked to throw more money at making him ... average. The small wheeling and dealing has weighed in, in our favor. Not talking Burns, talking the 2025 2nd falling from the sky and the Diontae/Dante exchange.. and Mike Jackson for the guy we took in the 7th. The draft, that goes under Bryce roster construction too. I'd like to see a year where there aren't those kind of unreasonable pressures. I have very little issue with anything else.
  8. Is there no shame? I can see how people missed on Leaf/Manning (sort of), or how they could have missed on Stroud. And other legit NFL prospects. If you went for Bryce Young and pushed that poo like you are pushing whoever you are pushing now? Please turn in your scout card at the front desk. Hate me I don't care.
  9. A mudder game would change everything yes. And we are set up for that. Oh wait, we don't have mud we have wet plastic carpet or something.
  10. Canales had Bryce’s full rookie season film to evaluate. I think he knew exactly what he was dealing with. 2.7, 1 of 11, we don’t need Bryce to be (forget the word) special but a few plays a game, and that footwork had to go. He couldn’t even get 1 of 11 from him. Let’s get him his QB, that’s what this is really about.
  11. 40% maybe. I don’t trust us to win a shootout yet. Not the first game post Thielen. But I know we could possibly put some decent points up again. Probably not getting shut out. Couldn’t say that two weeks ago.
  12. I don’t think you just can trade money for a player like you can in baseball.
  13. Smartest guy here. Only engage after wins.
  14. Throwing it away on 4th down I fuging saw that. 4th down you can’t make it throw it down the field like a punt geez what a processor.
  15. Roster bonus goes to the new team in the new year, signing bonus comes due on checkout so to speak. They pro rate that over the length of the deal. He got most of his money in signing bonus. If I'm right
  16. I can only see one way out (Cue Gregg Allman) and that's if we have a player on the last year of the contract that makes enough to offset Bryce's cap penalty. A player who is in the last year of his deal doesn't have future this or pro rated that. Clean. So, that player and Bryce for a really nice draft pick that we don't have to pay this year. Or i guess you could trade them to different teams, same effect. Or stand pat, tough poo Bryce. Any better ideas? If you can find any kind of way without further sticking it to us, be my guest. And PS that player is probably Diontae or Thielen, or Shaq, or? Who else is on the last year that's getting paid?
  17. Some great baseball managers barely made it out of the minors and some didn't. I bet there are a ton of NFL success stories that are similar.. humble beginings and all that. And some great players can't teach. Tennis, football, music, whatever. I like his stuff but did get irritated with the Bryce excuses especially because the decent plays were hammered home and the opportunities that were missed were downplayed. But I'm biased, I didn't want to deal with Bryce Young and his uphill battle.
  18. [edited this in: To me the competition should have ramped up this year. Instead of pretending he was a rookie and giving him a do over.] Just find another one. Let's say he does 'okay'. You don't really know but you are thinking maybe. Like the Buffalo preseason series got people. You have one more year of cheap. Thats it. Is anyone expecting to give him that second contract money? I think you take that off the table barring some divine intervention on his behalf this year. Make it not an option.
  19. He was like royalty that is too young to rule. Or something. I mean they gave him all this power and cred and he doesn't know what to do with it. And also, go Coker. Hope he is able t do something with it.
  20. I'm happy we got a guy who likely isn't a yes man straight down the list. And also think hitting on his hire would be better than a single QB short of HOF types. You get a culture and he can still find a QB. Theee coach. I want someone who won't just go yes Mr Tepper, and when he says no, has it right. Like this, like Andy, like his plays look good.... Home run on this move. Hit a couple more. Get that established and Tepper will be a minimal problem.
  21. He could fit in a one seater twice. I looked at a film of him standing behind the OL today and he was so narrow he looked like half of what the OL guys were. It isn't even just the height and the slight he is also narrow as hell. Ir is just fuging insane, but I always said that.
  22. They shouldn't do that if he is in for injury to the starter lol. Being booed off the field for Jack Plummer, priceless.
  23. Yeah I don't think we'll be seeing any of Young until playoff elimination or injury opens up the spot for the little scrub. edit: so it shouldn't be a hardship on us. Probably on him but he is paid very well to suffer in good health
  24. The guy isn't really it for me, but sure. Just trying to help.
  25. I thought he was pretty fair. He gave praise. Several times he commended how quick Dalton got the ball out and at another point towards the end basically said it was refreshing to see that kind of quarterbacking. I think. I missed a couple of those almost ints, as far as how close they were. Also some misses and how close they were, Diontae open in the EZ on the first drive I think but Andy missed him. And the same play almost later, another miss.
