  1. No doubt. And woe be to anyone getting in the way of his willing his decision into success.
  2. They are in shambles, I didn’t watch it but I read about the doings, where they are about to mutiny on Glenn. Glen. Wtevr Wilks’ unit seems to have done their part. I haven’t really looked at them yet. I’ve fallen out of the habit of scouting the upcoming game because it was a waste of effort the last few years These overseas games with no home field, that damn crazy round trip travel, can’t be a positive for the following week. Or that week.
  3. Some of these grades are inevitably inexplicable. In his case I am guessing the lateral may have pissed someone off. I think they really need to revamp their criteria for running backs. That is lower than last week for the game’s MVP. It seems as if the OL doing their jobs (which they did very well) takes away from a RB killing it. That is not right IMO.
  4. Game managers, in the traditional non flattering context, are placeholders. Pretty much. And represent the mediocrity that Big Tep swore to ban from the building
  5. Too risky for the franchise QB Tepper thinks he has. Or thought he had. And may again think he has. Bryce is a week to week weathervane. one week it is gentile south winds, the next week cold Canadian Football League winds.
  6. The whole first year was putting those inflatable bags in place, that they use to get boats off the bottom. Works for millstones too.
  7. Yeah you have to be a real Grinch to watch that and not feel something. 24 hour rule. Then I go back to perfectionist, super realist mode.
  8. Yeah everyone is saying that and it is logical. Rubber meets the road at that point with Young. And the OL subs.
  9. That is the uncomfortable part of the truth, but I am going soft on it because we have seen similar scenarios where we didn’t do poo against bad teams. And we are still in tne 24 hour rule window, and people’s feels are so fragile.
  10. Clearly the theme year one was offense. I think Dan would reasonably defer to an offensive specialist in that scenario. Year two Dan got to do his thing mostly. Seems like ‘keep it simple stupid’ KISS or Occam’ Razor in action, when looking for the key to the ‘why’ of things.
  11. I always looked at that through the lens of a mandate to make the QB not fail. That was Job 1. The highest priority when considering a decision. I was a Ryan Khalil fan, he was a great asset. As such, I’m a fan of having a quality C (my dad was a C in college, too so it comes with the genes I guess). The catch that I saw was simply that they did not want to have a rookie learning curve there with the QB being so much in need of support. Don’t put too much on Bryce’s plate… get him a pass catching RB instead. All about propping up the QB. I wouldn’t say I defend the decision, more like I see the thought process behind it.
  12. Yeah. I though that high value placed on a pass catcher at RB showed what Canales thought was necessary to help the QB he had. And what separated Brooks from the pack, to him. That was a Canales pick more than a Morgan pick, in my mind.
  13. After the fun yesterday, I could be uncharacteristically optimistic in a moment of indulgence. I just know I was happy with what I saw under Wilks compared to what I had been been watching. I would be feeling the same if this team could beat the teams they are supposed to beat. With their road performances they would have to run the table at home and steal a couple road wins for a shot at playoffs. So no I don’t see playoffs as realistic. Yesterday was Bryce hitting his ceiling. But I look at that like a 6 handicapper shooting 2 under. It just was a great day for him. He kept in in the fairway, avoided the hazards and sunk some putts. Do I expect that level of performance on a week to week basis? It is technically possible but I don’t expect it. We will see.
  14. Which considering the dumpster fire the team has been (and yes he owns a fair amount of that), 7-10 is in the ‘it could be worse’ zone. Which it was before tbis 3 game streak.
  15. He is contributing as a down draft player, early in his first year. I won’t complain.
  16. If you look at the RB leading the team in receptions, it sort of explains the Brooks pick last year.
  17. I have been easy on him, less critical than many. I generally am more patient than many, from what I can tell over the years. I refused to criticize him or the rookie HC In year one. Started the clock on both this year. I figured the 2024 draft would be salvaged by Jackson, Coker, CSW, Sanders. Apparently Wallace is working his way onto that list. This season’ draft at this point looks like a grand slam. At this point we still have to beware of the ‘rookie wall’ but the young ones are growing each week. His aggressive overhaul of the fronts each season is encouraging and showing positive results overall. We have to remember the FA have to want to be here, and we were a wreck, so there was that to contend with He improved after his rookie year. If he can show that same kind of improvement in year three, I think you will have to be really pleased.
  18. Yeah contract wise we have a bird in the hand in Chiba. Rico is a one year deal. 17 gamesis a long season. We have a good thing now keep it that way.
  19. Joe Person said Horn asked to be put on Pickens before the last Dallas possession. Article on the game at The Athletic, on the team page.
  20. I love it, can’t stand Bayliss’ whiney ass.
  21. All that practice he has had at playing from behind may be paying off. JK he was very good today. .
  22. Especially when the offense is able to compete like they are. I mean, you fuged one phase of your three.
  23. Without reading the replies, I am going to contribute that the offense kept them off the field a lot better than their normal performance. They other thing is, they need time together and should be, hopefully, starting to get on the same page
