I haven’t seen enough to know if we will get two years ago Andy. And week 3 2024 Andy was very good. It looks like some drop off may be in play. He has the experience and the eyes to compensate somewhat. (It is more OL dependent than usual considering he is not too mobile). As an aside, that Russell Wilson special late to Legette was how I expected t see him used with Bryce. Hasn’t happened.

The design was have the two big dog guards to sandwich him, which keeps him much less exposed. Oh well. I guess the challenge will be good for him going forward.

What's the best way to split RB carries?

And it is delicate because Chuba is a Captain. I expect him to put the team first though, when push comes to shove. -
Yeah. I have not been disappointed in the defense nor the offense except the lack of faith in the QB - and he has done some decent things. It isn’t all bad Just so limiting and that’s what I mean by as currently constructed. They have mostly beat who they were supposed to. I am not sure how to view the Bills. Except to not be expecting them to lose three in a row. I would say they shouldn’t be expected to beat them so if they do then they elevate into the other category of pulling an upset or two. The next step after winning those you should win. I am really not a greedy fan- meaningful games in late December are going to keep me engaged and basically non pissed off. I mean that is my bottom line expectation from the franchise on a yearly basis. It will change in specific seasons with maybe some higher expectations but we aren’t there right now. But I can see it from here with a tweak to the defense and better QB play. PS - how I really feel about .500 and now .570 is we were there at the end of 2022 and threw it all away to step up - and are just now getting back there. After so much waste of assets and the improvement that could have been made with them. Super frustrating.

I made my judgement before the 2023 draft over what I saw on video and it was just ridiculous with the Bruce advocates using college to speculate all summer long. You can’t successfully argue against it because there are no examples of him playing vs veteran NFL talent. It was really hard to just sit back and watch all the cock sure fapping. All based on college tape. Most of the same people are still fighting that fight though. Don’t believe your lying eyes - I have the stats right here that will prove you didn’t see that.

I listened to the radio (Luke is an outstanding analyst) and didn’t hear much. Stat sheet didn’t show much. Maybe he executed his blocks Politician answer is they have like 5 options with the TE and RB being used so they can’t all be the star each week. Let’s hope he looked good enough on film to get some looks this week.

Honesty I can’t see that happening with the team as currently constructed. But to feel good about them I need to see them beat who they should beat and steal a couple they are dogs in and compete (with the top teams), be a team people don’t look forward to playing. That is what I feel like they owe us, more is gravy.

Well he made some good contributions and hopefully built up some confidence. GWe have so many guys who could be targets - Cowboys game 10 different players had receptions. And he isn’r the number one option and then you have a quarterback that is challenged to take advantage of them being open. You can argue to what degree but the point is that numbers may vary quite a bit from week to week. I just want him to make the catches he should make and execute his blocks and keep the penalties down. 9/92/TD, 3/40, 2/20, whatever it is that game if he does his job is fine with me.

What's the best way to split RB carries?

It is not going to be a big issue every week because they each will likely miss time for a sprain or something. It is a 17 game season. I don’t know the answer but I would probably split the scripted plays on the opening drive and see how they look. I think after that you probably should give them 2 drives each where they are the primary ball carriers but get the other guy a couple of plays to keep them loose and their heads in the game. Rather than straight alternating drives where one sits out If you are in a good place to running and wear the defense down in the second half you might lean towards who looks better that day. And maybe if you need to throw you lean on Rico a little more. -
Bryce Young - High Ankle Sprain, out minimum 1 week
strato replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am betting that is just a tactical formality. Don’t give up anything until you have to. This is the worst case we were afraid could happen last year, in his original ‘prove it no excuses’ season. Like, leaving the question at least partially unresolved. We are in danger of that now if he misses significant time. -
It was a nail biter. Never felt comfortable. Ugly. I place value on it not because we are 4-3 but because it is proof of progress. Possible change. Jets lost. That could have been us and probably would have been the last few years. Perennial losers on the way to being winners at some point have to learn how not to blow it. Because that is the pattern. we had some of that in ‘02. We had to transition again in 2011 and 2012. it is a step. Hopefully it isn’t followed by too many spells backwards.

Bryce's Achilles Heel Is Not What You Think It Is
strato replied to fieryprophet's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can’t stand silent any longer.. He has s sickness. It will defy any logic people try to bring. He tried to deny us the freedom of having a negative opinion of a player simply by the color of our skin. Yet we have positive opinions of many black players Love some of them I guess they must be house *you know the word* if we like them I bring it to this: let’s say you are black. are there black people that you don’t like? I brt there are. But no white people are allowed to dislike them? Because they are maybe shitty people of shitty players or there is just something about them you don’t line. We have to drop this way of thinking. -

I may as well burn all my bridges here I am not sure there is a bigger racist on this board than you You seem to be unable to view anything through a non racial lens or to give anyone credit for not doing it. . -

Thank you. These people are wearing me out with their non contextual statistics. As if I need more of a sample size to confirm what my eyes already tell me. They don’t want to look because they don’t want to see. You others I might get to y’a later. Dealing with you is exhausting. . -

Where did I cite Dalton throwing the ball 60 air yards? I believe you err. The other guy currently in this thread claimed earlier, that Bryce could throw the ball 60 yards and I asked him if he had ever seen that. -

You are ignoring what I said - to fall back on your stats. I was talking about one game. Well, maybe two games one from week 3 2023 and one from week 3 2024 (the annual Bryce can’t play reaction weeks lol). Dalton wore down in 2024, the offense suffered some injuries in the span of games he played. The season stats will skew towards your desired outcome. Could be why you used them but I don’t care because I know what I am looking at. You avoided answering my question too, about did you see Bryce throw the ball 60 yards? -

I know how you will characterize this but I don’t need your data thank you. My dad was a HS ball coach. I have watched the NFL since probably 1962. I know what I am looking at when I watch it. -

You looked up some stats. Congratulations. I can’t put you in the frame of mind of watching Bryce’s two first NFL starts and then seeing Dalton come in. So whatever I say you probably won’t get the effect. It was a different experience watching Dalton run the offense. and Dalton is not the be all end all, but he looks like an NFL QB and operates like an NFL QB and the contrast was 180. -

Call me a slanderer but I don’t think Bryce could operate from under center. You saw his dropback right? Worst thing Inever saw. I was flabbergasted watching our number one pick in the first game. I am numb to it now, it doesn’t register, but I had never seen such crap in an NFL game. Go look at his footwork, his drops, the whole package from those first few games. Frank may have been a mid NFL coach but he knew.. I mean it’s like they sent him on the Normandy invasion with a BB gun. -

He knew the deal. He got screwed. And was pissed off about it. He could have worked with CJ. Who I am only mentioning because he was behind door number 2. And I don’t think he even got to choose his OC. Who was a running back, didn’t know QBs. -

Have you ever seen him throw it 60 legit yards? I would think he would need a nice stiff breeze at his back.
