Game 2 Diontae and Thielen both were open and Young was not getting it to them. I’d have to watch it again to remember who did what but I think Diontae wouldn’t talk to Bryce, Thielen was yelling on the sidelines. Something like that. And there were post game comments about it. Thielen for sure was trying to deflect that it was personal with Bryce Young… also the throwing of hands in the air in frustration after being wide open and no ball, that was happening. The media video after the game, locker room and I can’t remember if there was a podium statement… but it will be addressed there. take it further when Young was benched the next day those guys could barely contain their pleasure. It was obvious they were excited to get another guy in that job who might be able to do it.

Seems like they are doing that, which is why he is still not playing. I do want to see him. Gotta make sure he isn't glass ahead of next season and really even the trade deadline. For him, gotta have him get hit and hopefully see that his repaired knee is right so he can play freely without fear. Packages. Get him in a couple.

Lot of conspiracy type of thinking going on in here. It's pretty simple. He had been grousing with Young, that we know of. He progressed to acting out. Then he did the acting out by quitting on his routes and poo with Andy, commenting derogatory stuff about he can't do people's jobs for them or something. Now we have Bryce playing, it wasn't going to get better.

There is a Belichick clip out there from earlier this year saying that everywhere Darnold had been except the NYJ, liked him. Said he talked to people in Carolina and SF and they liked him. Obviously Minnesota does. You aren't going to win them all or be great every game against every team. Somehow we had to go from that and PJ and Baker to... Bryce. Oof.

Morgan knows what a good locker room culture looks like, people are forgetting he was on those really good teams in the Jake days. Not understanding that won't be one of his weaknesses. They dealt with Diontae pretty quickly.

I saw where they had him last week I guess it was, and looked at their depth chart and that's where he was. ROLB. The guy across from him had some sacks I think they said on the telecast, I really didn't pay a whole lot of attention.

Well, yeah, it is a no win. When they gave him WRs, after hearing all the complaining about them for a year, he wasn't ready to use them. It was what I used to think when people said we didn't have any fast WRs that could get open deep. I was like, so?

They are all in the same boat though. Probably some commiseration going on. Thielen was vocal and demonstrative too, just didn't get busted quitting on Andy.

There isn't a QB in the league that wouldn't qualify as an upgrade. Dodged a, well I don't want to say bullet, how about dodged a nerf ball.

Something about that OL that I question. Other than the two guards it is the almost the same OL. Last season most of the issues were the guards. With the upgrade at guards like was done, I don't understand why Bozeman couldn't have worked. I really don't think he is worse than Christensen. Not a major major thing just seems inefficient.

So y’all didn’t It is best people take the high road. I like to see that in the players. But he did what he did that we know about. There was likely a locker room rant or display of frustration to teammates, the usual stuff. Doesn’t really matter.

Word was out. Left behind on a road trip, after the previous week that everyone saw. And fwiw Diontae caused that by acting out. Talking his talk. Looked like if they had to they would have cut him outright. And if you are releasing a player you are saying he has no value to you. edit: it's on him, the low return. He put things out there. On the field, in the postgame comments. I bet that lil act cost him some money when he wants that next deal.

Their OL is about as bad as it gets with guys being out. A couple of weeks ago I am pretty sure they were putting practice quad guys in to start. Like down to 3rd string in a couple of spots. That is gonna suck for Carr too.

I am talking high draft capital more than cap money. There probably won't be any Burns level big cap relief and draft pick booty this year to reallocate to the offense so probably just normal FA stuff - for sure not another pair of trophy players like those guards. It didn't get here in one year it took at least three years of draft neglect (the highest pick used for defense in 3 years is #70). It is time that offense learned to do for itself with what it has and the table scraps like the D has been fed for three damned years. With these offensive minded coaches. I get that a QB will be a necessity. Anything else, if we had to spend I'd say if there is a seriously top flight TE I would probably be willing to sacrifice for that. I don't know of any right now.

Can't assess things accurately now but if the lay of the land looks right I'd trade back and take a QB too, just take him later. If there is an opportunity.

Okay for one thing the defense wouldn't play us with Stroud like they play Bryce. The biggest thing gumming it all up was no stretching the field, almost none. Whatever they did to stretch it scared no one. That is still going on and it's a huge problem. Or a huge symptom of Bruyce's limitations, however it works. It would have been much different with Stroud, the team might have thought they had a chance, too. Which affects things.

Two rookies too. Man, though. We can find a WR down the draft we don't need to keep pumping big capital into this offense with the kinds of defensive holes we have.

They have to play each other though. I think the only team we are in competition with that we play is NYG. Our SOS will be pretty tough the last 7 or 8 games. Jets and Pats and Dolphins all play each other enough to maybe each get a win. Titans Jags play.

Well, how did that work out? Doesn't seem to be any way to defend that whole sequence. He may be a jerk but he would have to be totally narcissistic to not understand that he fuged up. Maybe he is that clueless and there will only be more. Or maybe he starts to learn that he does not know the same as people who have put their life into football. It's the only hope there is.

That's how I remember it, not cut specifically but I didn't think he was in the plans and we were happy to get something.
