He was a highly ranked high school guy. I think those guys are probably worth keeping track of. A lot of the failure comes from huge expectations mixed with immaturity. Which I am not saying that was or wasn’t him it’s just a common thing when you see then not live up to expectations. A lot to deal with at 19 years old. Some mature late, still have those skills that made them stand out. So many fall through the cracks.

I like everything pretty much but thought this was real thorough and it is from the Bills perspective the guy goes through every starter we have. Kind of long but anyway… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHdRElqxEgY

I also disagree on the tiers. Not to hang up on you I just put him like maybe bottom - uh let’s say we have 3 tiers. His normal game is bottom tier. I’ll give him the top of the bottom. he ups his game and he can move into the bottom third of the middle tier. If he wants to go any higher he has a few games coming up where he can prove he deserves that.

Yeah. I am losing faith in the staff. I don’t see them fixing this in the offseason. Back to irrelevancy

hate to agree as I am a SCar fan. But they just can’t stand prosperity.

Greg Cosell & compsny preview bills panthers

Howell had a pretty bad OL in DC and still outperformed the 1.1. He wasn’t supposed to. -
I should have just kept quiet.

It has been a disappointing season for SCAR but he is balling today. College style.

That is the thing. If Bryce was drafted according to reality and not whatever it was that afflicted people in the spring of 2023, he wouldn’t get near the grief. It would be like punching down, expecting a 3rd rounder to perform like the 1.1. -
Depends on which Dalton you get. We did this last year and I vouched for Dalton and he delivered. I don’t know what to think this year. Not as confident, even thought the team around him is a little better I think. It’ll be all over but the crying in 24 hours.

I think that is a good bet. If Andy goes down and no Bryce we are just going to lose the game.

The Jakes and Warners are so rare. And that was when we had NFL Europe a nice professional farm league. Lot of these guys need to play to develop and they get to the NFL and they don’t get to play. I hated that they folded that league. Okay this is a chance to rant about Goodell. Folded the farm league, now he is starting g a flag football league. See where this poo is going?

Yeah. It isn’t a lock. IMO. One can’t say how these things will go with a lot of certainty. In general feels, we are due to stub our toe at home and they aren’t likely to lose three straight. How it gets there hard to say. If Dalton's arm isn’t washed and the OL protects and the PA can work because we are running the ball we can play with them. It will be hard. The QB is a stud and they have a strong running game. They can exploit us in the middle of the field. It almost always comes down to the players and we have shown a lot of growth but this is a bigger test than we have seen this year. They have the experience advantage over us big time. Staff too.

I wasn’t going to say it… but someone probably had to. You heinous hater.

I am no football savant as has been demonstrated here over and over, but I saw it. I went for years doing the mock draft thing and researching the players that we might get around our pick, time consuming stuff. And we would get to the draft and trade the pick. All that time, wasted. So I quit doing that. Also realized I was not a scout and would never be a scout and went to looking the videos and reports After we picked a guy. Maybe I would look at the 1st round, but quit that too and just looked after we picked. When they did that trade I saw Bryce and his size and just ruled him out. Then it got to yeah they are probably going to take him, I relented and looked at some video and got to his pro day. It took me all of a few minutes to see the issues. The footwork. The arm. And the tape of games? The backyard style. I knew, what can I say? (Also, went down the physical checklist, not a single plus attribute on the NFL level. Arm, speed, size, etc, nothing to offset the negatives. nothing) I think it was easy for me because I had not watched a single game he played in college, and wasn’t drawn in by the hype. Had no preconceived notions and just looked at it pretty clinically. I got in here and everyone was going “but look at what he did in college! It is the SEC, if he can do it in the SEC he can do it in the NFL!” Couldn’t reason with hardly anyone. I don’t think I could tell you which guy would succeed between two prototypical guys with great arms and athleticism, and have no special insight into any of that. My one calling in football scouting was to see the real about what we were about to do. And you still don’t know for sure until they get in a real game in the NFL.

Cam Newton gets into it with Alabama A&M mascot
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s a person that works as a mascot. Who knows what they are thinking? ‘mascoting’ seems to be about doing goofy poo and if you are out there running around with them maybe you are expected to play along. -
I always go back to the first game Bryce played in the NFL. I was really bothered by two things. His lackadaisical meandering dropback, no urgency at all. Like what’s the hurry. And no deep balls. I don’t know what to say other than put them in the fuging play book. I seem to remember game after game where someone had done well the previous week and it was promised that they would get them involved more. And then crickets on game day. I think finally we went deep more one game just because of something like that. Memory is fuzzy on the specifics.

Greg Cosell & compsny preview bills panthers

Yeah he did great and the team lost that one for him. Ungrateful bastards. And who is that fool saying washed Dalton has a better arm? The internet, now anybody with a web cam thinks they can be an expert.
