I don’t remember if I said 5 or 6. Now, that was an estimate and not a bar or measure of any success. But there is no doubt that .500 would be a success to me. I have never been a SB or bust type. I want consistency. A shot at the playoffs, taking the division. Less ambitious goals but the idea is you can’t get to a SB unless you are in the contest. I think that meaningful games until the last couple of weeks at least is my bottom line for reasonable expectations from my teams. Every year. Not wondering if can we make it to a .350 winning percentage if things go okay.

Thanks. Someone else told me that too. Those JAGS I mean, replacing them with other JAGS, is about what it seems like it would be.

He didn't have a losing season as a pro until his 6th year. He knows his business. He has been the man that the whole organization looks to. And the fanbase. It isn't too big for him. He had some tough years and has now been bouncing around for a while, I am sure he relishes this opportunity to work.

Personal experience, they were set up and perimetered up within hours of Hugo. They stage them and when the weather eases up enough to get to it, they move. I am not there so what would I know but at the same time I don't get why people aren't seeing them after a couple of days it seems like was more like 3 or four or longer.

Rationally we know that had we taken the right QB the Bears would not have been selecting number one but it was such a fuging horrible series of decisions by Carolina. Absolutely, if you didn't watch college and develop an attraction or affinity about the player you would be able to view it more realistically. But that's not in any way supposed to be a guy working for an NFL team at the level where he would have influence like that.

Well Williams seems to be mostly a bust because he thinks he is better than he is. I haven't watched enough to really say but what I've seen is about that. He has tools and could possibly learn to work with what he has in the NFL and make it better. (he seems to be playing like he is still in college) for the Bears guy...Our DBs aren't horrible, but we don't get any pressure generally so they are stressed. He'll have a chance to succeed on Sunday. We'll see.

Well Dalton has proved it and was the guy for a long time in Cincinnatti. Quite a difference. You would not have gotten Dalton in like, his year three for what they spent on Darnold (and he wasn't that bad a deal until they did that option thing before its time). It isn't a comparison until Darnold becomes the guy somewhere. But Sam Darnold has tools. Serious NFL level tools. And has played well in stretches. Actually has shown all the qualities you look for, just not at the same time. But you see them, at least. Andy is killing it and I was listening to him talk to the media people and he has given it up a few times and I've never heard people describe how he works until him, that I remember. His thing with timing is, it sounds like, throwing to the spot and reverse engineering how that is going to work between him and the receiver. Paraphrasing, I know you will be in that spot, ands will get open to get there. I'm not good reteller but I'll post the example. This isn't the first time he has said things about how it works. He has the ability to throw to a specific place with the trust in the receiver to be there when the ball is. So that's his game. He could not look this good without the protection he's getting, fwiw. You can't use the same spots the same way or you're predictable, but I am seeing Canales' hand in this poo too. I like the way both of them seem to see the game. oh yeah here is the video.

30 points a game. People were hoping to get 17-21 with Young at Qb. This week will be a tougher defense sure would be nice to eat off their plate.

Do we attempt to extend Diontae this season?

Best and worst PFF grades from Panthers' Week 4 loss to Bengals

I'd just get backup as close to Dalton as I could get and take a flier on any other young QB that Canales likes and we can get for a bargain whether it's draft or trade or UDFA whatever. And yeah use the high picks and most FA to get straight on D. -
I figured he didn't have the required drop backs. I count 56. When I looked at stuff only Watson was being ranked behind him and that is most likely because everyone hates Watson.

It's early. Look at Goff doing how many? perfect 18 or 19 no misses (I saw one get wiped by a flag), and he is only where he is now. He must have been really low. Dalton might have had an off off day week 4. Still looked good doing it. I am enjoying football when he's on the field.

It's a formality, they probably haven't decided who to add.

I giving this one a WOW. I haven't really watched the games for defensive tidbits yet. Maybe DJ benefits from the increased load and gets his footing. We do some edge setting along with the rushing. -
Albert Breer: Panthers WR’s possibilities for Chiefs
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good that he says that. But also it is the player version of Bryce is our Quarterback. Canales also just said that Diontae is our WR, in so many words so we are on a roll (kidding - but when asked about a potential trade possibility, he basically said he was happy with Diontae no one was looking to trade him). -
You need to replace them though. Which on the lesser deals, you won't find much savings. Why isn't Bryce on that list?
