  1. My 500 yards thing was answering a disgruntled Bryce fan who was trolling/mocking. IOW it wasn’t based in reality. Offhand, 225, 1 TD, lots of rushing yards is closer to what a good game from the offense would look like.
  2. Which would make it ….. amusing, if he looked better than the starting QB.
  3. I am kidding because I don’t believe it and would be completely shocked, but this is the kind of stuff that happens when someone gets traded.
  4. couldn’t see in the phone screen if Cam hit or slapped the guy but I figured slapped because he remained conscious lol. Anyone can make a case out of anything. The mascot will or could be getting pressure from the school to not make it a case because of the financial benefit they get from association with ESPN. And ESPN can push or bury, depending on how they feel about Cam’s future as an on air asset.
  5. It looks like we can make good decisions when we removed the mandate to pump up the offense. Yes we took McMillan instead of defense this year but that seemed more a BPA this time around. And some pretty astute calls were made as the draft transpired. Or at least at this early stage they seem to be that. You want to help out your team? You have that draft. It has looked like that all season and still does.
  6. I am by nature optimistic about acquisitions and draft picks and how the players need time to develop and grow, and have patience with most things. This Bryce thing was so egregious to me, I just couldn’t accept that they were really doing it. It was so fuging stupid that I could see it. I ain’t no scout. I am mellowing on him a little because he has shown some growth but I still don’t believe in him. He has to put the hammer down or we are so screwed. Is what it is at this point and what I do know is I am looking forward to Sunday and hoping Andy hasn’t fallen off the cliff. If he is still able to play at the level he was a couple of years ago it will be fun. One thing I should say for Bryce is that that Dallas game was the most fun game in years, and he didn’t fug it up. But I think that’s his ceiling. Looks really good against the worst D with a 200 yard rusher on his side. Lol peace
  7. yep. But who looked at the neglect of - and outright thievery from - the defense, basically since we took Jaycee Horn high, and ever thought it was a one year fix? Not you and not me, pretty sure. I mean they put the tab for Bryce on the defense, on top of some neglect that had already happened. So it was really extreme attrition. I admit to much resentment and yes I took it out on Bryce because he was supposed to be helping us. We weren’t supposed to have to help him like that. I could have been more sympathetic lol.
  8. But it might happen that way. Last year showed how badly people wanted him to succeed because it was pretty universally opined that he did enough and showed he deserved it. people could use those game winning drive stats again, and the big time throws and a couple of wins and he will be ‘in’. Definitely a lot of support out there for him. Maybe he does something to prove to me* he should get it. That is about my best hope. * I should have said the skeptics, instead of me.
  9. It seems like they are using the opportunity to get a different perspective. They took him out of the game because he was feared to be injured. I don’t think in that moment they had ulterior motives. But it gave them time to consider one. They were probably like we are and when they thought Andy was up, decided they were excited about it. I could take it further and say maybe they looked at the film and thought hey with a week of reps, what would this look like? Surely they wouldn’t, right? (I am not claiming they did that last part just joking around).
  10. Well the responsibility of making the big picture decision on Bryce will clash with the duty to serve the record for the players who are concerned with winning the games and all that ‘best chance to win’ thing. I think they put Bryce back in.
  11. I suppose in a sense it seems fair. Let’s compare and contrast one or two little things. You have one guy going through his first OC change. And the other guy is going through his first year with the same OC. No big deal. PS I should repeat that neither player has one little bit to do with how the other is playing.
  12. Damn we have been way ahead of the times here. Who knew.
  13. If Andy throws for 500 yards well you bench him for the guy that will give you 180. Of course. Onay then, this is funny poo but the goal is to have Bryce prove what he can do with the team they built for him So we hope he can play and be healthy and show what he has. Because we need to see that he can be the QB to go forward with. Once and for all.
  14. Agree with a lot of that. Juat going to add that a big issue with teams that lack patience and commitment is they also lack continuity. They sacrifice it for the now. I think the media stole this from me but I thought we had alignment with the coach and the front office that we had not had for a long time. Very important. Kidding about the media but I promise I didn’t steal that from them. They are both green and we need to try and have some patience with them because there are always bad decisions. Or mistakes. Everyone makes them.
  15. Here comes the minor leaguer argument. The Jets was completely different that Atlanta. We needed him to be able to run a passing attack against them because they were putting it on him doing that. When you run all over someone you don’t have to have that pass so much. But they were not letting that happen so we have to do it another way. I was fearful of a turnover losing that for us before he went out of the game.
  16. Imma let you argue for me in the future. I do see why the post benching and it is because many people delineate that, before and after.
  17. To me that is still a young man. I admit when I was 36 that wasn’t my opinion He is closing in on that change though. everyone is different. We probably all known people that seemed fully mature in their 20s. Cam is still acting like a big kid though it seems like. As if I know him right, it is just my impression.
  18. It is pretty weird. Yep. I was probably starting to chill by then. Early 30s though I did equally foolish stuff and probably worse.
  19. Okay so given that what would they look like with one of them playing next to a more elite type? I am thinking along the lines of Shaq and Luke. Not that we will get a Luke but someone obviously better than Wallace next to Wallace.
  20. He is still a young man. Still prone to acting like it. He will eventually grow out of some of that foolishness That is the sort of thing that could blow up on you in a bad way. I mean if anyone is looking for a reason to mess with his job that could be made into one. Some of the people making comments were funny as hell and I don’t mean the nasty ones. There are some funny people in there. If you are gonna be all sensitive maybe don’t read them
  21. We may learn a couple of different things on Sunday. Or rather have a couple theee questions answered. I am like, Dalton wash level, Canales play calling will it contrast or or not, maybe something else. Should answer some defense questions too.
