  1. So where we are, is back to there are no real comps. He is this guy with a weaker arm, that guy but smaller. Etc.
  2. I don’t remember Garcia being that small. I don’t remember a ton except that like they couldn’t get rid of him he kept being the QB and was okay. Won some games. Just looked, he is the same size as Brees 6’1” 205 smack in the middle between Bryce and prototype QB size. Flutie 5’10” 180. Near perfect match body wise. Without looking at YouTube just fuzzy memory, I feel like he had an NFL arm. And was a good scrambler for the era. Looked at some video. Yeah he had an arm.Fun guy to watch play and had been in the CFL. His path was the opposite of Bryce nobody gave him anything. Which made him easy to root for. If Bryce could be Flutie we would be okay. I don’t think he is. Edit: Flutie threw a nice ball. Hit guys in stride. Accurate good anticipation. I wish Bryce was Flutie.
  3. I don’t watch college ball either, for the most part. All I needed was his pro day. I saw the issues right away, and was shocked that the pro evaluators allowed the insanity. edit. Not trying to brag about seeing it, it was so obvious. Several people around here said the same thing. And we are just casual fans, so what do we know?
  4. With that list it is easier to say what isn’t. Wants… I want a really good ILB. A new QB, journeyman is fine. DE.
  5. I thought Flutie was the closest comp but iirc had a much better arm. There really is no good comp that I could dream up.
  6. Buffalo just beat KC. NE is a bit if a surprise but they are a front runner. Defense got put in bad positions in both games against good teams. It was a little 2024, yes. The thing is they bounced back each time. There is growth happening there.
  7. I don’t see the hoping to lose that you claim to see. I see people wanting better because they see a ceiling. They see another multi year commitment looming, that they don’t trust. If you don’t believe in him either then your only complaint is, what… that people don’t celebrate him when we win a game? We are like the jury waiting for the evidence. And not getting a lot of it. Again I don’t see the want to lose games that you are saying you see. So… okay whatever.
  8. It’s easier for everyone, including coaches, with better talent. We’re still a bit undermanned but it is much improved. It mostly comes down to players. I mean look at the impact Derrick Brown has out there. poo… he is blasting.
  9. He was here too I think maybe we signed him away from you guys as a UFA, might have my timeline wrong. edit: his video shows up great on my little outdated iPad and most do not.
  10. Generally most hated teams are your divisional rivals and it varies depending on how good they are and some players. Different eras or time frames, Sapp and TB, Vick, but also Matt Ryan Falcons. Sean Payton Saints. And the rest depending on a few things. I mean for a long time everyone hated New England and Belichick and Kraft - and also Brady to a degree. But mostly the cheating which I felt was Kraft and Belichick. I remember hating Tedy Bruschi in particular. Dallas, Philly, mostly because of their fans but at times the players. Especially Dallas.
  11. I ageee about the Buffalo game. You put the defense on the field that long to start the game you are probably going to pay for that all day long. Coming back from that to compete in Green Bay, and steal one, is not easy or really that common. edit: as far as Evero, I was pretty much outraged at the level of support taken from the defense for 2 solid years. I had no expectations for him to meet.
  12. One thing I think everybody missed (me too) is the psychological effect of early success, when we looked at the weak part of our schedule to open the year. Comfidence is a major thing. Also, after 2.5 years the team is used to dragging Bryce around and has learned how to overcome the holes he puts them in. people talk about resilience, we kind of have that.
  13. Well, Andy Dalton, or haters, or you know… related. But touché. When you go into this area you are complaining about complainers. Making you a complainer too. So….
  14. Talking about Rattler, he is the perfect sideways move that saves multiple tens of millions and we don’t lose much in performance. in fact we probably get a slight upgrade. It is a punt and a punt is not always a bad play. It doesn’t have to be specifically Rattler but absent a great alternative I want us to punt. Contingent on Bryce not blowing up the next 8 games and sealing the deal. If he performs to his mean, average, whatever, that ain’t good enough. And we should just punt.
  15. You might have been in this discussion about this very subject not that long ago. We were breaking down the ‘NFL’ guys allocated to different SEC teams. It was real lopsided like you are saying. There very well may have been SEC teams that had one or two defensive players, at most, drafted. Not isolated but pretty common. Meanig the Alabama offense was often facing 9 or so players that went on to teach or sell insurance or whatever…
  16. Sure, but busting is generally about performance is it not? Many talented players have been robbed of their careers because they got hurt.
  17. If we were to go through your post history what percentage do you think might be, at least tangentially, concerning Bryce Young? As in shading people who are not fans or Bryce Young as our QB going forward, or directly responding to the mention of his name or the criticizing of his play, etc etc. ? You don’t contribute to this environment, like ever?
  18. I didn’t think injuries counted as busting.
  19. Except for maybe two or three, people appreciated the win on Sunday and vs the NYJ and vs Dallas and even Miami. As much as he tried to give that one away, the team wouldn’t let that happen.
  20. Ha ha yeah okay. I don’t recall calling for him, just saying. People are rightfully desperate. I surely was glad to see Plummer out of there, though.
