From year two when Beason moved on, THE man. One of the best and maybe the smartest ever. What he did to teams, few have done. LT, Ray Lewis, I'm forgetting somebody but he is up there.

Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson

Yeah true. If we extended him he'd probably blow out his achilles anyway. And he knows it lol. -
Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson

Do we know the chronology of it? I'm still trying to figure out 'the offense was changed three times' (or the playbook, whatever was said). Original concept? Again when Bryce revealed his skill set? Reverting to number 1 for Dalton in Seattle? That's technically 3. Reporters..... nowadays it's just men gossiping. Now women get to do it too, and that's their forte. It isn't going anywhere and it is left to us to decipher. -
Counting what Denver catches?

Maybe you trade a locker room cancerous type within the division? Trojan horse style. -
There isn’t anything to it unless people were saying they couldn’t see over the line or couldn’t throw downfield or didn’t have NFL arm strength. That’s commonly what people say about Young.

It is probably a Luvu thing, he doesn’t want to be here. -
Bright side: with that thin air it could get his passing chart historically expanded, to 14 or even 15 yards.
-
With Icky and Nij manning the tackle spots. And Thomas helping. Yeah that'll go well. Advantage Panther WRs: the deep routes will only need to be 10 to 15 yards - meaning the thin air may not bother them a lot.

I don't think it is weird I think it says that Canales sees Young as such a clear failure that he can't understand why he has to keep listening to the questions. I mean, they have seen Dalton and they have seen Bryce, 'why are they still asking this stuff?'. Or, he is secretly tutoring him and knows that his work will be undone if Young gets on the field too soon. It took just one quarter, a dozen or so snaps, to undo a whole offseason's worth of progress. Okay, I'll stick with that, that sounds like something the pie in the sky folks might buy.

I have been seeing what has emerged as a theme lately. The scouting thing. I don't think anybody really knows a lot about it. So you can say what you want who can correct you? This might be the most involved thing I have seen on Bleacher Report but it is a good read. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1950498-an-insiders-guide-into-the-nfl-scouting-process saw this too https://succeedinfootball.com/2020/06/12/how-is-an-nfl-scouting-dept-built-a-look-at-five-teams/

That isn't a level playing field, Bryce isn't close to being equally shitty. And he is on the wrong end of that.

No need to fire Evero. Buddy Ryan couldn't fix this without an offseason or two.

McAdoo had been the head coach of the NY Giants.

Putting Young in with those guys is giving him credit for having stuff he doesn't have. NFL tools. It is not really a good comparison.

Whatever unspilled drops are left in the glass. I'll go along with that if it keeps me from having to watch him again but I am not sure that is much of a deal.

REPORT: Panthers will not trade Chuba Hubbard
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
No you are not. It is the biggest reason for getting him out there. Not just because of Chuba but you need to see what you have. -
Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I half thought this whole year would be trying to avoid being rationalized into a third year, by somewhat improved play. As bad, or mediocre, as I thought it would go it went worse. Off a cliff. -
I’d just stick with the plan if I believed in it. Which is you have a guy who knows the NFL QB game, as well as anyone you have had maybe since Dan Henning (Chargers QB). Excluding Reich who was a radar blip basically. You work with him to identify your next move. Whatever you do about Dalton there needs to be two more people added. Keep in mind whoever they get may not not be the guy he wants, just the best he can get. Whoever Canales thinks is the best option, go. What I’d do, not having the benefit of being on the inside.

Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah. It’s as if people think Tepper is coaching them. Let them follow the illogic. Sun Tzu told us this If you want to accept that Young was ruined (it’s the other way around to me), what does it have to do with other QBs who were entirely with other coaches? Is it like the Bermuda Triangle? You enter it and you suck you leave it you don’t? Pretty sure, no. As far as return, stack up even a conservative pile of what he cost, and then realize you are arguing about the difference between a 3rd, 5th or 6th, who the hell cares? You will never get anywhere close to salvaged. Make the best deal you can and have it done. -
Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It will be a mess until they fix the mess. The only way the QB room makes sense is more Bryce coddling, protecting, sheltering, nurturing however you want to characterize that. Andy was no threat by contract, Plummer I am not even sure what they could have seen. When he (Bryce) proves to be an empty vessel, you only have Dalton. I mean, I’d love to see more in Plummer than I thought there was to see, don’t know how that will work out. From what I have seen from Bryce a large number of people should be able to best him in a competition for a job. Just not sure it automatically extends to 3rd string emergency guys that haven’t been running the 1st or scout team offense. -

Well, there are degrees. At this point I am not sure who would be uglier between Young and Plummer. Plummer probably isn’t getting much work right now. -
I might simplify that to 'stuck his nose into coaching/gm business'. That was the first big one I think.
