Ain't that the truth. Express an opinion. Ask questions... whatever. Talent evaluation and a vote? That can’t be true.

Division Talk: Falcons are heavy favorites to land Justin Fields
strato replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I believe Fields can give Atlanta a pretty big big boost. What has he had, besides Moore? I’d have to look, but I don’t think much. Just him and that running back are enough to handle. You think play action will work for them? A little. -

My realistic plan to fix the offense……what’s yours?
strato replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Okay I would open up the QB position to competition. Won’t happen. So.. total never before seen offense. The Total Red Zone offense. Seriously though it needs to be point guard city. It’s hard to figure. In no particular order I find a TE that has star potential or is one already, with the serious tools I mean. Someone who really could carry the load as a primary target for a game or a stretch of games. I guess I am accelerating the tempo in my mind based on hearing that it’s ball out in under 2.7 seconds. I’m thinking a passing offense only works in hyper quick mode. I would allow a fullback type bruiser for short yardage but the basic idea for the offense is WR and RB are interchangeable; you are looking for the same player. You get guys who are built for the ultra quick hitting 10 yard passing game. Whatever the hell that is. -
Wow. I don’t watch TV much and ESPN is about at the bottom of my give a poo list so it has been a while since I have sampled their wares. That poo is pathetic. The optics alone are enough to be embarrassing. Whoever this female is and S.a.S. doing their Poses in the background is pure ridiculousness. They are a parody of people trying to look important.

What does it mean then? Help me out with that.

Look, this historically small QB with literally a high school quality arm (analysis not insult, I could have said high school JV), isn't square and he isn’t round. He isn’t even really an NFL peg in the fist place but they didn’t care. Because, if you follow then you know that in typical Tepper logic land, the thing to do is obviously to reshape the hole. I am mostly reflecting back to last year. This is where things completely went to poo. Fitterer starts meeting with Poles to negotiate the fleecing. The scene of the crime. This is where someone put the roofie in Fitterer’s drink.

Division Talk: Falcons are heavy favorites to land Justin Fields

Yeah if the Falcons can get him cheap enough they can try it for a year. I think, if I wanted Fields, I might remember they are open to players coming as part of a trade package. Some kind of pick plus player deal and don’t write a new contract until you have seen him play for you, how bad could you really get hurt? -
I think it is probably good that we have a rookie coach who isn’t comfortable or secure and saw from across the field how the QB cost the last guy his job. Reading between the lines, Canales sounded like sink or swim on the QB. I don’t think he wants Young’s lack of NFL ability to cost him the job. A guy like Canales may not get another shot for years, if ever. So, like the undertaker in the Godfather, he will use all his powers to make Bryce look good. If it has to be in death, so be it. He isn’t going to allow him to cost him his opportunity to be a head coach in the NFL . That is the vibe I get from Canales, anyway, underneath that facade of positivity. I hope it is a realistic takeaway.

I missed this somehow... OMG man. There are nothing BUT questions in regards to his ability to play football in the NFL. They don’t see a way to move on so they are trying to fix it. And Bro, it is definitely broken. The hand picked QB whisperer they hired to employ his talents, had no answer. Obviously, people say, Bryce was just too much for him to handle (being a dinosaur and all. Sure). So, they fired the GM and hired a SECOND QB-is-my-specialty offensive staff. Brought in specifically, to fix it. He Can play. I guess. In college. He simply does not have the game the current successful QBs in the league have. He doesn’t even have the game the mediocre guys in the league have. It is why there is a whole new staff, again, they are here to design a way to hide him, basically. They are gonna do what they would do if they were given a 5th round pick and told to make him the starter. There is nothing else left to do with him. -

There isn’t a way to spin this to where it spells success. You can’t spell oops it could have been worse, with it. I guess you *could* say that, and with a straight face - if we had gotten Any value out of the deal. What value we got, we could have had for a single second day pick. Maybe 3rd day if we go by how he played. We got objectively much worse because of this plan. The double whammy of going to the casino, risking it all on 32 red .... and taking the bus home cause you are broke, says hi. -

What would it take to acquire the pick we don’t have? Pretty sure all 6 wouldn’t be enough. Hell I’d guess all that times 2 wouldn’t be enough. -
Only that this guy is trying to promote a bad nickname for the second year non phenom known as Bryce Young. In other non news... My nod to bad nicknames coming up, mixed with an embarrassing “fact”. Fact: Brock (Sittin’) Purdy and Bryce Young were back to back draft picks. Yep. Young was the next player drafted. Forever linked, lol. If they make the offense into the 49ers or something, maybe this waste of an entire scouting department we took at the top of the draft, can elevate himself to resemble the last player taken at the bottom of the previous draft. You would hope so, wouldn’t you? PS the narrative about everyone being sold on Young... it is not accurate. One of these ex GMs I listened to said there were teams that took him off their boards because of his physical short comings. And what we have seen, that would have been the winning strategy. Imagine that draft pool without Young in it. There is probably no scenario that is as potentially damaging, anywhere. Not a single move you could even imagine that could have ruined us the way that one did.

I was worried about him getting shot or stuck. These kids aren’t satisfied with just punching someone. edit: and yeah, they play healthy Young the same way as they played broken Cam. I never thought of it this way before but healthy Bryce Young vs broken armed Cam... Cam still wins. Another WTF were they thinking moment. Which I get every time I watch Young play in the NFL.

Chicago is in an unbelievable position to build their team.

Josina Anderson thoughts on the Burns situation
strato replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
You know what though? Do you remember Canales’ gushing over those precious fragile things? Basically promising to pamper them. You can’t really listen to them because they say diametrically opposed poo if it suits them in that moment. I mean, by what they say we are gonna get dawgs, if French Poodles are dawgs. -

Yeah there is a door that swings two ways here. The players know if a guy is worth the money or not and note who the sap organizations are. -
And if there were a second he wouldn’t get in that either after what he did on the field.
-
You have to think about how often they want to roll Young out because he can’t see before valuing LOT like normal teams. We aren’t normal anymore.

Okay because Fitterer is gone, it was all his fault? I feel so much better knowing this reality. Anyhow, to the question. We passed on a home run in favor of what I think will be recognized as albatross for the ages, plus a few lesser opportunities passed over for dead weight. I don’t think F covers that.
