I was mostly anti Bill and Kraft. Those guys were the real villains to me. Brady was a 5th round cool story. I did hate the Pats and I did enjoy him getting messed with over deflated footballs. But the guys doing the real cheating were the ones in charge. They have dry run test announcing, people who analyze the demographics, production staff that helps them, prepare. I don’t think they’s have made such a big play if he really had no aptitude. But maybe he will totally suck.

Young can’t benefit from any rah rah he does unless he can produce. No one wants to hear that from an under performer. So maybe if he can become a producer, a guy that his teammates have faith in, then you will see more. I figure he was pretty overwhelmed.

I don’t think being taken 1st overall tells Young he is too small. Fans thought so. It is a factor you can’t say it isn’t. The other guys overcame it. You seem to be proclaiming he will. Your opinion.

I would just have to see him come out now post employment, and say one way or the other, but the ‘wrong’ answer would damage Young which he would not want to do, and he probably wants to keep being paid by Tepper so that isn’t likely to happen.

All the reasons he struggled, were addressed. New IOL, new skills, new coaches. All those things holding him back were fixed. Now we will be able to see his greatness.

And he still showed more glimpses of special in that time than our boy did in 16 games. Bottom line. If they had only invested a 3rd on Young, my attitude would be much less critical. He needs to come out smokin’ afaic.

I don’t remember Mills from the USFL days just when he was in NO. But when you saw Smitty it screamed oh yeah, this guy has something. Immediately. So, have not seen anything that dramatic with Young. All I know about him says he is solid with his character and smarts and don’t see a lot of that translating into screaming he really has something. I think the people that say he could possibly acceptably run an offense designed around him, with top flight talent in support, are probably about right. But I can’t see any Pro Bowls or lofty accomplishments in my crystal ball.

No, I didn’t. I am not really a popular culture guy, I saw a couple of clips. TBH he was probably very uncomfortable, I’ll leave that there. People liked Romo at first because he did a great job anticipating the plays and translating that through to his audience. Maybe offering a fresh perspective. I figured Brady might be pretty good at that type of thing too, bringing a QB insight into things. Maybe he just tells Gronk stories. And talks about how they did things.

Re Rattler: We probably could have done something to grab him and have the TE too. He was pick 150. But I didn’t expect it. If Canales truly can help QBs it would be a crime not to have QBs for him to help.

I would have gone Rattler this year. Personally I don’t think it would take a number one pick to replace Bryce Young. But it’s Tepper so they would swing for the fences. I like the idea of at the very least take a Rattler type when you have the chance and just churn the QB room trying to upgrade it with every move.

Brady will be good. Greg just really upped is profile he will probably get the top job somewhere.

I can’t see expecting that kid to run a pro style play action work from the pocket offense, unless you just want to definitively prove he can’t excel in that environment.
