  1. Yeah it would have mattered because we would probably be at around 50% on the picks and we’d have the ones we traded so we are 50% on them, and DJ Moore on that contract. Net gain of some kind of better. Changing that could have changed the direction prior to the 2023 draft. Maybe we trade those picks for a vet QB. No way to say what would have ensued. I do recognize the black cat factor and probability that something wrong will happen at regular intervals.
  2. I let it run while i was doing other stuff and really need to sit down with it but yes the vibe was much less hyped.
  3. I haven’t started it. It is a real long one. I haven’t seen anything on it here so:
  4. The niece was a nice twist. Did Tepper place her there to aid him in his quest to buy a team?
  5. Fitterer is eating breakfast with Reich, way off the radar at the Tepper trough. I bet he lands as an AD at some dinky college when the Tepper pay runs out. Pretty sure he had ’24 and ’25 left on his contract.
  6. Yep. Whether you would or would not have traded him the first time, It was 1.5 years after they turned down the cheese. Now he needs a fat new deal, it is a totally different equation. I know he can wreck some plays but he is not a take over guy and I don’t think that is worthy of that level deal. And he’ll kill it with the endorsements in NYC so he probably not unhappy.
  7. I was reading it thinking "you wrote that? You could get a job with Hallmark.” Then I saw the chatgpt
  8. I just didn’t want them to pay him was my biggest thing. The two firsts deal, I felt like Tepper wanted to keep him but that is just guessing. You are nuts to reject at least pursuing it. If they offered that initially it is only a starting point.
  9. Yea I have to say, Murray seems unlikable to me, and Young doesn’t. I believe (right or wrong) that Young will watch film without being forced to, and probably understand it a little better too. Despite his physical superiority head to head I wouldn’t want Murray either, but if you are going to pick that size player go with the best tool set. Arm, speed, thicker build, all go Murray. I would pass on him too though.
  10. In fairness he hasn’t had a great environment with how many different ineffective QBs throwing to him. Even Cam, it was his decline and never got any better after with the others. Still hasn’t. How many different OCs and position coaches? Oh well, he has a few games to turn that around while Sanders is marinating.
  11. Yeah, there is something ominous underlying all of this that portends HOF for Eddie.
  12. Lol. You got no sense of humor. I really didn’t know any details about the city council I live a long way away. Yet I knew exactly what was being referenced. How does that make ME a bad guy?
  13. I don’t even know who they are nor have I watched to see who they are but I bet I heard that dog whistle. Cliches are cliches for a reason.
  14. Yeah the fog of war. Scratch war and put in beat writers in preseason.
  15. I am so opposed to the trading to the top pick method it isn’t funny. Up to me I’d probably draft one where they fell, if I liked them, every draft. Until one hit. edit: Again, teams that are in positition to take a generational type do not trade that pick You can only trade for pretty substantial gambles as far as I can figure. Pass.
  16. Letting him play us into the top pick would be the best plan, should that be the path things take.
  17. WTF is this then? This was the response. It is personalized. You allege it is all I talk about. Not true. Ergo my response. I don’t know for sure why you have that impression and suggest maybe you only flag anti Bryce type of stuff. Which I do post criticism and I do express a lack of faith in him.
  18. It is all they can reasonably do. Painted themselves into a corner.
  19. You might get that from outside the org (maybe the league). No one can speak those words and keep a job. True or not. My opinion was similar, he has a lot to prove. edit: That thing about the 3rd year articles... yeah. I hope he either kills it or totally blows again because that middle ground wait another year to judge him is not appealing to me at all.
  20. Lol I say give Tepper the season to stay the fug on the sidelines and behave acceptably (no meddling, no firings, no throwing tantrums with aimed ice cubes or screaming “Phuck!!!” in front of the team and the press, multiple etceteras). If he makes that he might be a little better up the learning curve than the next rich dilettante. It is sort of like how I feel about Young. I really did not want either but on a bad day I put the optimism goggles over one eye.
  21. I think that test will come, if it does, after this season. He pretty much has to buy in to the crappy WRs and buy into it is fixed, and buy into the OL is fixed (which I kind of buy into) and there will be a strong running game... to give his S2 driven selection the tools to succeed.
  22. I appreciate your comments. I don’t think I, as a heavy Bryce critic, even referred to the AT comments, but probably defended people that were just tired of- I will call it 'false positive overload’, or cheerleading I guess. I commented that the team spams fluff and I resent them for it. Basically. Everybody knows where to find that stuff and some days the first four or five threads are from the team PR. It is irritating. Like the CMC gif being up here forever after he was long gone, also irritating. Ands the Bryce ‘debate’. What else is there? Really. It is a component of just any offensive discussion. And if you want all positive, man... that is just not the reality right now.
  23. I talk about other poo, plenty. And because of ‘feelings’ I try and temper or just avoid leaving a comment. I am thinking it is possible you focus on anything you perceive to be critical and don’t register stuff that doesn’t qualify.
