  1. Irma even got us up here. I think it was the first one in all my years here that put storm surge over here on the SC coast and was a gulf storm. I think we had 4-5 feet of surge on top of high tide it was crazy.
  2. That Miami Tennessee game is horrible. Not as horrible as we were before Dalton but not good.
  3. So, we are a farm team now. they take Young also, maybe we can talk.
  4. Sure. You have to know when to leave. After a point it’s too late to leave. Down here I have learned to understand how to wait to the last minute and which way to head. Lots of people left here before Hugo to go inland and get a room if you can find one, only to get whacked with high winds and tornados and stuff. I have it down… wait until I know where it is really going, and give the thousands and thousands of people time to get out and the roads to be clear of that standstill traffic. You have to know. I knew people that stayed in Garden City during Hugo they swore they would never be that stupid again lol A direct hit over Cat 1 or you are in the NE quadrant, you don’t want to be there.
  5. I’m gonna say that two weeks ago this was a lock. Maybe his info is not fresh.
  6. Thanks. I guess I have some reading to do I don’t have any local knowledge about previous water events. PS I think in the future the people who lived and paid little mind, don’t do that again. For years and years I have had to prepare for hurricanes that were less than predicted mostly because they missed us. You can’t afford to ignore the threat.
  7. You probably already saw the 'practice window' thread. No Brooks this week.
  8. So, you guys up that way... What were you expecting? Were people being warned? With the deaths, it sounds like a hurricane party and no one talkng it seriously, but I was not there to know so am curious.
  9. Lord Icege, get real. I hate to have to so strenuously object to your claims but no. That's comical, and I hope you don't really believe that.
  10. Yes sir. Broken, can I call it a factory second or something? A mini Cooper trying to do offroad. He is just a bad design with that tippy toe and the horrible footwork and the jumping and the whole. Man it's been ugg lee all the way. Anyway, peace.
  11. The former, huge factor. No continuity. The latter, I don't believe they were the reason for Bryce Young, all the other draftees, yeah. Big hand in that. But the last couple of drafts looked like coaches influenced some things. Getting their guys. Evero wanted DJ last year, for example. Canales wanted XL I think. Stuff like that is mixed in.
  12. We could list who they had to replace. But we were short the previous season over there with the 3rd rounder on edge setting duty. People talking about it was hidden because teams didn't need to exploit them all game to win. It wasn't just who we lost after 2023. We never had it right to start with. What are those guards making APY? I guess I'm sour also because of the extended time that Lewis was missing in camp/preseason, and played three games and out again. I like him, and Hunt could be an annual Pro Bowl type. But so much money on guards...
  13. I remember watching us play the Cowboys in '09 I think. Watched Nick Hayden get blown off the LOS on runs and pattycaked on passes and being so damned frustrated that we had that for a DT. It's why when Gettleman drafted the two DTs 1 and 2 I fell in love with him. Which didn't last a long time but it was nice then.
  14. Just saying we don't get special treatment on the coast. What we have to pay for insurance would back that up. 35 years of all that stuff, in a high risk flood zone since this place went up. What's happened to those people up there is horrible. They have a hard road for a while.
  15. I am pretty sure he wouldn't have been the guy driving the decision. If he does a good job, and promises he learned his lesson and will never do that again, I'm okay with him. If he does a good job.
  16. Don't know about that. They have all kinds of loopholes. I can underhand throw a bottle or something into the marsh where am, front row. If the saltwater didn't ingress, but the wind blew the roof off let's say, or part of it and the rain ruins everything inside, flood people ain't paying. That includes any damage to the stairs, gutters, outside compressor Heat/AC. I got to beg to FEMA then.
  17. My mind was 95% certain he was not an NFL guy but I didn't have any idea that would be THAT horrible a second year. I was resigned to him being able to string us along and was also dreaming of the high pick after missing out this year. I said 17 games at the top of this, but also I figured I already knew and by 7 or 8 games it would be clear to everyone. Wanted to give him every benefit of the doubt so people would be able to see - time for the OL to get a groove and Brooks to be back and Legette to be worked in some. He is SO bad, poison on the field.
  18. We get to see him against Horn in practice. The staff does WRs, they are supposed to know his value. Yes to hearing offers before the deadline. And if you are going to pay top dollar, shop around. There will be options, at least see what they are.
  19. I'm not bitching about Burns. He wasn't going to be reasonable, let them pay him. I'm bitching about sacrificing the defense for the offense. They could have given the D back a taste. No, it's like: "defense, sell one of your guys so we can help Bryce be Drew Brees"; you will get nothing and like it lol. The defense got the short end the last three years. 3 years is too long for that to go on. Even shitty QBs can beat you if you get no pressure. And I love OL and I love that the offense looks professional, I do. Go figure, one player does that. But it's still the offense gets a steak and potato for dinner the defense gets a hot dog and chips.
  20. Yeah. I know. I am cranky over this toothless defense. all of a sudden having one matters.
  21. I don't hear any concession to the facts. Numbers say what they say. Peace.
  22. Imaginary pie ^ also, it is absurd for him and his people to be shocked at his demotion. Games, being played. Setting up their next one.
  23. Well, damn. Will you agree to Underfunding the defense? Because if not I struggle to align with your argument.
  24. When you see the seashell fossils in the mountains, and don't process that as being so much bigger than us, I think it's hard to say definitively what we could do about it anyway.
