  1. We have different people in place to do that now, but people don't seem to recognize that. I don't much care where they come from but this taking the third best QB top five in the draft over valuation because of the position, yeah we don't need to participate in that. I build up an imaginary scenario where we can trade out of that position not too far back and get the defensive stud we want while having ammo to trade back into the late 1st if a QB falls. That we want.
  2. I've said plenty before about we have shorted the defense, all about it. But I'd like to incorporate non first round QB into the thinking. If there is one that could make sense we need to try. Building up the team is what allowed Jake to happen. So in favor of it. Jake was pretty 'league average' outside of his spirit and took us a long way.
  3. Well, I hate to side with Tepper or sound like it because I really wish he were not here, but if you take the most current thing in isolation, Cam was very critical of the organization over the Bryce benching. Defended Bryce with the same criticism that came from the ESPN bunch. That doesn't get you free trips to hang out with the team. So there is something that needs fixing.
  4. That is in the context of joining a team to play football. . This has turned into a discussion of specifically why Cam and the organization have issues, not as much why he wasn't in Germany when the other ex players were. Which seems to possibly have a practical explanation. Personally - when he put the blame on the organization in defense of Bryce and it isn't Bryce's fault he showed me something. Not sure what, but it was some sort of agenda.
  5. If you get Prime, you get your 'free' stream within two days.
  6. It is football, still. You control the LOS, both sides, you win that game most of the time. Jenkins, we took so long to replace him. Way too long. Gettleman won me over big with his first draft. But he is another story.
  7. NFL is too cheap to make refs full time. I can't decide if that is good or bad.
  8. That's some fickle poo. Last year he was the man. This year, a lot of injuries it sounds like, some struggles, he sucks.
  9. Let me ask, because I haven't taken the time to learn everything about this: Aren't these ex players in question involved with the team this season? TD is on Panthers Huddle, Jake does the broadcasts, etc etc. I don't know who does what but it mostly looks like is the legend types that are visible at team functions, on the payroll, and so on. Cam is trying to fry bigger fish and for whatever reason isn't involved. Without getting into the 'whys' of the Cam/Panthers discord, this doesn't look like some sort of pointed exclusion. Molehill or mountain? Leaning molehill.
  10. I was being straight, I had never considered that he was so small they wouldn’t sneak it with him, until it happened.
  11. I didn’t know about the sneak but this other stuff we were saying for why you don’t take him.
  12. If you watch enough you see the less obvious ways the refs can call games to engineer outcomes. Throwing flags, or maybe more importantly, not throwing them. Picking up flags. Not blowing whistles. Blowing whistles. Play clocks even. When to start the clock. Stop it. Lag a little here, anticipate a little there, it adds up benefitting one side hurting the other. (I think the Panthers are the perfect team for the Chiefs to have a fluke loss against, as far as it goes. If we beat them maybe look closer.)
  13. There wasn't anything stacked or whatever about the 2023 class. One guy. That we were supposed to take but someone just had to learn a lesson.
  14. He is better now on the short drops which is why they are being called I think - because they limit him to the 1 2 3 plant ball is out - no time to think. Thanks about as far as it has gotten. And you are right they are not really right. But at least they aren’t that really wrong crap he does when left to take a deeper drop. Some of those 10 and 15 yard throws are pretty good, I think that is his limit though. Slightly better velocity when the form is correct. But he is bumping up against that ceiling already, there isn’t much more to see I don’t think.
  15. The first 13 probably not that bad considering. But the last 6 or 7 of them? The answer you were looking for.
  16. He can improve on his knowing there is actually a pocket to step into and where it is and will be. He can 1000% still improve his mechanics and maybe eke out a little more zip. But there is a high chance he can't see when he is in the pocket and and would have to find launch lanes more or less to see downfield. I haven't seen anything that tells me he will solve it and when he gets against the better defenses they won't let him run around much, I am pretty sure. It is going to be screens, flairs, nearfield throws with a little downfield sprinkled in or forced in if we are in a shootout (lol, it will be a shoot down). And a ton of handoffs. (same as what we have been seeing basically)
  17. So they didn't give him an INT on the XL ball. He is trying. I see him trying to hang in there and step into his throws. I will give him that. He has gotten it out past 12 yards more often. But he isn't hitting on much downfield. And I don't think he will be able to, with any consistency. Let's remember that one of those completions was a prayer. And how many were there?
  18. We have seen what he can do with the football, I think is what people are referring to as his ceiling. Whatever he does with that ability, that's maybe another thing. These weren't really stiff challenges the last couple of weeks, and we could not do enough to win that game in the second half. It was given away by the Giants in OT. Right now he is doing about like I expected which is why I picked us for 5 or 6 wins I forget. And yes I knew the defense was not going to help us much.
  19. I liked Jared Allen for one year, haven't seen him mentioned maybe I missed it (?). Jake, yeah. Sam for sure. Can we count Moose? Signed him back.
  20. There was talk his arm came back stronger after the procedure and the rehab. So if we need Lewis to throw a football we're in good shape.
