  1. it didn’t take a couple of days for me but I was a lowly high school player when that happened, not a fine tuned highly trained guy. Practice. I lined up again maybe after a couple of plays on the sideline. Wasn’t long.
  2. I am cured of ever thinking of trading a future 1st round draft pick. I was already there before 2023 happened, it was hard to take. Especially after I watched some film and the wave of support 'went there'.
  3. I’d rather look at that than a diet of quick bailout and throwaways. You might break a little gain from a run.
  4. You are sort of downplaying that it was compounded by the 2024 pick we traded being The One. I understand if we hadn’t have traded we’d not have had the first pick probably but it was gonna be high. After watching Stroud last year, we may see a repeat outcome with Williams. They say he is looking great. What a folly. I was right there with the people saying the play was just too risky. Young was and is a long shot you don’t do that for a long shot. I always came back to when it looks like a can’t miss generational player (the kind worth trading for), people don’t trade that.
  5. My plan for Icky was blocked when they signed those two guards. He wouldn’t be out there on an island, inside. He is scary to be honest. Run blocking fool but too freaking blind for the blindside. Guys pass right by him he doesn’t see them in time to block them. Hell of a run blocker though.
  6. If Young went out and got hurt, what would people say? He is being conservative and it is no fun but the more I consider things there is no reason to force something that doesn’t feel right. I am not on the inside to know. As to what someone said about Tepper allowing it, ha ha this is just the first week I bet he can stay silent a week. I know he is trying lol. Probably can’t stand it.
  7. That deal where Fitterer and Reich ‘kept it a secret’ from each other and were both all in on Bryce -no debate. Did they even have like, panel discussions or was it all, 'write it down and drop it in the box most votes is the pick’? I’m about as curious about this as I am any football stuff in a while. Probably since 2010 Fox and JR with the pie chart.
  8. I been looking around. The Bears are in likely the same mindset, saying Williams may not play because of OL concerns. Whatever they need to do, even if it’s frustrating. I’m really curious to see what it (the offense) looks like.
  9. He should be deferred to I think, because he knows what he wants for his scheme. This feels like a favor though, given the reports about how his injury is affecting him.
  10. I’d be betting they asked Evero and he feels like giving the guy a look because he’s coached him. It costs little. They don’t lose their top waiver position, this is a mole hill.
  11. Stroud looked great and probably will continue to be, but the book on him may not be written either.
  12. Maybe it was a wakeup call for him. That happens sometimes. And there is little doubt, after looking at last year, that he will get fed the ball.
  13. Trading your future 1st round pick is very rarely a good idea (I took a vote among me myself and I and it is unanimous: we have a strict policy of NEVER trading a future 1st round pick. Got so mad at Hurney for doing that poo). Then you double down with the 9th overall pick, a high second round pick, and a starting WR on a team friendly contract. It is so brilliant a plan that the future 1st you traded becomes the Number one pick of them all.
  14. Jack don’t crack and he will keep your pipes clear too. Glad for him getting a chance. Next week would be fun if they go right down the field to start with. And more fun if he came back with a 60 yard strike to Johnson. Okay doubt that is happening, the little I saw of him he wasn’t hitting on much.
  15. Well, don’t you know they could trade DJ because Bryce wouldn’t need him, Bryce can make lemonade with lesser WRs.
  16. Yeah, I did a look at the size thing before and figured that Brees was about the halfway point between Bryce and prototypical QB size, like maybe 6’3” 220-230 maybe. Brees is small maybe for a QB but Bryce is that much smaller.
  17. When I think about how he looked last year, he needs to be playing because that is how you get better the fastest. And he dearly needs to be better. They spent 150 million just on two guards. Call plays they can protect on. Get your QB some time in the saddle with the new offense. If it is that bad the first series then next time hand it off 3 times and pull him. Just me...
  18. I feel pretty good about Canales overall. He won’t be worse than what we have had. Pretty sure, and he may turn out to be a good move. We gotta get through this year. And find answers.
  19. I feel like yes this place was heavy for the processor. You could not express doubt without catching a ton of scoffing and derision, and being told all about it. and yeah, I was totally against that trade. 1000% You stay at your spot and be creative and be better than having to mortgage your future because you can’t get one any other way.
  20. Unfortunately that wouldn’t have necessarily changed the pick, but yeah we’d have kept a TON of assets.
