  1. Something about that OL that I question. Other than the two guards it is the almost the same OL. Last season most of the issues were the guards. With the upgrade at guards like was done, I don't understand why Bozeman couldn't have worked. I really don't think he is worse than Christensen. Not a major major thing just seems inefficient.
  2. So y’all didn’t It is best people take the high road. I like to see that in the players. But he did what he did that we know about. There was likely a locker room rant or display of frustration to teammates, the usual stuff. Doesn’t really matter.
  3. Word was out. Left behind on a road trip, after the previous week that everyone saw. And fwiw Diontae caused that by acting out. Talking his talk. Looked like if they had to they would have cut him outright. And if you are releasing a player you are saying he has no value to you. edit: it's on him, the low return. He put things out there. On the field, in the postgame comments. I bet that lil act cost him some money when he wants that next deal.
  4. Their OL is about as bad as it gets with guys being out. A couple of weeks ago I am pretty sure they were putting practice quad guys in to start. Like down to 3rd string in a couple of spots. That is gonna suck for Carr too.
  5. I am talking high draft capital more than cap money. There probably won't be any Burns level big cap relief and draft pick booty this year to reallocate to the offense so probably just normal FA stuff - for sure not another pair of trophy players like those guards. It didn't get here in one year it took at least three years of draft neglect (the highest pick used for defense in 3 years is #70). It is time that offense learned to do for itself with what it has and the table scraps like the D has been fed for three damned years. With these offensive minded coaches. I get that a QB will be a necessity. Anything else, if we had to spend I'd say if there is a seriously top flight TE I would probably be willing to sacrifice for that. I don't know of any right now.
  6. Can't assess things accurately now but if the lay of the land looks right I'd trade back and take a QB too, just take him later. If there is an opportunity.
  7. Okay for one thing the defense wouldn't play us with Stroud like they play Bryce. The biggest thing gumming it all up was no stretching the field, almost none. Whatever they did to stretch it scared no one. That is still going on and it's a huge problem. Or a huge symptom of Bruyce's limitations, however it works. It would have been much different with Stroud, the team might have thought they had a chance, too. Which affects things.
  8. Two rookies too. Man, though. We can find a WR down the draft we don't need to keep pumping big capital into this offense with the kinds of defensive holes we have.
  9. They have to play each other though. I think the only team we are in competition with that we play is NYG. Our SOS will be pretty tough the last 7 or 8 games. Jets and Pats and Dolphins all play each other enough to maybe each get a win. Titans Jags play.
  10. Legette is a good teammate sounds like.
  11. I'm sure mom and dad will be. I damned sure won't be. Just lose baby. So, we are gonna get some Brian Burns on Icky soon, it looks like. That will be fun
  12. Well, how did that work out? Doesn't seem to be any way to defend that whole sequence. He may be a jerk but he would have to be totally narcissistic to not understand that he fuged up. Maybe he is that clueless and there will only be more. Or maybe he starts to learn that he does not know the same as people who have put their life into football. It's the only hope there is.
  13. That's how I remember it, not cut specifically but I didn't think he was in the plans and we were happy to get something.
  14. You saw those games though. With Thielen and Diontae both having fits with Young because he was so bad. I don't know that proves anything about Tepper, you'd have to be blind to disagree with Canales on that. I'd like to think he has backed off but it is hard to know and with his track record it is fair to be skeptical.
  15. I am afraid the focus will be on this little QB again. At that point I won't give a poo what they do with the defense. Or the offense or the turf or the concerts or the soccer team or any of their poo.
  16. How close do you want to look? You can always find them. For me, it is the Bryce's big buddy aspect that I don't find any attraction in. If he wants to whore himself out to be the next guy's big buddy I have no problem with him. He is a pro.
  17. That poo would seriously relieve me of some guilt, because I want to abandon ship right now but the years/decades of loyalty keep holding me back.
  18. That or Sanders. I don't think a value judgement made regarding the 2024 season necessarily locks anyone into 2025 and beyond.
  19. I did respond but specifically, yeah Wilks would not have been much different than Reich regarding Bryce Young. I didn't mean to extend that to all rookie QBs though. Actual prototypes would likely not have met the same fate. If it mattered I'd have relied on Wilks to talk some sense into Tepper regarding the NFL and what you need at QB. Failing that, no Wilks.
  20. I made another post that was more descriptive of my thoughts on how it may have gone with Wilks but I am of the opinion that if it came down to Bryce Wilks would balk, hard.
  21. We were talking about the guards to start with I think. Kind of living in the past, too, prior to signing those Guard$. He isn't the biggest issue at all but... if we have to pay him like top whatever LOT he loses some currency.
  22. That was after Wilks was gone. I don't know how what I stated was not open ended enough to allow for all of that and not still be accurate. It was more of a comment of (on) the way things went.
