Talk to me about the Patriots, what do you know?
bigdog10 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ironically enough, Bill B teams have always struggled with mobile QB’s. If Brady is worth his salt as a coordinator, he will scheme up some zone reads and RPO’s for PJ. -
I'd like to file a missing person's report
bigdog10 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
His stats are down but his impact is still there. He’s eliminating the running back on nearly every pass play because they are having to chip him because he’s flying around tackles. -

Just a good play by that safety. Hope Robbie is ok. -

Incredibly boring team to watch. -
I think we win this one. This team historically drags me back in when I’m ready to throw in the towel.

Is this season boring to you?
bigdog10 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
The book is out on Rhule. Your kidding yourself if you think vets will be lining up to play for this rah rah college coach. The DBO sign is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen at the professional level. I always thought Rhule was in over his head, but the minute I heard about this nonsense is the minute I knew we were on the countdown to our next coach. -
People will continue to poo on Hurney and he’s done enough damage to this franchise to deserve it, however if he had his way last year; we’d have our franchise under center in Justin Herbert.
-
Trotting out the likes of Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinekie, Teddy Bridgewater, PJ Walker, Will Greir and Sam Darnold will do that to a fan base. the last time I cared so little about this team was 2010. Luckily, that led to Cam.

I’m watching just to see how they respond. This game will tell you more about this coaching staff than any prior game has to date. If they come out flat and get stomped, big changes will need to be made. If they bounce back, I’ll have a little faith restored that Rhule is capable of righting a listing ship.
-
This is a result of two things: 1. Poor fundamentals that he’s had for his entire pro career 2. A really bad offensive line that has sped up his timing. Unfortunatley, neither are fixable this year. PJ walker is equally as bad

If I’m Brady, I’m bolting for one of those college jobs ASAP. Save a little face while you can. It’s not like anything he could do could fix the lack of talent on the offensive line or Darnold seeing ghosts again.

When did you give up on Matt Rhule?
bigdog10 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ve always thought he was in over his head, but when we were up 26-7 on the Saints late in the fourth quarter and CMC was still in the game getting carries and taking hits, it solidified it for me. Your primary weapon is taking shots in a meaningless spot with a win wrapped up coming off a year where he was injured and also coming off years where he has been run into the ground. It’s just a complete lack of awareness, which is something a good head coach simply doesn’t have. -
I don’t want to defend Joe Brady here but we were 2-15 on third downs. It was incredibly tough to continue running the ball when the qb couldn’t covert you on third and short. If you go back to a few of those drives, we picked up five or six yards on first down on the ground, but then either gave up a sack, had a drop, or Sam was incredibly off target on a throw.
-
I’m sort of indifferent towards him. On one hand, I think Rhule hasn’t done him any favors (drafting all defense, signing garbage offensive lineman, trying to get him to fix Darnold behind a bad line). He’s also been without his best weapon in all but six games. In the six games he’s had him, the team is 4-2. On the other hand, his play calling is sub optimal and is easily predictable. He does nothing schematically to help the oline out and is completely lost without CMC bailing him out. I won’t be sad to see him go but I don’t wish any ill on him.

Fitterer Has To Be On The Phone Right Now With Houston
bigdog10 replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fitterer needs to be on the phone with teams in contention to try and get some of our draft capital back. We are going to need those third and fourth round picks. I’d Sell Donte right now to the highest bidder. I love the guy, but we’re not paying him with what we have on the roster at corner. I’d be shocked if we couldn’t get a third or fourth out of him. Id do the same with Reddick. He could easily fetch a third or fourth to a team as a rental looking to make a playoff push. Robby is another one, but nobody is taking on that contract. -
If the colts fired frank Reich, we should hire him as HC immediately.
-
Absolutely done. A young team with QB issues, Oline issues, and our veteran leadership probably comes from a guy we just acquired from the Patriots. Yeah, this team is winning two more games max. Maybe a game against the Falcons, dolphins or football team. That’s it.

Let's just go on record right now. Who you picking Shula or Brady
bigdog10 replied to Snake's topic in Carolina Panthers
It was a terrible decision when Shula incorporated so much of the read option into Cams game (for Cams future) but it also produced a near perfect record, an mvp campaign, and qb rushing td totals that are insane. Shula coached to Cams strengths. So far, I’ve seen no indication that Brady is capable of coaching to any of our players strengths. -
Sam Darnold : Will he make it to a 2nd season here?
bigdog10 replied to glenwo2's topic in Carolina Panthers
We’re doing an awful job of trying to fix him right now. From the play calling to the oline, it’s all garbage.
