Falcons take Shelton? -
Falcons have told pot head Ray they will Draft him at #7

Falcons leaking this in my opinion means they are targeting someone else and are afraid they may get leap frogged -
Good deal. I'll get a head count and let you know. We'd most likely do the lowers anyway.

Haven't read through the entire thread. Riot, are you at capacity? I may have a group of 10-12 that want to go.

What's your guess? I'm thinking we get Washington at home at 1:00.

Kuchar. 28-1.

I'm all for giving guys fresh starts. It worked for Ginn and Mitchell

Hardy to choose between Cowboys and Bucs
bigdog10 replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hope he gets extremely overpaid and we net a 3rd out of this deal. Even before the domestic violence stuff I think he was probably walking after last year anyway (don't think they would have given him a long term deal with Cam and Luke's contracts coming up or tagged him twice) This situation may just let us recoup some of our losses on him from this prior year in the form of a 3rd rounder. I'm good with that. -
No: Eagles rather have Kiko Alonso and Murray than McCoy.

Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle
bigdog10 replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it's fairly obvious that Oher isn't the answer at LT (hence the 2 year deal). Oher is nothing more than a filler until we can address the LT position through the draft or FA (when we have more money to spend). My point wasn't so much directed at you as it is of the tone of the majority here to complain about the move. The only move that should have received unanimous grief from the fan base would have been to bring back Bell. -
Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle
bigdog10 replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
You mean like Norwell, Turner, and Remmers??? or are you like 95% of the other over-reactors here that just focus on the failed LT experiment with Bell and Chandler? DG has drastically improved the state of our line in his first two seasons and (like it or not) he just upgraded the LT position by letting Bell walk. Granted, a stationary tackling dummy would be an upgrade over Bell, but Oher is an upgrade. Furthermore, he's paired Oher with his old OL coach. If there is anyone in the league that knows how to get the best out of Oher, it is going to be him. I don't love the idea of Oher being our best option at LT, but i'm happy that the Byron Bell experiment has finally come to an end and excited to see if Oher can be coached up to his prior playing level. -
There are some huge moves being made. Complete division and conference shake up type moves. FA day is usually absurd with all the big money being shelled out to mid tier guys and maybe a couple top tier guys, but this is insane. McCoy Traded Graham Traded Ngata Traded Marshall Traded Unger Traded lots of probowls between the above group

Ted Ginn Jr agrees to 2 year deal with Panthers
bigdog10 replied to jamos14's topic in Carolina Panthers
Welcome back Ted! -
I've got no problem with the signing. I think Gettleman has shown that he is not content at any position and will look to upgrade with players as he sees fit. This is a low risk (considering we are coming off of having the worst starting lineman in the league play of this team) signing. I don't really think it is fair to judge him on his time with the titans. The Titans were a dumpster fire from top to bottom and were easily the worst team in the league last year (I honestly believe the bucs would beat them 8 out of 10 times if they played).

Cam Newton should be paid more than Luck or Wilson
bigdog10 replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
. Both are critical to their teams offensive production. What sets Cam a little bit apart is what he does with his legs on the running game.- 181 replies

Has Voth changed his opinion of Hardy's future?
bigdog10 replied to Nick_81's topic in Carolina Panthers
Big moment for Jerry here if it is the team leaders advocating for his return. Jerry will have a chance to choose the shield by letting him go or back his franchise by trying to keep him. At least that will be the perceptions of some in this fan base and maybe some in that building at mint and morehead. -
I see both sides of the argument here and I really struggle to find myself a side that I agree with more than the other. On one hand, I love the fact that the franchise prides itself on high quality guys. That is a very admirable trait in any organization in any line of business. I think it is great that they have a standard and way of doing things and expect players to fit. With that said, I'm also disappointed in the lack of backbone and hypocrisy in this organization. Hardy, as crazy as he may be, is one of our guys. Clearly a guy who needs help (not financially but supportive). He needs a unit with strong leadership to aid in his maturation. An organization with high moral standards would punish the player and then do everything in their power to see that he is given help. With the above said, that may have taken place and we just aren't privy to it. Maybe Hardy alienated himself with his reaction to how all this went down, or maybe the team knows more about the situation than we do. I really hope that is the case. The franchise could do a lot for themselves in the eyes of their fan base by making a statement on the matter, but we all know that won't happen with Richardsons and Gettlemans mum-media policy. In the end, if he is cleared in his trial, some other team will reap the benefits of a pass rusher who was well developed under this coaching staff and this franchise will be left with the moral badge of honor for "doing the right thing." The other franchise will not find any fall out from the media as the narrative on his case will then have changed to "Hardy found innocent, cleared to play." And before anyone questions it, hitting a woman is deplorable. If he's found guilty, I hope he never plays again and gets the help he needs.

Thomas Davis named Walter Payton Man of the Year
bigdog10 replied to cardiackat88.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
He deserves the award for what he's endured with injuries in the league. He earned the award with what he does off the field. Kudos to whoever made the selection. TD is one of a kind. -
Any thoughts on Jamison Crowder from Duke?
bigdog10 replied to Sam Mills Fan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's worth taking in the fifth. The guy is a great returner and catches everything. He's been the second biggest reason for dukes recent success. The first obviously being the head coach. -
Ugh. That sucks. Hope he heals up soon.

Hey Saints Fans Gotcha. I figured you would show the world what pieces of poo you really were. You didn't disappoint. -Cam

The defense should be licking their chops at this matchup. Miami can't run and thier oline is in shambles. The defense should control this game. Hopefully the offense has a similar type game and can move the ball against a very underrated Miami defense.
