Article about Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett
bigdog10 replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m not sure if you are saying this disparagingly, but Dan Campbell has looked more than OK with absolutely nothing in Detroit. His team has been fighting and in a ton of games they have had no business being in. If he can draft well and get the right qb, he’s gonna make for a good coach in Detroit. If you want to jump Mr Scot’s poo, there is plenty of source material based on his feelings about Brandon Beane when he was originally rumored to be Marty’s successor. -
I agree. I think this staff is in too deep, but this actually appears to be a step in correcting a problem. Unfortunately, it’s too little way too late.
-
There’s nothing short of a 5-0 finish that would want me to keep Rhule around.
-
With Ron, it was pretty evident what was holding him back from being a good coach. It was his lack of aggressiveness in key situations. With Rhule, I can’t identify what’s holding him back and that’s what scares the s*** out of me. We have the same problems carrying over from last year with regards to the third quarter ineptitude and he doesn’t have an answer. That is all the evidence I need that he’s in over his head.
-
I’d like to add that he has losses and has been thoroughly out coached by the following coaches. Jon Gruden (no longer in the league) Matt Nagy (soon to be fired) Mike Zimmer twice (soon to be fired) Vic Fangio (may be fired) Nick Siriani (rookie head coach) Joe Judge (soon to be fired) Brian Flores (may be saving his job with this winning streak) Ron Rivera

I never thought about the quality win, but you are absolutely right. Here are the wins: at LAC vs rookie herbert Vs Arizona (probably his best win) at Atlanta who was really bad last year Vs Detroit (PJ walker game) at WFT (Dwayne Haskins draft pick ruined game) Vs New York Jets (rookie Zach Wilson game) Vs New Orleans (Saints missing many coaches, starters, and hurricane issues) at Houston (Davis Mills game) vs Atlanta (awful team) at Arizona (good win but missing qb and top five receiver) Outside of the two Arizona games, he’s done nothing Ironically, his two most signature games are the losses where they stood toe to toe with the packers and the chiefs on the road

You missed the point. I’m not downing Cam. The point is about how bad this line is.

Person: Rhule could be next, but probably not this year
bigdog10 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
The problem is the qb situation should be clearer at the tail end of year two and it is more murky than when he started here. If I’m Tepper, and money isn’t the issue, I’m getting this dude out of the way and letting Fitterer and the new coach come in and begin the building process again. -
Are we still pooing all over Darnold after seeing what Cam was able to do behind that offensive line in Miami? Darnold is by no means the answer, but how can anyone effectively judge anything behind the atrocity that is Dennis Daley, John Miller, Matt Paradis, and Pat Efelein. we like to think we surrounded Darnold with better weapons than he had In NY, but what good are those weapons if he’s getting hit before he hits his back foot. Also, I was 100% on board with Minshew, but let’s not kid ourselves into thinking he wouldn’t be getting killed behind this oline and with Joe Brady’s ineptness at running an offense.

This firing isn’t enough tepper. We all can see that the emperor has no clothes (aka Rhule is not an nfl caliber coach)
-
The only way I’m giving Rhule another year if I’m Tepper is the following things happening. 1. He plays the rookies on the offensive line so that they can learn on the fly. 2. He wins 3 of his final 5 games with one of those being against Tampa the first time or on the road in Buffalo. Beating the Falcons, wounded Saints and a resting bucs team will not cut it. 3. the defense is noticeably better in the last five games and guys haven’t mailed it in. 4. Special teams is without a blunder the rest of the way. Not necessarily a missed pat or FG, but having kicks blocked and big returns can not happen.

Not sure I understand the hate for Fitt on anything but the oline signings. The trade for Henderson is absolutely worth the pick. He was a top ten pick last year and we should be able to recoup a third or fourth comp pick, which essentially means we traded 20 or so draft positions and Dan Arnold for a former top ten talent from just a year ago. The Gilmore trade was a no brainer. Jones and Fox have been serviceable. Horn looked like a slam dunk before the injury. We can argue about the Darnold trade but the offenses performance this past Sunday alleviates some of the blame we laid on Darnold. We have a poorly ran offense behind the worst oline in football. It’s hard to judge anyone under center at the moment.

I’d trade rosters and coaching staffs with the Saints immediately.

Moore-would be a good teams incredible WR2. Is a middle of the pack WR1 and not a game breaker. Chinn-out of position. Absolutely no reason he should be out of the box with his ability to tackle and hit. Burns-The giants exposed our defense and subsequently how to prevent burns from popping off. The read option coupled with power runs his was, completely erase him. It also doesn’t do him any favors that we haven’t been playing with a lead in a while. Great player though. Carter-great depth. Absolutely should not be a full time starter at MLB. Derrick Brown-unless he’s injured and we don’t know it, he’s easily the most disappointing player on the panthers this year. We didn’t draft him to wreck the qb, but he’s having zero impact on games in the pass or the run Phil Snow-He’s the coach id blame the least for the recent struggles but his defense has been a bit exposed due to its personnel. I don’t necessarily think it is his scheme.

Draft order if the season ended today (pretty weird)
bigdog10 replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some embarrassing company we find ourselves amongst, but I guess with this regime, we fit right in. -
Yep. They have zero excuses not to play BC or a healthy Deonte Brown moving forward. Honestly it would be in their best interest to play them both. If they play well or at least average, Rhule and Fitterer can puff their chests a bit about their ability to evaluate lineman. However, if they bomb out, add another log to the burning fire.

Rhules staff needs complete gutting on the offensive side of the ball. Honestly, I’m not sure how this works unless there is a complete regime change.

Carolina Panthers HC's - Winning % Through First Two Seasons
bigdog10 replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
This place was screaming for Rivera’s head two weeks into year three. I like to think it was what prompted River Boat to be born that year. Difference in them and now is that you could see a future with Cam at QB. We are a rudderless ship right now. If we give Rhule another year and he starts slow, this place will be whipped up into a frenzy (with good reason). -
Looking ahead to this offseason *Warning* Not for the Weak Stomach

The bad decisions that this franchise has made in the first 28 games of the Rhule tenure will set this franchise back at minimum another five years. CMC contract Darnold trade Drafting Brown and Horn over offensive linemen -
He’s never gonna be healthy again. He had ten carries yesterday and still got banged up. Damaged goods. His contract is going to go down as one of the worst in panthers history.

Matt Rhule: "We have to double down on our approach"

Doubling down on Zero still equals zero.
