  1. Andy Dalton. The more I think about it. Dalton. Our greats have spoke of how they wouldn’t have turned out the way they did without the mentoring they received. For Luke it was 58 and 88. For 89 it was Proehl and Mushin. Look at our line this year. Mentoring. Dalton may have a future as a QB coach. Here’s what you do when you see X and Y. You think it’s Z but it’s actually R. This is where you go and what you do. Let me walk you through the right way to study film. All of these things will inspire confidence. I’m sure guys in the locker room talk to him a bit different now that they see him dropping dimes in clutch time. That has to feel good. I think dude realizes maybe he does belong in the NFL.
  2. Someone, something, somewhere helped him to get his head right. A knowledge deficit would not have been overcome to this level this quickly. Likewise for physical. His give a damn was shattered. I’m sure Andy has played a large roll, but it’s more than just that. It’s hard to ask for a better mentor. Maybe he’ll open up at some point.
  3. This. BPA and a DC who will go back to a 4-3. I’d be overjoyed with a stud DE or DT but if a game changing, consensus BPA, LB, LT, Center, WR or safety is there then that’s who you take. I truly believe we have better talent on D than is currently on display since the scheme is so poor.
  4. Best rookie WR prospect panthers have had since when? Drops are brutal but this is where Thielen is so important in his development. With Bryce version 1.0, X didn’t really have much of a training camp and everything was new. He’s getting open and has made some clutch grabs. I’m cautiously optimistic.
  5. Thielen is a stud, period. He’s still that dude. That grab was the best catch I’ve ever seen a panther make, even over McCaffery’s or Greg’s. Can the he’s old and washed up narrative please just die? This is a different offense with him on the field. He draws a lot of respect from opposing defenses and they know that he will beat you if you give him a chance.
  6. From where this team was the first 2 games… now no longer an easy out for ANYBODY… with Bryce f-in Young playing high level ball, throwing to a bunch of rookies….. this is a got dang MIRACLE.
  7. Eddie has kept us in far more games than he has lost us. This an aberration for him. No telling if anything else was going on. No kick is an easy kick. If he gets the yips off hen different story.
  8. Smarter coaching realizes that they have Mike Evans, Wirfs and a dominating run game and we don’t. I said it when they used this as the excuse for Wilks (please, I’m not rehashing)… nobody is going to stop a motivated Mike Evans when a capable QB has an all pro LT watching his back. Nobody. We needed a long drive churn the clock and beat their brains in strategy that we had last week. Wear their defense down. Nope. I think he desperately wanted, and thought we could go point for point on our way to hanging a 40 burger on his old team with a qb everyone had given up on… sound familiar?
  9. Thanks for the TO Canales. I know you’re new and all, but c’mon bro.
  10. WTF with the TO?!! glad we give Evans and Bucky time to respond to our upcoming score
  11. Reich just got lapped 5x over if bro pulled this move in an effort to get fired. I’ve never seen anything quite like this, ever. We all witnessed NFL history.
  12. I feel for the Chicago PD tonight. There’s going to be so many fights and domestic calls
  13. He showed me more ability this last game than I realized he had. Good thing, but needs to show me consistency. The turnaround in the person that he has been is what has really stuck out to me. I’m serious when I say that he looks like someone who had some personal ish going on, and whatever it was, is now finally made good and they can go back to being themselves again. If we continue to get that level of play consistently… we can win with that. I actually long for the day where I can confess how wrong I have been.
  14. NFL athletes are just a different breed. My middle aged ass would have been in surgery that night. Edit: props to Dan for the type of dudes he’s bringing in.
  15. It has come a long way from where it had been, but still a very, very last resort. You want a neurosurgeon in his mid 50s whose third divorce was finalized 6 mos ago. He’s had time to start dating another nurse(s) and doesn’t have to come home to another drunk wife and a wrecked Range Rover…. kid, I kid.
  16. Ted Dibiase did say “everybody’s got a price”
  17. That is correct. I’d love to see their neuro exam in action as it goes down in the tent. I suspect with Sanders being who he is that they could have warmed up the MRI machine for him. I hope his shoulder is ok as it looked like he came down on it pretty hard. As for his neck… not going to feel too good when he has to whip his head around to track a pass. I wouldn’t be surprised if they held him out at least a week. Necks and backs can be dicey. That spasm is a bish.
  18. Is that seriously who does the tent evals for head injuries? Suck it up and put a neurologist on the sidelines…. But no neurologist would ever clear a player to return that day so that would never fly.
  19. Healthy Brown and a dominating, DE will COMPLETELY change the complexion of this defense. If Dan can hit on one in the draft and add a few other key pieces…
  20. I will levy a compliment that I never thought I could ever, ever give the backpack kid. He looked like a football player today. Just typing that gave me chest pain. Run game was shut down, but he still produced against a really tough D. He dropped a few very pretty dimes, led a 4th quarter comeback to tie, and got the piss knocked out of him a few times. Well done, please keep it up.
  21. My man is a dawg out there. Catches everything and gives off the uncoverable vibe. I’m very happy to hear he was discharged. with the mechanism of his injury, if anything weird on the imaging or exam, he stays the night.
