  1. Did those clowns have even 1 red zone appearance today? Holy ish.
  2. This was not the game to chuck bombs downfield. Falcons can run up points with a quickness, their pass rush looked legit last week and no Hunt. A few sacks and 3 and outs and the game is completely different. This game was a grinder, beat them physically and maintain long drives where they have to stop Chuba and keep Bijan Robinson/London off the field as much as possible. Bryce’s goal was to get first downs and move the sticks. To go all air raid today would have guaranteed an L. I’m not really high on Young at this stage of his career but fair is fair. He executed the plan and it was very effective. ATL today was who they’ve always been. Soft. They ran in to a team that punched them in the face from the first snap. Penix heard footsteps all game, didn’t like any of it and it showed. Our team created a lot of film on ATL that opposing teams will greatly appreciate. I suspect that getting Coker back will be enormous.
  3. Agreed. Nothing wrong with keeping it classy but everyone has their way of carrying themselves. A bit cringe worthy for my taste.
  4. lol. Yup. if everything works out as it should, things will work themselves out naturally.
  5. They had a plan in place to beat a team that on paper is far superior and it worked. Bryce made some bad throws but he also had a lot of good ones too. He did what was needed to win. Credit where credit is due. Top to bottom a team win. Special teams was the best I’ve seen since I don’t know when. We have a dude who can bust 57 yd field goals. Dude boomed punts in to the stratosphere.
  6. Shout out to Chuba. Another weak of punishing and demoralizing runs that put this team in 2nd/3rd and short more often than not.
  7. 1. I’ll be the first in this thread: In Dan I trust. 1 offseason and the defense looks like it may have real NFL talent. They’ll still get torched at times this year, but this team just kept 2 of the best RBs in the league largely in check. Drake was a non-factor. Penix heard footsteps all game and that absolutely factored in to his horrible throws. 2. 74 points. In the last 2 games, 74 points against the clowns and won 2 in a row.
  8. This team has now won 2 in a row against the Falcons, with 74 total points scored. Very few things feel as good as beating the piss out of the falcons. Another year, same falcons. Paper tigers. Don’t know what to do when they get hit in the face. Penix played like he was hearing footsteps all game.
  9. Those pulled hammies can take a REALLY long time to heal. Rest up XL. Ice up. Told y’all, addition by subtraction.
  10. The game wasn’t supposed to go this way. It’s like draft night with Sanders.
  11. Very well done defense. 6 quarters of handling 2 of the most difficult RBs in the league.
  12. I will say the panthers have at least shown up, thus far today.
  13. He’s set financially for life barring complete fiscal lunacy. He has $12.3 million guaranteed. Think about that. Twelve million three hundred thousand dollars, he’ll be 28 years old when his contract is up and he’s completely forgotten about if he never plays another down in the NFL if he so chooses. Say after taxes he ‘only’ brings home $6M (fire your accountant territory) and parks $4M in a run of the mill mutual fund… good God… What I’m getting at, IF homie ain’t feeling the NFL, he has 12,300,000 reasons to take the fewest NFL edition ass kickings as possible while waiting out his very wealthy non-football future. Obviously completely talking out of my a$$ with this… but if you hated contact, didn’t want to live with a completely wrecked body for the rest of your life and you know you’re set financially… what path would you take, assuming you’re cool with being a quitter (not calling him a quitter, I’m just playing out a scenario)? Why do so many first rounders bust? Where was he before his one year wonder if he was such a stud? Everybody likes the dude on a personal level. How could you not? …. but I like seeing a winning product even more. He doesn’t play like his head is in the game. The Why is where the speculation lies and helps to clarify if his issues are ‘fixable’ or not.
  14. Is it bad when our UDFA can’t get healthy fast enough so the first rounder can ride the pine?
  15. Next QB needs to be 6’3” 240 and put a football through a cinderblock wall. this retread QB aggression will not stand, man.
  16. Stepping on to a team with Wirfs, Evans and a perpetually good defense in the weakest division in the NFL. Dream landing spot. I always liked Baker. I appreciated his heart and moxie… 2 essential franchise QB qualities.
